Mmmm. While gods didn't need to eat, Dath had learned to love eating. Not for when he was hungry, but just having that 'taste of victory'. He loved to eat a kill, even if that kill was another predator. It didn't matter to him; mortals were there for him to play with. He wouldn't accept any other explanation for why they existed.
Thankfully, he wasn't a bloody mess anymore. He was relaxing near a beautiful lake, clearing most of the creatures that were looking for a drink. They were on the other side of the lake, safely (or at least they thought they were) distanced from the god's power. Dath was slowly grooming himself, not vain in wanting to be clean, but just because dirt seemed to enjoy clinging to the blood on his paws, and he didn't like muddly, bloody claws. It ruined the effect.

Shinda was the goddess of conquest, thanks to being the daughter of the god of war. She wasn't the nicest of girl and was bitter, majorly bitter. She was abandoned as a godling along with her siblings and so now she was more then happy to prove herself and to do so she set mini conquests which she was more then happy to conquer.
Today she found herself heading towards the water. She needed to cool off, it had been a hot and sticky few days and she needed the time to cool off and refresh herself before setting herself some other task. The mortals fights were so boring and so hard to conquer when they were just so boring. She wanted something more interesting and maybe she found it?
The large god was laid out beside the water and he made Shinda smile. He wasn't looking like the nicest of gods but then Shinda always found herself around the bad ones. She blamed the family line for that. She didn't however go near him, she just watched him as she walked past towards the water. As she entered the water the coolness swept over her. Much better.

He had been a little self absorbed for the last few moments, and so he didn't realize that he had company until he heard the water shift as someone entered it. Who the hell was getting into the water? He wasn't too pleased at feeling disturbed, though anything would really set him off nowadays. It was a thrill to feel angry.
"A god bathing? Blue, as well? Ugh, water gods," he grumbled aloud, finishing off his claws at that moment, ready for a little "conversation". Which usually turned into a fight of words, or at least grumbling on each other's parts. Sometimes it was fun, and sometimes it wasn't. He had hope, though.

Shinda looked up as he spoke and snorted. She wasn't ever known to be exactly lady like.
"Water gods? I wouldn't know any." She narrowed her eyes a little as she looked at him. If he was assuming that she was a water god he was very much mistaken! She was much better then any god that could control water. She could win wars, much better then that!
"What are you god of then?" God of grumpyness maybe?

"If you're not, then I don't understand why you'd go into the water like that." A little watter was nice, but she was getting wet. Dath had a cat's mentality of water=no. He would drink it if he felt so inclined, but otherwise he avoided it. Even the rain was a personal enemy to him, at least in his mind.
"Chaos," he grumbled, though there was a glitter of pride in his eyes. He loved what he was, if only because it was nearly impossible to reign in, he thought with a smirk.

"Because it is hot and the water is cool." It was simple really, she would happily use the water to cool down, though it wasn't like she did it all the time. Once she felt cooler enough she got out the water and sat down letting the hot sun dry her off. It was an easy process.
"Chaos?" He didn't look much like chaos but then she probably didn't look like Conquest. "Does everyone call you Chaos or does Chaos have a name?" She flicked her tail and smiled, after all if he was Chaos he could cause it right? Which would give her something to conquer. Oh life was nice to you sometimes.

He didn't like her reasoning, but he was a lion that detested water. he held his tongue, thinking that an argument over water was going to be a little much. Still, he would reserve the right to think that she was weird wanting to get soaking wet just to let it dry off.
"Dath," he replied, too lazy to use his full name. And really, it wasn't very necessary, either. "I like to be called Chaos, though I guess you could choose which one you prefer," he sniffed. Either worked, though sometimes he couldn't help but think of that sister of his that liked to ruin his life, when mentioning his full name. Blast the fact that the two of them had similar, if opposite names.

"Dath. Fair enough. I am Shinda, Goddess of conquest." She thought it was worth introducing herself fully though she got the feeling he probably didn't care too much. In fact he seemed reluctant even to have a conversation which of course had caused Shinda to react, not obviously but there was a small conquest to be made. Have a conversation with Chaos or Dath...
"Okay so I will call you Chaos if that is what you like more. I assume that means you cause a lot of chaos?" Okay that was a rubbish question he could give a one word answer to that. She would have to try harder to get him talking more, ooo she could find out why he hated water so!
"Also I assume you don't like water too much? I don't understand what?" She hoped that would get him talking. She found this to be something like a game that she would very much enjoy!

