Triboulet's wanderings have taken him farther away from his family than he has ever gone before -- his small blue-eyed minx companion frequently insisted that they ought to turn around and go home before they traveled much father and became lost, but the stallion ignored him. He knew exactly where he was. Kind of. He knew how to get back, anyway, and isn't that all that mattered? Being lost didn't count if you knew how to get back to where you were, even if he didn't know where he was now. The bright sun was warm on his back, and after having traveled for much of the day he had decided to rest under the cool shade offered by a large tree nearby, unaware that he was trespassing on claimed territory. He tossed his head, trying to get his hair out of his eyes but to no avail, soft multi-colored locks falling right back down over one side of his face.
"We should've turned back a while ago," Carreau muttered, swiftly darting between Triboulet's hooves to claim the most comfortable spot under the tree before his larger companion could. He pawed at the grass below him, then stretched with a wide yawn before he settled down, eyes half-closed so that only a sliver of his bright blue eyes were visible.
The unicorn rolled his eyes. "Relax," Triboulet sighed, bending his head down to the area of grass shaded by the tree, his tail flicking lazily behind him as he began to graze. "We'll go home soon. Let's just rest a while first, yeah?" he suggested around a mouthful of grass.

For the duration of the day, Aviania had found herself moving from one part of the Flock to another whenever someone needed her assistance, her sisters keeping her on her claws with no time for her to rest. First, she had to mediate and connect to the spirit world early in the morning, then she had to oversee the construction of the nests, then she had to make sure that their food storage would be enough to last them through the upcoming autumn and winter, then she had to make sure that there were guards patrolling the borders of the Flock... Now, she was on her way to meet her Commanders to speak to them about the many dangers the spirits had warned her about during her morning mediation.
Of course, that was all in a day's work for the Queen of The Flock.
She glanced at a nearby tree, smiling to herself before pushing herself off the ground using her powerful hind legs. She landed gently on the branch of the tree, her claws digging slightly into the branch to help her get a better grip. As she took a breather from the activities that awaited her attention, Aviania spotted a movement out of the corner of her eye - a bright blue blur that had darted behind a tree. She narrowed her eyes, waiting for the figure to move into her line of sight. When it did, her eyes widened and a small smile tugged at her lips - the brightly colored coat belonged to a stallion.
Leaping to the next tree, she landed softly, the only sound she produced was the gentle rustling of the tree leaves as her body came into contact with them. She repeated the process until she was above the stallion, standing on the tree he and his... Pet? Were resting under. Her smile widened when she saw that he was a young, handsome male - capturing him would certainly benefit The Flock! However, she stayed silent, eying the sharp horn on his forehead; that would have to be the first thing to go if he does attempt to fight back.
"My, my, darling," She spoke, her voice was rather lovely, a little high pitched and sounding like it belonged to singing bird. However, her tone of voice was not a friendly one - it was rather dark, like a subtle threat, "Its not safe to be out here all alone!"

It was Carreau who noticed the harpy first; as soon as the mare spoke, the minx's gaze darted up to see the creature in the tree, and he quickly fled from the comfort of the shade back out into the sun, putting distance between himself and the unknown creature.
Triboulet, unfortunately, was not quite as smart. The beautiful voice seemed to come from an unknown source, and he turned circles around himself in order to find the source -- it was only when he saw his companion run away from the tree that he looked up to see what had the minx so spooked. He was struck by both her beauty and the deadly claws that came with it, and it froze him to the spot, unsure of what this... mare... was, and if he should be afraid of her.
The claws told him yes. Her face told him no. Her voice sent an uneasy chill down his spine, and it was enough to make him think twice and take a step backwards. Never in his life had Triboulet heard of such a creature; were the feathers adorning her head decoration? He knew the stories of skinwalkers, that their feet were deadly, clawed weapons, but he also knew they wore the pelts of animals and, from where he stood, it didn't seem like she was one of them. He also never heard that they attacked from the trees.
But he'd never met a real skinwalker, either.
He glanced back at Carreau, wondering if they should make a run for it, before looking up at the mare in the tree. "Uh," he began, intelligence failing him in having been caught so off guard. "Yes, I suppose it isn't... someone could be hiding in the trees to sneak up behind me, after all," he replied nervously, attempting a joke and flashing the most charming smile he could manage, given the situation. "I'm not really alone, though. Carreau is with me... and my family knows where I am," he lied. His parents knew he was gone, yes, but they had no idea where he'd gone off to. "But you're travelling alone, aren't you?" He asked... and hoped.

How intriguing... The Harpy raised an eye brow at the stallion's pet as it darted away from the tree - away from her. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was a small animal that resembled a fox and... It was tamed by the male? The Flock had always thought of small animals as food rather than as pets, but who knows? Judging from how it had noticed her long before its owner did, perhaps using them as pets might be useful.
"Good attempt at humor, although its not the best," She chuckled, leaping down from the tree and landing in front of the stallion, her back facing him. After a quick glance at the black fox, Aviania turned her body in order to face the stallion, "However, I'm in a good mood today so you pass... Oh? Carreau? Is that the name of this black fox? Interesting... It seems like you had tamed it."
She paused, her smile widening slightly as she continued, leaning towards the male with her talons dangerously close to his body, "Mm, perhaps you should play hide and seek with your family for a while then... I insist you come with me; bring your pet too. To answer your question, no... I am far from alone. In fact, I'm sure my darling sisters will be more than pleased to see you!"
