Many of us deal with liking someone in many different ways; some are shy, some are straight forward, and others are just stalkers/lurkers. I've been lucky enough to not have to deal with asking anyone to be my girlfriend, all my past girlfriends have all asked me. Personally, I believe that I am very egotistical and even though I have a crush on someone, I do not let it be known, unless they approach me. I do not like feeling vulnerable to making my ego be hurt by the likes of denial which is why I'd rather wait and make her ask me or not be asked at all. Surprisingly, I haven't had a problem with this until recently, my current crush is exactly the same way as me and we both know we like each other we're just very egotistical. :/
Discuss: How do you approach your crush? How have you dealt with approaching someone in the past?

I do not realize I like someone and had no idea my (now) fiancé liked me until he kissed me on one of our first few dates. I have never asked someone I liked them mainly because... I was/am pretty clueless! redface
It is not that I am an airhead etc., I just seem to not realize it! It honestly drove my friends crazy during high school.
My fiancé (Tyler, hence the screen name xD ) was/is pretty... weird, in that sense. Neither of us asked the other out, we just, were together, like an unwritten, unsaid change in our relationship that we both understood.
When reading yours, sounds like that is what might happen with your crush? whee

I'm the shy sort. I'm usually outgoing, but I had an early and embarrising experience with telling a guy I like him... I guess guys just think I'm a piece of ugly crap, because every guy I've told that I've liked them has rejected me and embarrasssed me. I hate it. I wish crushes could stop.

That is Pretty hard to say, but to to approach someone is to be playful, and talkative if you can. For my experience, I had only 1 girlfriend and that only, i approached her with shyness, and a bit of a playful mood, (in school of course) She recognized me, As time progressed, we started hanging out more walking together, and such. Until one day we became official. Just for that we spent about 7 month in middle school and we broke up, i had chances to be with her but i didn't take it. And i was a idiot. But over all, approach with Shyness and A bit playful, maybe act that you didn't hear her, and she'll respond if you ignore of course.

They think I'm gonna hurt them somehow... sweatdrop I'd hurt one of them, but not the other. He's nice. The guy I have a crush on now though is pretty good friends with me, so he's not afraid of me.

I'm a really shy person when I'm around a person I like but I gave him a letter saying how I like him ( well I wrote the letter and I was to scared to give it to him but my friends started carrying me and pushing me to give it to him so I finally gave it to him but after that I ran away I still don't know how he fills about me
