It was the fifth time he had tried, the last time she had spotted him and left before he had half a chance to talk to her. She was actively avoiding him, and he knew it. Today he came prepared. She was in her room, and he would get his chance to talk to her, even if it required staking out her room all day. He only hoped it wouldn't, he doubted the bouquet would last as long as his determination. In his hand he held , flowers carefully arranged and hauled all the way from Camphoreon city, quiet a feat considering the desert in between and the fact they were cut when they were bought. Reaching over he knocked on the door and backed up, putting the flowers between himself and the door.

Kofuku was at her desk, flipping through note cards and books, making side notes here and there. Nina was curled up at her feet and both Hiromi and Hercules were resting on her bed. Gizmo and Kamisha were off and up to trouble, no doubt.
Nina's head lifted up even before Panther knocked on the door. "Quiiiiiiil." She growled out, bristling a little as she glared at the door. Kofuku looked up as a knocking sound came, not getting up from her desk of study. "Door's open." She called, then reached down to pet Nina as the Quilava got to her feet, still bristling.

Carefully he let himself in. "Kofuku... Can we talk?" he noticed his hands starting to strangle the stems and tried to relax. Giving a glance at the fire type he closed the door behind him, wanting to keep this privet if he could.

Nina continued to growl, making sure to show her teeth, and even Hercules had lifted his head from the bed to watch with narrowed eyes. Kofuku felt her heart stop when she saw who it was, and instantly was on her feet, standing there looking stupidly at him.
"Panther." She finally addressed him, feeling the knot in her throat starting to reform. However, she placed a hand on her stomach. "Yeah, we can talk, but I need to get something to eat. Between studying and the chaos in the Infirmary, I've been forgetting meals." A viable, truthful excuse to not be stuck in a closed room with him. Grabbing a book and forcing a smile to him, she did her best to try not to notice the flowers in his hands; she still was so confused inside she didn't know what to make of all of this.

"Ahh... Ok. But ahh this will only take a moment, these are for you." He chewed on his lower lip a moment, wondering if perhaps the meaning was lost. "They are hyacinth, they mean... Please forgive me." His lungs had stopped working and he had to remind himself to breath.

"They're really pretty..." Kofuku looked at the flowers, bitting the inside of her cheek as she tried to make answers come forth from the confusion in her mind. If only love came with instructions, because she certainly could use them. And why was it that the first time she'd gotten flowers was when a guy had broken her heart?
Her stomach growling broke her out of her thoughts, and she felt her cheeks grow warm. "Panther, I really need to eat." It growled again, coupled with another growl from Nina as she continued to glare at the man.

"I'll just set them on your desk then. They will last longer if you put them in water." Not giving her time to protest he set the bouquet next to her work. "And... do you mind if I join you? I understand if you are still mad at me, but, I'd like to apologize properly. With words and more then flowers. But I don't want you staving on my account." He looked at her, hands suddenly without a distraction. They flexed trying to find a place to rest. He had already eaten, but he was prepared for a stake out if necessary. The stares of the pokemon made him a little more nervous and he edged away from them, back to the door.

Not that Kofuku had planned to starve on his account to begin with. She was still hurting over the whole ordeal that she'd been through, and she wasn't about to do this man another favor for him to be ungrateful for. However, there wasn't harm in him going with her for food, especially since it'd be in a public setting. "Yeah, I guess you can join. Nina, c'mon, I think they're serving chili today."
Nina instantly stopped growling the moment chili was mentioned, though she did shoot Panther an incredibly dirty look and stationed herself between Kofuku and him.

He gave Nina, a respectful distance, letting her stay between him and Kofuku. "You like chili huh?" He tried to act casual. She wasn't giving him eye contact... she hadn't forgiven him. His shoulders slouched, and he fallowed her out. This was going worst then he hoped, but no more then he expected. He was tempted to blurt an apology to her now, but no one thought well when hungry.

Nina glared and snarled in response to Panther, not liking him even following them. "Nina." Kofuku said, her voice holding warning. The girl wasn't about the sentence the guy to a face full of Quilava fury and the infirmary wouldn't be too happy with someone else coming in injured at the moment.
Walking through to the cafeteria, Kofuku grabbed a tray and a couple of bowls, filling both of them full of chili. "Any place in particular you wanna sit?" She figured he'd say a corner or something; but the place was public enough for her to feel comfortable. The entire time, the knot in her stomach was growing, tumbling over a bit.

Quietly fallowing, he didn't say anything, not really noticing how dangerously close to a face full of fire he was. He grabbed a little chili but wasn't that hungry; his stomach was doing flip flops. "No." he shrugged a bit, taking the seat across from where ever she picked.

Glancing a moment over at him, Kofuku walked over to an empty table by the wall; it wasn't in the middle of the room, but it also wasn't tucked away completely out of site. Sitting down, Nina hopped up into the chair next to her and the pokemon stuck her face into a bowl.
Taking a bowl for herself, Kofuku set it in front of her, then glanced up at Panther. "I'm glad to see you weren't injured from the raid. I don't recall seeing you being brought in."

He smiled a little. "I was, but it was nothing serious. I figured they were to busy treating real injuries to bother with a scratch." he reached up and rubbed under his hat. "I didn't see you there, but I'm glad you didn't go you might have gotten hurt. We were completely disorganized in the end." his head turned to the wall, likely staring at it behind his glasses.

"Yeah, I ended up getting the stomach flu the night before, so I wasn't allowed to go because I was still recovering. But, with how busy everyone was in the infirmary, I guess it was a good thing I'd ended up showing up there anyways to try to work."
She let her voice fade off, sitting in awkward silence, playing in her chili with her spoon. It should have felt nice that he'd been worried about her well being, but for some reason it just felt... empty.

"Ahh, I didn't know. I was worried." He frowns, thinking. "I know you didn't think I listened to you or cared... but I did. I do. I just... needed to think for a while." he reached up and took his glasses off. "I'm sorry I yelled at you." His other hand griped the spoon, stirring the chili subconsciously. He wasn't eating any of it. his other hand played with the glasses and he set them on the table, looking away from them, and up at her.
