This is a fun one! I made the DNA pool out of my love of rando-numbers and Tektek. But, sadly, it's fallen into disuse. :< So, in order to remedy that, we have this contest!
To play, you have to roll two random parents. (No rerolls!) Then, in one of your posts, edit it with the following form. Be as thorough as possible! The entry that catches my eye the most will be made into a child.
= RULES = - No deleting posts to reroll; multiple entries are okay, though! - DNA Parents:( post both avvies here that corrospond with your rolled numbers)) Child's Name: Child's Gender: Child's Appearance: ((Tekteks are allowed)) Child's Personality: Prompt: Write something about your child and a birthday party.

DNA Parents: + Child's Name: Eleanore Child's Gender: Female Child's Appearance: Child's Personality: It's hard to be dark and brooding when everything around you is sunshine and rainbows. Literally with Eleanore's case. She just wants to be alone and ignored, but it's sort of hard because where ever she goes the clouds part and the day becomes beautiful and there's that darn ray of sunshine that always points her out like some cheesy Disney movie as rainbows unfurl around her. So her much desired alone time is never really there, thus she is grumpy all the time. She might bite, you have been warned. Prompt: Jackie seemed to attract the grumpy children. First Logan, and now her newest charge, Eleanore. Still, she was ready and willing to take this head on as she did last time, so after about a month of living with the small irritable tot, she decided to take her out for a stroll at the park. The sky had been overcast, though it wasn't long before Eleanore's ability turned on and everything was beautiful. Birds began singing songs you'd never think a bird would sing, but it did, and Eleanore's already sour face furrowed more in displeasure. A little girl, around Eleanore's age, decked out in a princess outfit from head to toe, walked over to them. "Hi!" she said to both of them, waving. "I'm havin' a princess birfday party...would you like to come?" Eleanore made a grumpy sounding noise. "No present..." she grumbled, trying to find a way out of this. The girl giggled. "Dats okay! I gettin lots anyway! Pweaaaaaase? You like a weal prwincess in da movies! You come out and so does da sun! And da biwdies sing pwetty songs!" Jackie looked at her daughter with a pleading face. "Come on sweetie, it'll be fun!" Eleanore just sighed in defeat. There was no point of resisting. She had tried before, but it never worked. The faster she got to this stupid party the faster it would be over. The party was just as bad as the small girl had dreaded. Princess games, princess cake (though it did taste good and Eleanore did get a piece with a princess head on it. The thought of her chewing on it pleased her). All the girls gave Eleanore their addresses so they could get letters from her and maybe come over to play, even though the whole time Eleanore did not play one single game. As soon as Jackie and Eleanore were out of sight range after the party was done and over with, Eleanore took all the pieces of paper and tore them to shreds. Jackie merely looking on sadly before picking up the shreds to discard in a trashcan. "Dumb..." Eleanore grumped, and with a sigh from Jackie, off they went back home

DNA Parents: , url=http://tektek.org/avatar/28888620] Child's Name: Asher Child's Gender: Male Child's Appearance: Child's Personality: Quiet though not shy. Outgoing when he wants to be and antisocial when he wishes. Generous though bratty at times Prompt: Asher sat in a corner of a table, looking at the gift in his hands. The gift was meant for the one that the party was for, but he couldn't seem to find that person in the crowds of the other guests. The child got up and decided to go through the crowd anyway, knowing that the person would love his gift. He had made it himself and part of him did drool at the sight of the cake. He smiled as he saw the birthday boy, walking over to give the gift to him.

DNA Parents: Child's Name: Nieve (Meaning - snow or snowy) Child's Gender: Female Child's Appearance: Child's Personality: Nieve loves the cold and the snow. It's something she inherited from both of her genetic parents - zombies naturally do better with snow and cold than heat and fire, and alpacas have so much soft wool that they do well in the cold. Nieve is curious, despite the fact that she has an utter lack of eyes, and adores exploring things with her hands and making ice sculptures and snowmen. Prompt: Nieve didn't like summer. IT was hot, and sticky and made her sweet when she wasn't using her ability to actively chill and freeze the air around her. She hated being forced to go to birthday parties too - although she hadn't been to a single one before. When you're part zombie - even though you're not decaying in the slightest - comes with a natural stigma because other kids think you're going to eat them or zombi-fy them or.... well, something. So Nieve was used to avoid social gatherings. Just because she had no eyes didn't mean she had no idea people were staring at her, and her hearing was better than most people's so she definitely heard the whispers. Still, today her adoptive father was insisting that she go. "It will be good for you," he said, chopping up some veggies for a stew that they would have for dinner later that night - Nieve could smell the individual vegetables, and tried to focus on them rather than the upcoming party. "But why Daddy?" she asked, her facial muscles flexing into a frown as she poked her fingers around in her dish of dippin' dots ice cream. "Nobody ever wan's t' play or talk wi' me!"Her daddy eyed her over the stew pot - she couldn't see it, but she knew when he was leaking that 'don't argue with me' feeling. "Well it's true!" the half-zombie exclaimed, ducking her head. Her father sighed, and Nieve heard the familiar swish of him pulling his ponytail over his shoulder,= and the rustle of his wings as he moved away from the food. Suddenly, she was scooped up into his right arm, and she automatically let her head rest in the spot where his neck met his shoulder. He wrapped a wing around her like he used to do right when she first came home to him, and snuggled her close. "I know you don't like it, Ni-Ni," he said, using his pet name for her. "But you've got to start making friends. I'll go with you, okay?" he said, stroking the soft, fluffy wool of her hair. As always, Nieve was unable to resist the soothing motion, and she nodded her head. "Okay, Daddy. I'll go - but only if you go wi' me," she said with a little sigh. Then she paused and grabbed at the dark feathers of her Daddy's wing. "What's this Jaella girl like?" Her daddy put her gown gently and patted her head. "You probably don't remember, Ni-Ni, but she was there when I got you. She's nice - I don't think that girl has a mean bone in her body. She'll like you. You might even like her."Nieve drug a foot along the floor, wobbling a little bit top maintain her balance. "Even half-zombies?" she asked doubtfully. Nobody was nice enough to like zombies! Not even half-zombies like her! Well, everybody but Daddy anyway. He didn't care, but that was because Daddy was special too. Frowning again, she folded her arms stubbornly. "An' you never go t' parties, so why would you go even f'r me? What's good about them if you don' go?!?"Nieve heardher daddy sigh again, and he patted her head. "Despite what you think Ni-Ni, you don't want to grow up to be just like me. I want you to grow up better than I did, and birthday parties are part of that. And yes, Jaella's nice enough to like you - you're not as unlikable as you think, Ni-Ni. And this party will prove it. I promise," he said, and Nieve believed him - after all, Daddy was NEVER wrong!

