The young vixen trotted gracefully along the tall grasses of the meadow, followed dilegently by a pack of butterflies that hovered like a storm cloud around her. Their vast aray of different colours and specie caused to create almost a look as though an artist had splattered his paints across a small figure of a canvas. As the female was indeed as pale as it gets, she stood out like a sore thumb; expecially with the plethera of living flower petals that kept around her every moment of the day.

Tail propped in a proper fashion, so as not to drag along the ground, she slipped into the outskirts of the Silent Forest. Her usual destination of the flowerbeds was not her intent at the moment, but yet another place... a secret place she called her own. A light smile on her face, Lavius weaved around the vegetation on the outside of the forest, taking the time to note the aided help from her brother that loomed about the weaker plants. Infact, she was a bit suprised he was not around, as he usually kept close to her; expecially as of late. Of course it would have to be because of how she had acted towards her dear childhood friend Quince. It wasn't meant to have excelled so much, but she wasn't ableto see what was so wrong at that point in time. Looking back on it, she now realized how foolish and inappropriate she had been.
Picking up on her sudden sorrow, the butterflies zipped around her in a beautiful display, creating a rainbow funnel around her form. Pausing a moment to watch, the little femme smiled softly, laying her ears back in a lax nature. The gentle giggles and voices of the butterflies always soothed her troubled mind. As the performance grew to an end, her most loyal companion, Kite, the blue butterfly took roost upon the center of the foxes snout.
"Such a good little insect you are, Kite.." she cooed, resuming her trek deeper into the forest.

As a newly trained ninja of late, Bryyo often spent his time wandering the forest near the shop and even more of his time practicing his flute, which he carved himself. He hadn't seen his mother, father, or sister for quite some time, but he was oddly appeased by this as he was one to enjoy his space and be independent, even though his childhood years made him seem a bit of a mamma's boy, but he didn't mind too much now. Every few days he would venture to visit his mother, and if he was around his father, but avoided his sister with great care. She was such a bad influence to his nonexistent love life

On this particular day, he was near the the edge of the forest where the cliffs began and soon soared into miraculous mountain ranges. He sat on a rock inspecting his musical instrument as his little side-kick Reach inspected it's violin. They were trying to hold a bit of a jam session to ease the spirits of the forest as the often liked doing. "Alright, Reach. Are you ready?" he spoke as he looked down to see the Kirin also ready. He tapped his foot to a 3/4 time beat. "One...two...three" he instructed as he licked his lips and began a few slow and melodic notes on the woodwind instrament. The notes were soon accompanied by the harmonic notes of Reach's violin, and soon the two were playing a slow and almost solemn song

So far, the only melody and music she could hear were the song birds sending word along the canopy above her. Normally, they would try to snatch up a few of the little insects that formed a shell around the vixen, but with Lavi's presence, the butterflies were free to fly safely.

Pressing further into the forest, her ears wavered to take in all the sights and sounds of the growing life around her. Taking in a deep breath, her lungs filled with the soft aroma of past rainfall. Her brother would probably be in a slight better mood due to this. The vine along her paw gave the most subtle of hints of a gloss along them, almost a glow. Her spirits were indeed light and free from her recent worries.
But the closer she became to her beloved place of sanctity, a sound... unknown to her ears, suddenly began to whisper. This in turn made her slow her advance, and swivel her ears forward. What on Earth was that? It had a sort of airy life about it, followed by something that could easily resemble the sound of wood tipping off of a tree trunk. Or the creek of old branches departing the body they had grown on. The butterflies reacted the same way, mirroring the vixens suprise. Was it safe to continue towards? It sounded rather.. entrancing, in fact, and made her want to continue. Ears pressing back with a sense of caution, the small female continued towards the beconing call of what ever was singing in such a gay waltzing manner.

He ended the song on a sustained high note and licked his lips again. He looked over at Reach who had put his instrument down and was also gazing back. "Ok..well what now?" he asked fiddling with his headband a bit. The little kirin shrugged and the two had a moment of trying read each others minds and figure out what they should try next. By some mystical connection, the 2 both nodded and picked up their musical devices once more. Picking a 4/4 time, the two started to play a more whimsical and upbeat song that soon transitioned into a popular song known as "Shake your groove thing"

