Full name: Suzuki, Hisoka Nickname: Naibun Reason for Nickname: Used by others who don't know her too well may use if seeing her at the temples; means "secret" or "private," depending. And it fits her well.
Age: Go ahead, ask her again. She might actually tell you. Not. Eye Color: Black Eye Shape: Almond, long dark lashes Glasses or contacts?: N/A Hair color: Glossy black, with no hints of any color (ie, not blue-black or black w/ blue tint). Hair length and style: Stick strait and falls to her waist; no bangs. Usually worn down or in a ponytail, or pulled back and looped up several times and tied off (see illustration in art.) Face shape: Oval shaped with a slightly thin, somewhat prominent nose. Upper lip is slightly thinner than the fuller bottom lip; small mouth. Skin tone: Traditional eastern oriental skin tone; traditional Japanese descent Distinguishing features: It's a little hard to tell just where her iris ends and her pupil begins - some say she doesn't have any, but she's not about to say, either way. Also, a black, stylized tattoo on her left shoulder of a crane curving around a symbol for holy protection. Build (cause mint needs to put this somewhere and not blather here and there): Small and thin with undertoned muscles that have begun to develope just recently despite her days at the academy. Small, almost compact curves that mostly disappear under her uniform. Also small boned, much to her chagrin.
Health Condition: Due to the stress and potential reiki drain required of her job and personal life (such as her eating very little), she doesn't get sick so much as worn down, so any illness is probably due to stress, hunger or exhaustion. She will put off taking care of herself (or as she sees it, admitting weakness/asking for help) for as long as possible - i.e., until she drops like a rock - and will absolutely deny that anything's wrong, no matter if you're right and she knows it. Because you're obviously wrong or, more politely, reading too much into her simply being a little tired. So there. Overall Constitution: She tries to keep up with balancing her physical and mental strengths, but finds this is easier said than done, especially when her duties require more spiritual prowess. Summarily, okay but not the greatest.
Home District: Current Residence: (list District and Level) Soulborn or not?: No (If Soulborn) Social Status & family: N/A Occupation: Shrine maiden. She actually graduated from the Academy with promising marks, but found her calling somewhere else. Faction: Neutral, possibly leaning towards the Divine Army. Ultimately up to what her personal alliances influence.
Talents/Skills: Purification, creating protection charms/scrolls, some musical talents usually involving small instruments. Sharp mind and rumored to be a good singer, though she almost never does in front of others, and especially not a group - it's too personal. Knows a couple different languages, though she's still learning to read/write them. Relationship skills: Surprisingly good, despite her tendency to keep people at arm's length. Quiet and mostly reserved, she knows what people want her to say and has no problem filling in the role of "sidekick" on first meeting in most cases. Never reveals anything about herself unless she has to, so everything's a little one-sided.
Habits: Cleaning her nails or playing with her hair, both while thinking or bored and utterly unaware of the fact she does so. Humming softly to herself or singing super quietly if she thinks she's alone, raising a brow if she thinks something's a bit off or is somewhat amused, being reserved towards others.
Hobbies: Stickfighting (just recently begun), working at the shrine, private musical inclinations, traditional silkscreen painting and poetry.
Virtues: Loyal, prudent, self-sacrificing, slow to anger, quick to forgive Flaws: Selfless to the point of self destruction, bottles up all emotions, doesn't trust others past requirement, occasionally petty and vindictive when angered, proud
Overall Personality: Quiet and reserved, Suzuki is one of those people that unless you know is there, you could almost pass over her all together. She is prone to observing and learning what she can, and when she does speak, it shows her wit and tends to surprise people that someone's been there at all. Though almost always polite, it's hard to get a reading on her otherwise, because she almost always keeps people at arm's length, trusting them no farther than she can throw them. Seeing as how she probably couldn't pick them up to begin with, that should tell you something.
After she gets used to whatever company she's in, Suzuki will open up a little more and reveal that there is someone worth getting to know under the silent veneer. Those who have gotten close to her can witness to a good heart and a desire to not only improve herself, but to help others, as well. She dislikes the idea of anyone suffering, and has a weak spot for children. Though she occasionally gets irritated (usually by her own inefficiency), she rarely gets angry, but when it happens, it...gets ugly. She never talks about it and will warn someone if things start to get out of hand, but after that, the ball's in their court. Suzuki can't stand negative feelings, especially her own, and has on more than one occasion said that it leaves her feeling "tainted." ((Note: as of yet, mint is leaving this as just Suzuki's dislike of negative feelings and realizing she has a very nasty temper buried deep. Meta or chara plots may dictate otherwise.))
As of yet, she has not found a confidante of her own, and highly doubts such a person can exist.
Personality key question: How would your character spend a rainy day?: It would probably start like every other day; dressing and preparing for work, spending about half the day at the temple, even if it's a slow day. Mentally compose poetry. Go home, make sure everything's orderly, break her fast, change and go out for a walk in the rain, relishing the feel of the energy covering her and finding the rain relaxing and refreshing in all ways. Go home, then either read a good book, paint or compose the poetry she worked on earlier.
How do they dress?: When at the shrine, she wears a tradition red hakama, though slightly darker than the usual bright crimson, with a white kimono.
On her own, she usually wears practical yet sleek clothing that still allows for easy movement, usually mixing faded, light colors and deep jeweltones; a dark print on a light top, for example. Usually passes in loose pants and a long-sleeved top with comfortable footwear.
Favorite Sayings: "I...see.", "May your prayers be heard and the spirits merciful.", "..." (Silence while raising a brow), "Please step back.", "Most unbecoming.", "Please forgive my intrusion, but...", "There's a message on the wind.", "Don't worry about it - that's what I'm here for."
Vernacular: Polite and eloquent, occasionally spicing it up with a bit of mysterious allusion if she's in the mood to be playful. When angered or upset/displease/in pain, she doesn't really talk, but grow extremely quiet and, if she absolutely must respond, in various grunts or body language
Overall Style (Elegant, shabby etc.): Traditional for the most part, especially work, otherwise casual yet sleek. Figure flattering and somewhat suggestive for anything she deems dressy or special.