Generatin' for parent numbah two.Darcy Azoulai 39. ----- DNA Parents: Child's Name: Caprice Child's Gender: Male Child's Appearance: Child's Personality: Undeniably flamboyant and over the top, without a hint of shyness in his bones. Caprice isn't ashamed of the way he looks, rather, he embraces it because he gets to play dress up with the girls instead of rough housing with the boys (in which he would get dirty and immediatly wish to bathe). Sweat & Sun = Mortal enemy.
When left out in the heat too long, he can get cranky and he doesn't follow orders well, but when he does he tries with his whole heart. Prompt: Caprice huffed irritably from the backseat, stretching his seatbelt a foot in front of him with a frown. Summer was obviously not his favorite month, especially when you came from a family that couldn’t afford an air conditioned car. “Are we there yet? I’m sticky.” The child pouted. True to his word, his indigo skin was beginning to perspire and his naturally golden curly hair was beginning to kink.
“Almost, “ Talencia responded from the passenger seat. She looked back at her baby boy with a loving smile, and then picked up his embroidered fan. “Here, baby. Let momma cool you off.” She angled herself on the console to give him the best breeze possible.
That made him smile. Caprice settled back in his seat pleasantly, now looking out the window. He saw a mailbox with balloons, then a driveway covered in them, and next thing he knew there was a nice little suburban home swamped with pink, purple and gold streamers. “Wow!” He pressed his face against the glass in awe. Best. House. Ever!
“This is a fire waiting to happen,” quipped his other mommy, Millicent, from the driver’s seat as she unbuckled.
Once the trio were out and greeted, they were ushered to the back yard where the party was held. Caprice (holding a different mother’s hand in each of his) literally gasped at what he saw. There was a bouncy house, where at least a dozen kids played, a may pole, and a clown! When they told him he was going to a party, he expected what they had at home; a few friends and cake. This was WAY better.
Talencia bent down to her son’s level, her wide blue eyes making her look a century younger than she was. She smiled brightly and gave him a hug. “You can go play, but be nice and say ‘Happy Birthday’ to the girl with the tiara, okay?”
She got a tiara, too? Caprice pouted. What kind of girl was she to get all of this for her birthday? Never the less, he put on a bright show for her and returned the hug, then did the same with Millicent.
An hour of play went by before he ever saw the girl with the tiara and it was hard to ignore her after that. When it was time, she got to open the piñata, she was sung to and she got the first piece of cake. Caprice was fuming. Didn’t she know how to share? That piece of cake with the blue flower was so totally his.
The irritated child hung out in the back of the crowd underneath a shaded umbrella, furiously working his fan. It was too hot! Millicent watched him cautiously, her golden pigtails bouncing around her tanned ears. It was situations like these that turned their angel to a demon from hell.
Like it or not, they’d spoiled him.
And when he wanted something, NOTHING would stop him.
With a witty smile, Caprice snapped his fan shut and hopped of his chair, arranging his sash around his arms expertly. The child slipped in and out of the crowd, a nameless youngster in a sea. While everyone had their heads turned to the cow with the cake, he approached his prey.
“Which one? How ‘bout you?” Giddily, he sat down at the present table and plucked a pretty blue box from the fold, sitting it in his lap before tearing into it. “Ewww.” A pair of ugly brown shoes and a yellow dress. Without a second thought, Caprice threw it to the side and opened the next. “Oooh, a doll. Already got her.” Toss.
…..
Millicent fluffed out her skirt as best she could while keeping her arm wrapped around her girlfriend’s waist. She’d been so comfortable chatting with the adults that only now did she worry about her son. “Have you seen Caprice?”
“No wh-?”
“WAAAAHHHHHH!” The girl of the hour wailed form the top of her lungs, causing the entire congregation to turn.
She stood infront of the table that Caprice was disemboweling. He leaned over the mountain of shredded wrapping and tissue paper appraisingly, then said bluntly, “It’s all junk, you know.”
“CAPRICE!”