A little bird traveled to a tree not too far from the party of one fox and cluster of insects. It sung of what was ahead of the little group, causing the vixen to p***k her ears straight up and cup forward. They twirked slightly at the sound of a note resting in the higher registers. Was it perhaps a bird? Or forest life? But it certainly wasn't like any she'd heard before... And she felt rather comfortable saying that she knew all the sounds that were produced here. Picking her pace up, the vixen lept and ducked under the punked shrubs. Eventually deepening into the forest father enough to where's the music grew louder and clear, she was soon able to pick up the texture of the sounds, and the starts and stops. The flat and sharps of the intervals an octaves. Peeking around a tree trunk, she spied what had caused it all.
Some sort of... metal clad fox... and one of the many creatures that accompanied them. Blinking, olive eyes watched with fastination, quite unsure what to make of such a scene. What were those things that they held? Those were obviously the tools that helped channel the sounds that now filled the usual calm woods. It was quite apparent that he was of the modern world, for the sort of skins he wore were not of the earths baring; or at least from what she could see. The butterflies peeked around as well, forming a small auroa around the small bit of the foxes body that extended from around the vegetation. What a curious male...

His notes were bouncy and catchy, but suddenly he stopped in the music making and put his flute by his side. His well trained eyes spotted the fox from afar and he smirked a bit. "Reach it would seem we have company" he mused loudly, making sure that the fox from a far could hear him. He jumped down and tucked the flute away in a pack nearby and leaned in front of the rock, waiting for whoever was lurking to make an apperance

"What do you think that strange object could be, Kite?" the vixen whispered to her trusty blue butterfly. As if to take a gander for himself at the instrument, he hovered over a bit further than the other insects.
But as the music ceased, Lavi's ears pricked some, making her look to the male's face to judge if he had indeed spotted her curious display. At the sound of the voice, she knew this to be true. Well, no use watching from the safety of the shrubbery now. Stepping out lightly, and with her usual grace, she presented herself to him, and performed a low curtsie; tangled wings flaring out to complete the action. The butterflies immitated the move as well, lowering and raising with the fox.
"Pardon me, sir. I was simply intrigued by the sounds that you were producing. I did not mean to interrupt." she spoke softly.

Seeing the lovely white fox step from the bushes, he tried to keep from his mouth dropping. She had his undivided attention now

"Intrude? Nonesne" he grinned as he propped himself back up and walked to her with welcoming arms. Reach rolled his eyes from afar.

"The music of this flute have been known to soothe many spirits, but I didn't know it would attract a gorgeous vixen such as yourself" he smirked as he put one arm around her harmlessly and pulled the flute out for her to observe, knowing she'd probably be curious

{*cough* skinflute *cough*}

Eyes watching how the metal seemed to move with the other foxes body, caused her head to give the slightest hint of a tilt. Was it perhaps fused with his being? Smiling politely, the little native let her snared wings fold neatly along her back again. At least she hadn't bothered him, it seemed. The butterflies flittered to make room for his presence, forming around him and inspecting male curiously.
At the rather forward approach, for her at least, the vixen's long ears perked up along with a soft tint of colour along her pale complexion. The contact was also something she was not quite used to. But, to be respectful, she allowed it. "O-oh... I was just... curious... as to what that unique sound was.. " she tried to process her words properly, but the close interaction caused for a bit of discomfort. Father would definently not approve of this.
Letting her face turn a touch, so as to try and hide the colouration to her cheeks, she peeked back to observe the instrument that was produced once again. How had the sound been created by such a simple looking item? It couldn't have been too far off from being a sort of reed she saw by the riversides. Curiosity getting the best of her, she turned her head back towards the instrument so as to lightly sniff in it's direction. The insects immitated her demenour, a few flitting around the mouthpiece and ends of the metal stick. Perhaps this male possessed a few of the modern worlds magic.

He held the flute in an open paw, and noticed her slight discomfort towards his actions, but he didn't pull back at all.

He pointed to the obvious mouth piece. "This is where you blow into the flute. the air is then concentrated out the other end. Since the flute is made just so, when the wind passes through the hole, it makes a note." he explained. He took his arm away from her and assumed the proper hand position to play a flute. Pursing his lips a bit, he brought the instrument to his lips at just the right angle, and blew down into the little hole, making the flute to produce a solid silky note.

"You try" he said as he took the woodwind away and offered it to her. "It's tricky to get the air through to make the note, but all it takes is a little experimenting"

Eyes warily glancing at his hooked arm, expecially interested in the metal that covered it, the vixen gave a flick with the tip of her tail periodically in an anxious manner. Had Mother Nature plastered such a shell like skin onto him? Or had he been cursed for doing some sort of bad deed? As if to read her mind, Kite flitted onto the males arm, his wings opening and closing at a steady pace. A curled tongue unfurled to taste at the armour, taking in the substance and density of such an exterior.

