So my friends over at http://cloudyxiv.org/ are all playing FFXI on new characters while waiting for FFXIV. They convinced me to play again too. So if any of you want to join us, we're on the Gilgamesh server and you can use cloudy's ventrilo (chat program) too.

I saw your other post about this and posted something but I would be willing to join you guys... i tried starting again a few months ago, but couldn't find anyone to play with(and its not fun playing by your self). So i already have an character on gilgamesh.
My name is the same and i think last time i was on i was making a whm, but im willing to change classes to whatever is needed.
Also shouldn't this be in the Other final fantasys form?

Lastel I saw your other post about this and posted something but I would be willing to join you guys... i tried starting again a few months ago, but couldn't find anyone to play with(and its not fun playing by your self). Also shouldn't this be in the Other final fantasys form? super super lucky that you're already on gilgamesh biggrin you can play whatever job you want, and we could use whm ^^ This is FFXIV related! cuz the purpose is for us FFXIVers to get to know each other better and eventually play together in FFXIV! 3nodding I'm quiting FFXI once FFXIV is out xd

lol that makes sense then. I will most likely quit to once its out or before its out depends on the release date. Also that group your apart of seems pretty cool.

The FFXIV Gaia Guild does have plans on making a social linkshell for fellow Gaians and playing on the same server 3nodding

Question *Raises Hand* Sooo I was about to make my toon on the server when it occured to me I need to pick a job >.> And I'm curious and have a couple questions.
One, is it hard finding a Dragoon to help you kill the Dragon to unlock the job? I read only people doing the job or have done it previously can engage the dragon, and that he's tough >.<
What role does a Dancer actually play in a party? I'm seeing Tanking, and then I'm seeing Healing... and then I see Tanking by Healing ?.? FFXI jobs are so much more confusing than WoW's classes were lol.
Now does the linkshell need more support or healing characters, or would a DD work? I like all of it, as long as I'm not a tank :3

Healing and debuffing while doing a little bit of damage too. I am not sure exactly how I will play DNC, most people suggest subbing NIN or SAM, but I'd kinda like to sub THF. I'll see though. If I sub NIN I could probably tank but I would rather just get a real tank. Last time I talked to warstormer, the cloudy leader, he said we could use some more damage dealers and healers. He himself is leveling NIN and someone else is leveling PLD. Honestly though, you should play whatever you will enjoy most, he said that too.

Congrats on finally getting to play. I went ahead and made a elvaan whm in sandoria. The name is still lastel. I forgot that even match means death and decent challenge means even when trying to lv a WHM xp (I died more then a few times)
