Dysi frowned to himself as he lounged next to the watering hole he had parked himself at early that morning. It was now passing mid-day but he had yet to move. He seemed to be out of the pride more often than he was in the pride at the moment, and it was frustrating. He loved his family there, but he just craved to get out more often than not now.
He still spent a lot of time with his daughters but he spent almost every second day out walking. He knew Nyoka was getting frustrated but he didn't want to be in the pride at the moment.
He sighed, and sprawled out on the bank, one of his paws lazily tracing the water's surface. And then there were times like this, when he left the pride simply to get silence to think. He really hated the silence.

Tamu had finished feasting on a small rabbit he caught when he stumbled upon the watering hole. It was exactly what he had needed at the moment, mostly because the pastel colored leopon had blood upon his paws and muzzle and feared them staining his coat. Most males would not have this bother them, but Tamu was not one of him. He had been blessed with such a beautiful and luxuriously soft coat by his parents and he was determined not to ruin it.
"Success! Water," Tamu said to himself. Even though he thought at the time he was alone, Tamu's voice was still very soft, even if very deep and masculine.
As he washed off his paws and his muzzle, he took a drink and randomly looked up. To his horror a white spotted leopard had been sitting across the watering hole the entire time listening to him talk to himself and this caused Tamu and jump out of surprise, giving off a cub like shriek.

Dysi had kept silent when the male had stumbled across the watering hole and seemed to be talking to himself. He had stayed quiet and watched him in faint amusement. Well, he had a nice coat at least. Soft colours. He had a heavy mane but did not look like any lion that Dysi had ever seen. How odd.
He startled when the male gave off a cub like shriek and his eyes went wide. Hadn't the male noticed him before? He resisted the urge to snicker at the somewhat girlish, or rather childish, reaction to his presence.
"Hello?" He called out, looking faintly amused. He didn't bring up the noise that the adult male shouldn't have been able to make at his age, but it was obvious he found it amusing.

"H-hello..." Tamu said, his tail swishing back and forth in timid manner. Tamu was not an overly confident leopon, and when push came to shove could be persuaded into almost anything simply because he lacked that 'I can fight!' factor. It didn't mean he was totally useless, just mostly.
Realizing that he probably looked like a sissy to the leopard before him, he held his head a little higher and puffed out his chest abit, "I-I'm Tamu. You are?"
The hot pink eyed, cotton candy looking Leopon sat near the water's edge facing the leopard. He was not fearful of the leopard, mostly because his father was one, but he was concerned about whether or not the leopard across from him would be fearful of him. Tamu had been told by several birds that felines like him were much bigger than even the residential lions and that it could spell trouble, and trouble was not something Tamu liked.

Dysi was pleased when the other male responded, although he could have sworn he heard a stammer in the male's tone. "Tamu?" He repeated, as if he hadn't noticed that the male was larger than he was. "Pleased to meet you," he remarked, careful to keep his tone light.
The male was larger than he was, and seemed tense. Perhaps he was planning an attack? Dysi unconsciously began to tense as well, to prepare himself in case the male had decided to attack the girly leopard. "My name is Dysisni'mbus, but please call me Dysi," he added, almost forgetting to introduce himself.
"Did I interrupt something important?" He asked, perhaps thinking he was intruding on some important meeting or private time.

"Huh? OH! No, no, no," Tamu said shaking his head a moment, his light pink mane swishing from side to side in an overly girly manner. "I was just going to wash my face and paws before they got stained. My mother would be horrified if I ruined the pretty coat her and my father gave me."
Tamu gave Dysi a small smile, before realizing that he probably said the most unmanliest thing there ever was to say and looked away from the leopard before him. He had shown his weakness and there was no going back from it. He shrugged his shoulders, going back to his more limply fluid motions and timid gazes. He was never going to be a proper male leopon.
"Uh..." He said, trailing off.

Dysi didn't seem to notice how unmanly the comment was, instead nodding his head in understanding. “I can understand that,” he remarked. “My coat is so easily stained, especially when it comes to eating. My mouth goes completely pink if I get blood on the fur around it.” He chuckled a little, shifting and smiling pleasantly at the other male. Odd, perhaps, to speak of such matters as fur and keeping it clean to another male, but he had no problem with it.
His stance was a little more relaxed now, as if unconsciously recognizing that this male wouldn't attack him for being girly and so he didn't need to be quite as tense. “If you don't mind my asking, but are you a hybrid?” he asked politely, hoping he wouldn't take offense. It was the mane that was confusing him, though the male before him appeared to look more leopard, then the mane...well, Dysi hadn't spent much time with hybrids to know for sure.