Remaing polite, as she was raised, Lavi kept a slight smile on her face as he explained the function of the intricate instrument. Relief even came to her as the arm was removed and given attention to the reed-less woodwind. As that recent voice was conjured again, her ears pricked straight up and wavered to the sides, along with the typical canine head tilt to any alien noise. It certainly was a lovely sound. Unlike anything she'd heard before. Aside from the whine of the wind rushing through the crevasses of tree branches and foliage.
Her winged friends reacted as well, spiraling around her to match the texture of the sound produced. Glancing at the display, she smiled further, the vine along her paw coiling another time along her delicate wrist, "It is the instrument of Pan, I see. As the stories have told." Once the demonstration had been concluded, Lavi was quite intent on placing a compliment, when the male offered her a go at it. Rather suprised, she blinked, looking to him and then to the flute. Smiling, she shook her head, "I do not think I shall be able to create as lovely a sound as you, but I shall attempt to make something as suitable." settling carefully onto her haunches, the femme held her paws out cautiously, as if to receive a bushel of delicate fish eggs. Once in her grasp, the vixen paused to stare at the stick for a good while. Fingers running gently along the openings, she inspected every part throughly. The butterflies did as well, crawling along her arm to step lightly along the hand-made trinket. Such interesting things the modern side had come up with. She herself could not even fathom the idea of such an item.

As she began to immitate the paw placement upon the instrument as the male had, she found that it felt quite uncomfortable and awkward. But eventually, she managed to get a paw around the back and on down towards the lower end of the flute. Gingerly, she moved the mouthpiece to rest under her bottom lip; the sensative area adjusting to the smooth and cold press. Puckering her lips as she had seen the other do, she took a little sip of air, and blew across the opening.
All that sounded was a rush of air as it passed through the instrument, not even close to the sound that had been made earlier by the stranger. Blinking, watching as the butterflies returned back to land upon the hollow stick again, having been ruffled by the escaping pockets around the buttons, they too seemed a bit confused as to why a different tone was made. Perhaps she'd done something wrong? Rolling the rod a little, and curling her bottom lip a touch, she tried again, this time creating a sharp concert C. Ears flipping up, her already neat posture perked as well at her feat. Hovering above the instrument now, the insects mimicked her suprise as well, "Oh my..! What an extrodinary sensation." the vixen exclaimed quite excitedly. Her bottom lip had a slight tingling feel to it, from the hot air passing so quickly against the once cold surface against her skin. How had one been able to come up with an idea for such an outlandish item? It was quite the spectacle.

He nodded in approval as she managed to get a crisp note to flow freely from the instrument, but all the while he watched the butterfly, in complete wonderment of how the little insect was still around. He didn't try to hid his confusion at all as he watched all of the multi colored butterflies flit to and fro

A rather child-like glimmer in her eyes, Lavi looked up to the Spartan, "How were you able to come across such an interesting device? Is it a rarity to find?" eyes lowering back down to look at the flute in her paws, the butterflies returned to hovering above her like a rain cloud, as if to peer over her shoulder at the instrument. "It is certainly quite a treasure to own." the beginings of a giggle peeped, but silenced immedeatly as her train of thought continued, "I surely would not be able to get anything done with such a reed at my disposal."

He crossed his arms and looked perplexed. "Are you telling me you've never heard of a Flute?" he inquired with a hint of shock lingering in his voice. "They are so common. That one is made by myself, but if you ever find a good music store, then they sell them..not for cheap though" he snirked a little. He was lucky he got anything done with that thing, but not knowing much about the fox before him, he wasn't going to judge on her schedule

Giving a small shake of her head, she smiled lightly, "I'm afraid I am ignorant to most of the modern techonology. Though I have heard stories from those who affiliate with it." Ears wavering, she inspected the instrument again, "You were able to craft this?" eyes seeming to widen in suprise and amazement, she beamed, "That is quite spectacular, I must say." pausing, letting his words sink in, the vixen prepared her words, "It must take a majority amount of ones time to create such a delicate vessel."

But it was in that instant that she realized that her manners had been lacking; something that had been happening far too often than she'd like. A somewhat embarressed look came across her face as such, making her smile nervously, "I forget my place, sir." Holding the flute to the tuft of her chest, she performed the best curtsie she could with her paws being occupied, strained wings flaring as much as they could, and head bowing, "I am Lavius Fin." the butterflies mimicked her movement, lowering and raising as she did.
