Moxxi: -had spent the night in her den as per usual, but found that she almost craved the feeling of Bishop's body near hers as she slept; not saying that she didn't sleep fitfully...just with a touch of loneliness she couldn't wait for dawn, she paraded out to the den Bishop was set up in-
Bishop: -splayed out on his back, legs akimbo in the air, tongue lolling from him mouth and a low snoring coming from his throat. Having finally become truly comfortable in the pack he'd actually started to sleep better at night now that the original shock had worn off, but the empty den was somewhat lonely regardless without Moxii with him, but once he truly fell asleep he was like a rock...a very odd rock-
Moxii: -giggles and blushes as she comes across him, splayed out on his back- What a puppy. Gettup ya big goof! -grins and nips at his soft tummy gently before snuggling in with him. What would it be like to spend the night here? Away from all of her siblings and Momma. Her...sleeping with a boy! She blushed again- Hey. Wakeup... I want... -a pause- I want to introduce you to my family, Bishie.
Bishop: -opens a bleary brown eye to the female and grins before allowing a large yawn escape him- Say what? -rolls over and snuggles unto Moxii's warmth and flops a paw over her, pulling her closer to him and relaxing- Something about family? -tries to recall what he half heard her saying before calling him Bishie, a nickname that was likely to stick, but it was no matter, he liked it-
Alas was observant, and she was more in tune to her loved ones now, though she hadn't shared that with all of them just yet. She slipped out of the large den most of the family shared and shook off before moving to follow Moxii. She might have told Venera to go see what it was that had Moxii acting oddly lately, but the truth was Venera had been young when she had become a mother. Alas had stepped in to help raise her grandchildren and the instinct to keep right on doing that often had her moving before thinking to consult Venera. Besides she had a feeling she already knew what it was that distracted Moxii and Venera was only likely to worry about it instead of encourage it. Sadly the pups father never had shown up, and they had all done everything they could to ensure the pups wouldnt feel the loss.
Moxii: -is tugged closer and nuzzles her face under his, tail pounding against the den's stone floor- Yes. Family. I'd like you to meet my Momma and my Grandma, Bishop... -ears lower a bit- Would you be...okay with that? -never heard Alas come near, too distracted-
Bishop: -lays his head on top of hers and relaxes- Yeah..I don't see any problem with it. I mean I have to at some point don't I? -lifts his head up and looked out to the opeing of the den with interest, someone was coming, but who would be up at this time of the night wandering about?- Who...Who is there? - takes his paw off of Moxii and steadies himself to stand up at a moments notice.-
Alas sat down outside of the den, she didn't have to stay now or even say anything, her suspicion was confirmed. She was glad for it too, Moxii and Bishop would probably make a very loving pair. It was time to look to the future, she wasn't getting any younger and she and Crunch had to start thinking about letting Tempeste take her place. "Moxii, I just wanted to make sure you were alright dear..." She said softly with that lilting assurance in her tone. Alas was rarely angry, and just now she was rather happy. Granted she had thought Sil would be the first to tangle with a male, for Moxii to have found a special someone first was a bit of a surprise.
Moxii: -was just about to n** Bishop's ear when he stood and spoke. Had she been followed? She drops to the ground, tucking her tail. She'd not heard anyone... Her follower must've been good at silence! Glancing to Bishop, she was about to curl up under him when she heard her grandmother's voice, soft and assuring. She lets out a deep breath, then hurries out of the den to greet Alas- Why wouldn't I be alright? -voice is still a bit shaky; glances back at Bishop and blushes-
Bishop: -docks his ears a bit and follows Moxii out of the den, but the looks of the female she was family all right, he sat down beside Moxii and bowed his head, and keeping himself silent, anything he was likely to say would come out nothing more than a mess and he didn't need to cause Moxii and grief, not now-
"Well usually when a nice young girl wanders away from her family in the middle of the night, it's because she's worried or upset...or in trouble. I can see your neither worried, upset, or in trouble...." She slowly smiled. "You should have told us you had someone here who would keep you safe, it'd good to know." It was a brief lecture followed by the warmth and acceptance that the pack was known for. Almost all of them had open hearts and open minds, of course there were acceptions, and even Alas wasn't fool enough to think they were all safe and happy. A war had been brewing and it was closer now then ever, but inside the pack there was still love, and life. She turned then to look at Bishop her blue eyes trailing over him carefully as if memorizing his every feature. "Hello there, I'm Alas." She didn't say she was the alpha, or moxii's grandmother, or that she would see him dead if he hurt her, she never needed to say silly things like that she was too friendly for anyone to believe it anyway, that was Twix's area of expertise.
