How do I raise in rank? Who are the main characters, who do I NEED to know? Well all those questions ranging from the need to knows to what you can OOCLY know and what cha character doesn't know. These are the basics and below will have lots of pretty pictures! Oh and then an overall assessment of each subject. This is where you can LITERATELY find WHATEVER your looking for. Just use your tool bar and 'find' any important subject to you. Or. Read the whole thing! 8D!

♦ The NUMBER ONE thing you need to know.
Is, we are an activity semi-heavy pride. This does NOT mean you to rp to be in the pride as per over all SoA shop rules although, if you want to have a rank and high character status- then you may want to rp.

♦ First things first. After posting your joining form and being accepted, please make sure you have a rank firmly in mind for your SoA. If you don't know exactly where that character might fit- please make use of the -citizen- rank til you have a for sure rank in mind.

Rp also has perks! You'll read about those soon!

. : . How To Get A Cert . : .

♦ After posting your joining form and being accepted, please make sure you have a rank firmly in mind for your SoA.

♦ If you are considering changing your rank soon to a higher rank (such as, your SoA starts as a Grunt, then a Fighter, and moves up to Currency Fighter after you gain the roleplays), if you know the change will not take much time, then please Do Not Post for a cert until you have gained your wanted rank through roleplay. This is just to make things easier for your certist (if you do post for a cert, keep in mind that gaining a new cert for each new rank may take a while).

♦ Please advise us/let us know when your rp count has hit the time of upgrading. You may find the UPGRADE form [ here ]. This lets us know where your at in ranks to keep the memberlist updated and so we can prevent people from certing their soa wrongly. Please do not post for a cert with just any rank you choose unless you met the specified requirements!

♦ After being accepted in the [ Joining and Updates thread ], deciding on a rank and gaining your join roleplay,

♦ Once you know your rank, or have an idea of where you'd like your SoA to be, you must get a joining roleplay. This can ONLY be with any adult member of the Upper and Royal classes, If you don't know your rank for sure, you can still do a join roleplay and consider your rank afterwards.

♦ After the joining rp is finished you can then post in the appropriate colourists certing thread. for their 'starting rank'. If you want to wait to get your cert til you get to your desired rank ( we approve this highly ) before asking for a cert, though it is not required, but the rps to get to said rank is STILL a requirement. Please DO NOT get a cert with an upper ranks if you have not achieved the status yet iccly.

♦ Note; you don't need to wait to have a cert to start roleplaying. You can roleplay as soon as you're accepted, and finished your joining roleplay.

. :: . How To Go Up in Rank . :: .

Ranks are based on activity. The higher your activity in the pride, the higher the ranks you can apply for are.

For Example:

If your character starts at Entertainer, but wants to be an Okaa-san they must rise to Currency Entertainer and Geisha before reaching Okaa-san status. They then must satisfy each rise in rank's requirements.
Entertainer to Currency requires five roleplays. Currency to Geisha requires another two roleplays. Geisha to Okaa-san requires five roleplays, and at least three Geisha ready to be part of your Den/Okiya.

It doesn't matter how long it takes for you to go up in rank, you will just be classified in the current rank til you upgrade to the other. First come, first serve, if you wanted one of the more limited ranks like council.

An easy way to think of how many rps you need to get to a specific rank think -

In terms of ranks -
Entertainer - > ( + 5 rps ) Currency - > ( + 2 rps ) Geisha - > ( + 5 rps + 3-4 recruits ) Okaa-san

In terms of Class -
( Middle class ) - Entertainer , ( High Class ) - Currency , ( High Class ) - Geisha, ( Upper Class ) - Okaa-san

♦ Most promotions in ranks will require five roleplays to prove activity. Most new members of the pride will start as Citizens (if pureblood) or Slave/Grunts for hybrids/other species children you will start as slaves.

♦ See the 'How To Get A Cert' section to read our comments on cert changes when it comes to rising in ranks.

♦ To change your rank, post your upgraded form in the joining/updates thead, linking to your roleplays to show you have met the requirements.

