Yes, I know I signed up for the post as event head by making the subforum, but I need some help ^^;

Even if I could put up all the basic threads myself and have the ready for the members, I'd like some help with two tiny questions

1) When the heck IS the next event in the American calendar?? I live in Sweden so prom was long ago here - did we miss the American one as well? Since the prom dress contest is over?? I thought gaia would announce prom gonk

2) How should we do with funding? I don't mind holding smaller contests funded by myself, or things that doesn't need prizes at all, but should we have something bigger funded by the guild at large?

Final note
The threads I was thinking of for the event forum would be "make a tektek themed after the event", "event hangout", "colour me wonderful" (a contest in colouring a lineart themed after the event) and "bump contest".

Winners would be announced after the event is over, when the forum is closed and the event staff (aka me) cleans up.

Ok, if I remember right, Gaia prom last year was announced right about .... NOW. LoL IDK - in the US I think prom season is like between March and May for most schools, depending on when they get out of school for summer. But I think last years Gaia prom after most US schools were out - I guess to give more people a chance to attend the whole thing, since it went throughout the week.

Yeah, July 4th is next, but I don't recall organized events on Gaia surrounding that. After the prom I think think the next events were the Gaia Ball (or whatever that thingy was - you participated in some of that, as I recall, Aryllia) and then summer camp... Then back to school... Blah I'm not sure.

As for helping, I will help any way I can. If there is anything in Captain aquariums accounts for funds, that can be earmarked for contests - and I certainly will donate more as we need it. And once I get some more tanks in the bg threads, I think the Captain will find grabbing a whole lot easier, which should put more funds in his account for our contests.

i am confused on the contests. i am not sure what they are that you are running >.<
also are we only having contests during events?

also they just brought the pools back. if Prom flops and since not everyone is from the US why not just have a "pool party" or something like that....

i always start out with this ideas in my head then half way through typing the all have fallen out...

okay so general long standing contest and event ones. that make sense to me, lol.
i just think if we do a summer thing it might be easiest. we would probably have a town spot, so why not take advantage of the pool?
also what if it was like a week long thing? well at least in the towns. pick a bunch of different times to meet up so we can include different times zones. we could do raffles or goodies bags for the people who show up.