Moxii: -drops her ears and head, even at Alas's soft words, never yelling or really making her feel bad, but that was the best thing about her... Wiggles up to her grandmother and licks at her muzzle- I'm sorry, gramma... I didn't know...what Momma would say if she knew. -ducks her head and glances back to Bishop as Alas looked him over- Gramma, this is Bishop... My boyfriend- Oh how strange that word was to say aloud. She wiggles over to Bishop, snugging into his scruff- Bishie... This is my Gramma, Alas.
Bishop: -so he was right, she was family...but he hadn't expected the wolf to be her grandmother of all things, an aunt maybe.- Pleasure...is uh mine..-he wasn't sure whether to hold eye contact otr look away as Moxii introduced him, grandmother...gods that was hard to get over, but either way, family was family nonetheless- I...I assure you...I take good care of...of her...-wags his tail a little in an attempt to be friendly...so much for being brave and fearless-
Moxii: -grins at his sheepishness, pressing in closer, feeling happy, giddy almost- He does. Um Gramma... -a pause- You think...Momma would care if maybe...I spent the night in his den? -ears fold back and her silver eyes shine uncertainly- You don't think she'd have like, separation anxiety?
Alas nodded softly and smiled at Bishop, he was smart to assure her of Moxii's care. Obviously he already understood how things worked in this pack, love, trust, family that was their way. She turned and smiled at Moxii then and have a soft nod, "It's about time for you to have a den of your own, I'm sure you'll be very happy and safe here with Bishop."
Venera had been following Alas quietly as possible, she had lost her in the darkness but picked back up on her mothers trail. Alas had been acting odd lately vanishing for hours or even a whole day at a time. She was always quiet now meditating and looking at things oddly, as if she saw something they didn't see. She had also stopped gathering as many herbs and roots, Venera was worried. Alas always made sure they had more then enough, the den was always full of reeds, berries, roots, herbs of everykind for every ailment. Now with the war coming closer and closer it seemed odd for Alas to have stopped stockpiling.
Moxii: -smiles at her grandmother and, at the thoughts of actually sleeping, spending the night with Bishop, blushes and drops her head- Thank you. I hope Momma doesn't mind too much... I don't want to worry her...
Bishop: -perks up a little at being acknowledged and furthermore trusted with his beloved Moxii- Of course she'll be safe -he nudged back against her and licked her maw lightly, he'd give his life for her in a heartbeat, but now he at least had her grandmother's approval...not it was just time for mother dearest, with the memories of his own mother he cringed slightly, but inwardly. No, not everyone was like her, he had to stop thinking that way-
"Worry?" Venera walked into the group feeling suddenly...worried. She simply hadn't expected to find Moxii and some male together with Alas. What had been going on, and why hadn't she known about it? She felt foolish for not knowing, weren't mothers supposed to know these things? Alas had always known everything and known just what to say and do to soothe or excite. She looked at her own mother and then to her daughter and finally at the male. "Whats going on here?" She asked, not angry but obviously upset with her lack of knowledge.
"Hello dear..." Alas smiled and gave Venera's muzzle a soft lick. "Moxii here has found this nice young male...and well she's getting a bit crowded in the den, she'd like to sleep here." She gave Venera the barest of nods, obviously having approved this already. Still she knew it would be Venera's right as a mother to inspect the male for herself. Someday Venera and Tempeste would have dens of their own, odd yet comforting that her babies hadn't done so already. She could tell Frey was ready to make his own den, he might hold out a little while longer. It was a hard thing to let a child you loved so much make their own lives...lives where they could be hurt...or find happiness. She always tried to look at the bright side, sometimes you stumbled right where you needed to be.