♦ After you've been accepted to hit a higher rank. You can get your upgrade rp by any of the following characters in their specialized field. This can count towards your next upgrade rps so if I were you I'd rp it out! The upgrade rps are basically saying that the higher ranks know your soa has gone up in rank. Icly.
+ Entertainers to Okasan ranks can go to Aiko for their 'upgrading' rp. ( Lorne Sionn )
+ Grunts to Currency fighter ranks can go to Bugie for their 'upgrading rp'. ( Chi Sohma )
+ Everyone else and pretty much any upgrade rank can go to Nanashi and Nyoka. { Velveteen angel & Chi Sohma }, Mananakbo ( Princess_Feylin ), and Hosoku ( Day Dreamer 427 )

♦ Another way of upgrading your rank is by completing missions in the [ Missions forum]
- To completely up grade to the next rank depending on your characters job, you will need a total of: 15 points ( May change depending on mission activity )

♦ Demotions (falling from Geisha to Citizen for example) requires no roleplays.

Activity Ranks and demotion
♦ For the most part, all higher ranks and royal ranks are restricted. These are activity based ranks and should only be taken up if your sure of your loyalty to the pride. If you for some reason have IRL issues come up. PLEASE let us know so we don't demote your character in your absence but we will only do this if you have not replied to any of our pms. WE WILL notify you if your in danger of demotion.

Leaving the pride, Middle + Low class restrictions and Rogue Breeding
♦ If your character is in middle class and below. They DO NOT leave the pride. The only exceptions to this rule are:

+ If your character is going on a mission. See [ Here ] for details. They must be assisted in the mission with an existing high ranking member of the pride. No solo missions. Only assisted.
+ Pack mules and thats only if a merchant is present in the the roleplay.
( Yes. Merchants will have be mentioned or present/around to roleplay in the roguelands ).
+ You may also rp in the roguelands IF your character has been selected/plotted to be traded/sold to another pride or individual.

The pride is in a crater. There is only one way in that everyone knows about and there are guards there so please don't rp your pride members scavenging through the roguelands without being noticed.

♦ This also goes for rogue breedings. If your in middle and below. There IS NO ROGUE BREEDING/MxMs. Exceptions may apply IF you can speak to either velveteen angel or chi sohma about it and have reasoning/plot behind it. If not, please do not apply your soa to rogue breed. This can cause your character to be either demoted/forced to be in slave rank.

High Class & Royal restriction + Rogue Breeding
♦ These classes can go in and out of the pride freely but they must return back to the pride. This also means that your character WILL BE SEEN heading in or out since there is only one entrance and exit. If your character does not return back within a few days.. a high grunt or currency fighter will be assigned to bringing your character back.
( This is mainly for plot options <3 )
♦ Not all high class or royals can accept members. Only select few aka the owners of the pride's characters are the ONLY ones that can give someone a joining rp unless otherwise specified and we notify you have gained are trust enough to accept members.
♦ As for breeding restrictions... You have none XD; Your free to rogue breed!

. :: . Location And Pride Land Descriptions . :: .

When you think of the pride terrain. Think about the movie 'Dinosaur'.

♦ [ Images of references ], [ Images of references ] - For the rogue wasteland leading to the pride.

Around the outskirts of the pride is very hard rocky and muddy sorta terrain, game does not near it often and food is rather scarce. But beyond this is the mountain terrain. Think lots of golden yellows. orange dirt and burnt yellows. The occasional trees and rocky hills and tunnels. After traveling through the mountain terrain. After a long journey there is the crater in the middle of this mountain terrain. Inside the mountains...

♦ There is a ring of lush vegetation.
♦ Then after that lush ring is the crater.

♦ The crater has trees speckled inside but for the most part there is a spring in the middle. The overall ground is darker in color and slightly hard yet can be softer than the outside wastelands where the dirt is oranges and yellows. With speckled grass patches every now and again. Around the spring is where you'd see the most grass.

The crater's walls have many many 'holes' in them. These are where dens are. The fighters, currency fighters share the bottom rows. The middle- basically heading upwards are the citizen, middle and low class dens. This is to prevent slaves to just walk out. Someone WILL hear you coming down in front of their dens.

♦ The highest point dens are the royals and high class. For the reason being that they can oversee everything.
♦ Some lower level dens have direct access to go below ground. Waiting there is a massive spring. Surrounded by the many years of erosion. The water is clear, perfect for drinking. There are 'pools' if you will, and some may be for bathing while others are just there to swim in. This is a vital part to the pride.

