The lioness was tired, really tired. She had had a long day of chasing around and baby sitting cubs. She loved her job, she loved watching cubs they were always interesting and fun to watch but they were tiring for sure. She trotted along the sands looking around noticing as the sun started to go down. She loved how cool it would get when then sun started to go down. It always made her smile feeling the cool wind as it blew through the lands.
She started to move a little faster toward the watering hole. She wanted something to cool her mouth and get rid of the dryness in there. She let out a small yawn then approached it a little smile on her face. She walked toward the edge and stepped in a little bit. Stepping her paws in before wiggling her toes around in the water. She leaned over and started to lap up some of the water in front of her. She lifted her head letting the water drip off of her chin a little bit before licking it off. She saw back on her haunches sitting on the shore.
Now if only she had some company. Her mother, sister and herself had settled into the pride a while ago and despite that she still hadn't managed to meet many other members of the pride. She was still trying to figure out how to fit into the pride better. She was hoping that next time she had a day off she could wander and meet some of the other members and make few friends.

A'nna was one of those many cubs born without fear or care. Her birth had been particularly average, and that suited her just fine. Although gender ambiguity was already large, it seems pointed to note that A'nna more than loved the jewelry she could adorn herself much, and she loved her home, and her religion. It is safe to say, that wherever she went, A'nna loved in more force than those many years her senior.
It seemed that this love flowed out and caught hold of her feet. The palms, the sand, none of it was ever enough. She wanted to laugh with the birds and the bees, hear the adult gossip and wonder.
The surge of energy and life around her was no greater than here, at the waters edge. Brave, as always, A'nna had dipped her feet in without anymore than a curiosity for what lay beneath.
There were other's there, but it was a single person that was close enough to catch her eye, and so she looked over and smiled. Whether they saw her or not, she did not care. But, they would see her. For when the chocolate brown lioness had finished her drink, A'nna mosied her way up the shoreline to greet her.
"If you sit, and wait for the sun to set, the water reflects all the colors right into your eyes." As patient as an aged woman, she sat herself next to the brown lioness. Another glance was sent to the other followed by a simple display of teeth.

Tibu was surprised at the sound of another's voice. Even though she wanted company, it was not something she was expecting to have. She flicked her hair out of her eyes before turning down and looking at the little one that walked up to her side. A smile grew on her lips as she looked at the little cub. That was something that always made her happy. The energy of little cubs was always something that she enjoyed seeing. They were refreshing and always were upbeat. She had never met a cub who was always down and never really happy.
"Really?" She asked curiously as she looked down at it before a smile grew larger on her face. "Wow! Thats really cool." She nodded to the small cub then she wiggled her toes around in the water. She thought for a moment before looking back down at the cub. "Why aren't you with you're parents little one?" She asked curiously before flopping down on her stomach feeling some of her chest touch the watter. "Most cubs are with their families right now." She chuckled slightly before looking around trying to see if any larger lions that looked similar to her were wandering not that far behind.
"What is your name?" She questioned curious about the little cub. Maybe it was part of the way that she was stilling getting used to the pride idea but one thing was for sure she wans't that used to seeing cubs that would just run up to anyone around the pride. When she was out in the rogue lands most cubs stayed away from adults that they didn't know just in case harm could come to them. Or at least Tibu stayed away from adults as of her mother's rules. "And what are you up to?" She chuckled as she spoke "Hopefully not getting into too much trouble!"

Following the question, A'nna tilted her head. One ear flopped back over her skull and she proceeded to shrug, blowing a strand of hair that had fallen over her muzzle.
"They're here," she decided to say. "Somewhere." A light laugh followed.
"It's safe. They are not worrying." They had likely gotten all of their worrying out long before now. When the much larger lioness lay down, A'nna moved forwards to do the same.
The water tickled her nose, and she entertained herself with blowing bubbles and watching them float away and hit the lightly breaking edges of the shore.
A flick of an ear later, and the cub gave her name. "A'nna."
That wry smile changed, though, to the smart, sassy one of a cub that knew it was smart. "I would never, miss." Trouble came and found her. There was no getting into it. And, really, it wasn't trouble if no one ever found about it.
As she grew bored with bubbles, she back-stepped her way back to her haunches. "You want to help me catch frogs?"

Tibu looked down at the small cub thinking as she did. She smiled slightly. "Well as long as they are around." She nodded, she was glad to know that the little cub did have parents around. She nodded to the little cub before chuckling. "Thats a really nice name A'nna." She smiled softly, she hadn't taken care of this cub or her siblings before she was wondering who the parents were in the first place. She shrugged the idea off. "My name is Tibu." She chuckled, just so the cub could know she made sure to tell the cub her name, so she could know what to call her really
She looked back at the small cub who joined her with laying down, she was glad that the cub looked comfortable but she felt a little odd that she wasn't at the same level at the cub anymore like she was before. She shrugged the idea off before chuckling as the cub started to blow bubbles. "Be careful little one! Make sure that you don't get too much water up your nose!" She chuckled a little more at the idea, the little cub was amusing.
A smile grew on her face as she shifted back up so she was sitting on her haunches instead of laying down. "If you want we can catch frogs! I wouldn't mind." She nodded at the idea "Do you know where all of the good frog catching places are?" She asked curiously leaning down for a moment. "I forgot!" She then sat back up fully smiling at the idea. Sure she was tired from catching frogs before but she didn't mind playing around some.

With one ear still on Tibu, as she would now be called, A'nna rolled back on her haunches and completely changed directions. There was not a lack of patience in how she did it. Her position was relaxed and well thought out as she began a light trot along the lakeside.
"Nope. I've never been frog-catching before."
Had she done it before, she probably wouldn't want to do it again. The point of life was to try everything. Unlike the rest of her pride, she walked faster the farther away from home she got and drug her feet on the return to civilization. Not because she did not like home, no, but because the pull of love was stronger.
"Have you ever eaten a frog?" she asked out of the blue. Her eyes were not on the lioness, but rather shifting along the water's edge searching and waiting for the topic at hand. "Just. . . put it in your mouth and swallowed it?"
A pause as her body tensed and both ears went forwards. A moment later, she had relaxed again. False alarm.

Tibu chuckled slightly as she pushed herself up on her feet too. this little cub was interesting she hadnt met any other like her. Something about her just seemed older but that wasn't the point, she was interesting in general. She had see a few older lions like that but not many younger. She was kind of hoping to be able to baby sit this cub one day maybe get to know her a little more. "Well I can tell you that it's fun!" She laughed slightly and nodded at the idea. She used to do things like that when she was younger, her and her sister would run around catching frogs and bugs, they would take them back to their mother too just to show them off.
She trotted behind the cub keeping up with her pace. She flicked her hair out of her eyes then smiled at the little cub. She started to think back to when she was younger, trying to figure out if she ever had eaten a frog. She looked up then looked back down at the cub laughing slightly. "I have eaten a frog once when I was younger." She nodded at the idea. "It didn't taste that great now that I think about it." she made a small face then shook her head. "It was really slimy and just taste weird in general."
She looked down at the cub then toward the water. "I think over there," she lifted a paw and pointed toward the side of the water where there was some mud and bushes. "I think that is a good place to find some frogs," she informed the cub before chuckling. "They like to do this funny thing where the burrow into the mud. Apparently they like it."