Abilities: Should Suzuki be provoked into a fight, the majority of her abilities would fall between defensive and support/aid, but not healing. Most notable is her ability to purify/cleanse people/things which are cursed, not to mention the way she does it. Otherwise she is likely to do her best to defend others while letting those with the strength and power take the offense, though if she has no other option or becomes cornered, she will switch tactics. She tends to adapt to other's fighting style than stick to one of her own.
Signature Technique: Shinsei Kokyuu - Shinsei meaning "pure" and Kokyuu meaning "breath"
Part of the reason Suzuki was initiated as a shrine maiden is that she already had a purifying ability. For weaker curses, etc, she lets her own reiki settle over the person/object, saturating it with a blessed aura until it is either contained or lifted/removed, invoking a blessing as she does so. In some cases, the curse can be dissolved, but it must be weaker than her own level or have a trademark she recognizes.
As the ability grows stronger and/or she finds a curse stronger than her power, she has a couple of options. She starts by containing or binding the curse to prevent it from becoming worse by the same tactic as a simpler cleansing (see above), then will either seek out another priestess (or however many necessary) to help her remove the curse. This isn't her favorite option, as she really doesn't see the need to admitting to needing help, so she tends to go about the second way, instead.
In this case, she must be touching the cursed target, again letting her own reiki spread and murmuring another blessing, though this one is directed more towards herself and left purposely vague so that the target feels that it is for them, instead. Eyes closed, she concentrates and inhales, essentially drawing in her reiki like a net - and the curse is bound inside that net. It has a very draining effect, especially if it's strong, and can backlash on her in various ways depending on the curse and its strength, leaving a fragment of its intention inside her until she can be purified, herself. When it comes to stronger curses, it is not something she likes doing (would you like being knocked out with no idea what's going on or if you succeeding until after you wake up, and usually alone, at that?), but she will not hesitate to do so if she believes it is the best way to get things done. For simpler curses and problems, however, it's much easier and usually doesn't leave a drastic mark, though if enough build up, it can cause the same problem.
Long story short, she'd prefer to do it herself, consequences be damned.

Reigen name: Reimeimou - approximately translated as "Spirit Delusion". Rei meaning "spirit" and Meimou meaning "delusion". Container: Sacred ink: the scroll talisman on her staff, as well as the ink of her tattoo
Reigen false-form: The kanji painted on her staff's talisman glows a deep, fiery orange, like burning embers. Release: "Reimeimou, unleash the shadows of the enemy's mind." Reigen false-form ability: She draws off of the Reiki produced by the air as well as her targets, manipulating their perception. The air around them is required for the initial attempt and projection, and the other's for manifestation and what they actually are seeing. The air around the target will hold convincing images of the target's worst nightmare and/or greatest fear, turning into a potential for offense, defense, or simply distraction. A distracted opponent, after all, is a lot less likely to be targeting you if their worst nightmare is suddenly chasing them down. It can last for only a short while, but it is usually long enough.
Those with a stronger spirit and control over their fears, however, can wave the illusions aside, or they will be considerably weaker. A captain, for instance, might at most see a flickering shadow out of the corner of their eye.
Reigen true name: Meimou no Jajjimento - Meimou meaning "Delusion" and Jajjimento meaning "Judgement" Reigen true-form: The once glowing symbols on the talisman are now burning strongly enough to produce small flames in the shape of the kanji, and her tatto begins to glow, as well. For stronger bursts, it will actually burn through her clothing. You can tell she's nearing the end of her ability when the burning dies down to a dim glow. Release: "Meimou no Jajjimento, the time is now. Unleash your judgment upon us." Reigen true-form ability: The first part is very much like the false-form, but strong enough that the nightmares will leave physical damage and can encase a larger group. Captains at this stage are vulnerable as everyone else.
It does, however, have a very back-handed buff effect for Suzuki's allies. It does not heal them, but will give them a burst of energy and strength to go off of. It will disappear, however, and when that happens, if the person is already drained and continues to push too far, it can have dire consequences, so she's not fond of using it. (Face it, she really doesn't want the responsibility for knowing she put them in the medic's care for a week or so.)

~Even though she is a shrine maiden, Suzuki actually graduated from the academy and is a full-fledged Shugenja. Though she could have gone on to be a member of the Soul Army, she found her calling and interests a bit unorthadox and chose not to apply. She has never once regretted the decision, though some of her classmates occasionally harass her and continually try to get her to change her mind. After all, why go through all the training and just shove it aside?
~Though she was not the top-ranked member of her peers, she was easily at least in the top quarter for several classes. She had also taken it upon herself to learn some of the ways of a traditional warrior, as well.
~Recently, Hisoka has taken up "stickfighting" as a way to help keep in shape and to ensure her reflexes will be sharp. She does not talk about why she has decided to do this, as it's nobody's business, but she does find it sad that there's no one to help her train. Most of her training is, therefore, self-taught and leans towards the defensive techniques.