For the most part, the pride is self sustained and protected. There is only one way in and out of the pride for the walls have grown very very well in height.

♦ If you are cub, rogue or a middle/lower class member and you decided to leave the pride. You are likely to die of starvation, or dehydration since your member/rogue/cub would likely not no the way out. Wandering too far and trying to return can also be a harsh task. This is why only high ranks know the ways in and outs to get in and out of the pride quicker without fatality. If you make it out.. your soa would likely be hanging by a hair to live.

The Bosses

..... ♦ What your SoA Should know ICCly: She is the Boss of the Bosses. She is the silent but deadly force behind Nanashi, she often works in the shadows and is the true owner and leader of the pride. Being the one who found the lands in the first place. It is often talked about that Nyoka made this pride in a polar image of the pride she grew up in and has strict ruling because of the fall of her old pride.
- Enzi was the first cub that entered the pride, while Mana was the first male to know about the pride's whereabouts.
- Nanashi was the third to know about the whereabouts and the first to learn Nyoka's ways beyond that of Mana and Enzi. He also had a family that would boost her pride member count. On top of that, he seemed to look like a better 'face figure' than Mana. So she chose him to be the mafia's 'face' leader while she was the true leader.
- Enzi was later found to be a hybrid from a lion, so Nyoka banned him in to slavery until she felt he was done being a lion. Enough to put him in a grunt status for his loyalty.
- Her first litter, was sired by Dysi. ( Velveteen 's leopard. ). This is the rumor.
- Dysi was then deemed her 'lover' at that moment.
- He left right after.
The boss lady had been believed to have been pregnant before hand, and before knowing Nanashi to the litter was nulled and segregated form the rest. Deeming them unable to produce children of their own therefore forfeiting their rights to royal linage. This has now been hushed and no one should further talk about the illegible litter.
There were some allegations that Nyoka had a thing with Mana but they were quieted because it was untrue and Mana is now her 'right hand'.
Now both Bosses are united and were blessed with a litter of their own but Nyoka had fell sick after birthing the pure bred cheetah cubs. There after, she made an even more strict on coming and goings of the pride. Specific grants have to be received in order to leave. Only those within the higher ranks are allowed to leave.
..... ♦ What your SoA should NOT know: Before the cubs were born, you character should have not known that Dysi and Nyoka had any sort of relationship since they really didn't show it in public. But basically she loved Dysi overall but knew that for the better she should let him go so she tried to replicate the family she could have had with him by sleeping and living with a leopard that looked just like him. ( Linje )
- Then had his cubs thinking they were Dysi's since she was sleeping with both of them but rarely did she sleep with Linje so she thought the babies were Dysi's. She ran away from Linje before her stomach grew since she no longer needed him because she was making a pride. Only to have Linje steal a cub when she was giving birth and too weak to fight him. When they were just newly born, Dysi had to act as though he fathered the cubs to avoid any more speculations and scandals. He stayed in the den sometimes before and after the birth to be responsible for what 'he' did. He left shortly after the cubs were able to walk.
- The cubs were later found to not be able to produce cubs and the fact that they weren't Dysi's made her despise them enough to send them on missions when they were old enough, so that they would never come back. Basically sending them to their doom. This information is all something your character may not know of because iccly it was never said, just done under the shadows.
- Nyoka also has two half sisters. Hetal, the head of the hogwarts inspired pride, Legio. The other is Miu, she out in the roguelands and will be joining the 'Nera shortly.

.:// Makini’Adhima Lands , is based loosely around the idea of the French Victorian era. These elegant cheetahs are prestige and truly an honor to become one. Janja'Nyoka and Nanashi both established an alliance with them by honoring them with the first Outer-Pridal arranged marriage that grew about with the idea of mixing royal bloodlines. Along with not only being able to marry the french, they also welcome merchants with their own trade route and a place place to stay.
Most important points of the pride are:

+ Available Outer-Pridal Marriage Lists ( Ability to breed with 'Nera Members )
+ Trade Route
+ Safe Haven for Merchants

:// Mazunguko Lands , is a based on a strict brotherhood pride. Along Bugie's travels happened upon the brootherhood and came to Bosses with the find of a trade route. Though the Bosses don't quite understand this new lifestyle they see how valuable a trade route with them is.Their alliance is strictly business.