Dath narrowed his eyes for a moment. She seemed a little interested, and in turn that made him interested. Otherwise he might have already left, but he wasn't one known for his manners. Sei could testify to that. He glanced at the water, thinking that it might actually work for him for once.
"Chaos is something that I like to start, but not always be the sole cause for it." He reached over with his wing, tapping one of the feathers in the water. It wasn't quite calm yet, but it would work. The ripples from his touch of the water grew outwards, even if they weren't stronger. "I like to be the cause, but I don't sit and watch all of my work. I start it, and those that I affect finish it for me. I enjoy it more if it lasts for the rest of their life, and those subjects I check in on once in a while," he replied with a wicked grin.
He folded his wing against his side with a sniff. "I don't like water one bit," he said, finishing that part of the conversation at that, or so he hoped.

Okay so the water conversation wasn't going anywhere. Shame.
"What do you do to cause someone chaos for their whole lives?" She was interested there was no doubt about that and not only that it was a topic he seemed happy to talk about. She had him talking and that made her happy. After all there was no harm in finding out all you can about someone and a god of chaos, well you wouldn't meet one every day, might as well learn what you can now.
"I take it then as you cause chaos, chaos doesn't affect you? I have heard of gods where their domain affects them a lot." Not that her's never affected her... nope not in the slightest.

He grinned. "My favourite thing to do is kill. And you don't just pick anyone to kill. It has to be someone important enough to others around them for the desired affect. A leader dead will throw a pride in disarray; a mother, their children will either die themselves or question the intent of the gods in the death of their mother. Breeding this chaos, even if it is mixed with sorrow, anger, and confusion, continues to keep me strong." And Dath liked to be in power, very much.
He flexed his claws into the ground, the smile disappearing. "If you consider insanity a side effect, then yes, it can affect me." Sometimes he enjoyed it, and other times he didn't.

Killing? Shinda knew about killing, she was drawn to it more often then not. It was surprising they had no crossed paths before but then she got the feeling his killings were all conquests that he needed no help for. Maybe that was why.
"Fair enough. Do you only cause chaos by killing?" Because she was sure that there were other ways to do so. After all chaos was caused by other things surely? Shinda wasn't too sure, she generally got involved in chaos when it involved some sort of fight or argument. She would do her bit to conquer and then leave again.

"Oh sure," he agreed. "There's other ways, but I get my kicks with killing." And he was never shy of saying so. He loved to be feared, he just didn't realize how it would come back to bite him in the arse one of these days. "I can't quite make things like earthquakes, but when they create chaos I love to be there and watch it. Maybe stick my paw into some business here and there. It gets boring too quickly, and so I revert to a little blood now and again."
He studied her, as she was quick to pick up on things. Moreso than other goddesses he had run to (his sister never counted, blasted beast). "You conquest whatever you can, don't you?" She seemed like the type. "Kind of like that, I suppose, though you may be more broad than I am in certain areas."

Shinda listened and nodded. She could see his point, arguments were the ones she found the most boring. She would turn up at the odd few but there were so many and over such petty things. No she liked big conquests, where prides wanted to take over other prides. That was more like it... and it involved killing. Maybe they were more alike then she thought originally.
"Yes I see your point. I conquer what I can, some are more boring then others but if there is a challenge of some sort then I will be there. A lot of them involve wars, fights, death... it's all part of the job." And lifestyle. She enjoyed it though, it was what made her life interesting.

Dath grinned, and shifted around to make himself more comfortable. There was something she had said that he snached, and was enjoying it's imagery. War. "I haven't seen a good war in a long time," he rumbled, something like a purr, but mixed in a deep-throated chuckle. "You must call me if you see something, I would deeply appreciate it. Even just to watch from the sidelines, who wouldn't enjoy a good war?"
Probably those in the middle of it, but mortals were dispensable. That was why they were so fragile.
