Favorite Food ✦ Fish, crab, poultry, small rodents (Er, only in cat form, though). He'll eat just about anything, though.
Hated Food ✦ Peas. The texture makes him gag. Horseradish, too.
✦ Hobbies ✦
Yoga ✦ It’s about breathing, not stretching; though it certainly helps with that. Yoga hones core strength, balance, movement, and detoxifies the body. He’s been doing it ever since he could remember, and has no intention of stopping. Leon partakes in yoga mostly while in cat form, since it's dangerous to be in human form for too long. He needs to keep his long limbs sufficiently lubricated, and it helps with balance and movement, too. Of course, he’s limited to certain poses as a cat, and would much rather prefer to practice while in human form.
Beach trip!/Water ✦ Leon, like other exotic cat species, really doesn’t mind water. In fact, Leon loves it! He’s a good swimmer but hates the smell of chlorine and how it dries out his skin, so he’ll have to be convinced to go to a pool. Lying out in the sun or even splashing around in the surf is great fun for Leon. The ocean has glorious amounts of delicious food in it, anyway, so he’s all for fishing via claw and tooth. Rivers, lakes, streams, puddles — anything wet and unchlorinated, he loves.
Guerilla Gardening ✦ Urban living isn't exactly the number one choice for the larger cat like Leon. He would much rather prefer fresh air and plenty of space to stretch out in, but he does his best to make do with living in Destiny City. (It would be so much more convenient if the Senshi just came to him to be awakened, instead!) Although this hobby of his isn't exactly new, Leon does have to alter his strategy in order to accomplish everything he wants to for city living. Instead of just sneaking into someone's yard and digging a hole in a forgotten corner and dropping in a tulip bulb, he now has to be a bit more original with his gardening tactics, especially since there's only so many places he can plant. But the challenge doesn't discourage him, but gives him something to look forward to.
While exploring the city, he takes notes of where humans have abandoned pots of soil on their balconies, or where there's an empty lot with nothing but old tires and dirt. Once he's sure the place won't be disturbed for a while, Leon goes in with seeds and bulbs that he, uh, just happens to find at a hardware or plant store, and plants in places that he thinks needs a little more color. Those sunflowers that can be seen, growing in the grates on sidewalks? Totally Leon. Wonder why there's a bunch of dirt and little bits of green popping out of that old boot that was left outside to rot? Leon, as well. Hey! It's not like planting in already abandoned spaces is illegal, right? Okay, maybe the trespassing thing, but who's really counting? The city needs more life.
Maps ✦ Leon started keeping and making maps when he started his gardening hobby, just so he wouldn't lose track of the places that he'd hit, and so he could take care of the plants as well, of course. It started out with just making a rough sketch of the neighborhood on an old scrap of paper (darn lack of opposable thumbs), but as he started expanding his territory, he needed a better way of keeping tabs on everything. Now that he lives in the city, Leon has a stash of maps he keeps in the seemingly abandoned basement of some old store. He doesn't stay there, but slipping through the broken basement window is a lot easier than toting maps of the city streets, sewers, and various apartment buildings around with him.
It's not only maps of where he's planted that he keeps track of, either, but also the best places to snag some lunch, where people who have been exceptionally nice to him live, as well as locations of where he's come in contact with Senshi, Negaverse agents, other guardian cats, and now Knights. It might seem a little obsessive to some, for him to keep that kind of information recorded, but it definitely helps when he's looking for someone in particular.
The maps that he "makes" from scratch are very, very rough, which usually means he's the only one who can decipher them. Even with the help of a ruler, he has difficulty actually drawing them. Kind of like the artwork of young children. Instead, he keeps already printed maps and just marks them with whatever he can. Sometimes he circles things in pen or marker, if he can get his paws on some, and one time he found a half used pack of tiny heart stickers. Whatever gets the job done!
✦ Virtues* ✦
Friendly ✦ Leon can give off a goof-ball impression with his constant smile and friendly flick of his tail. He claims things like “A stranger is only a friend you haven’t met yet” or that he’s “never met a stranger”. He does his best to give off the impression (through nuzzling, of course) that he’s open to people coming up and talking to him, or asking for advice. He isn’t hostile in his actions — he’s a lover, not a fighter, but is fine with defending. He wants others to know that he’s a support for them, should they need a helping hand… er, paw. The more friends he has, the more adventures he could go on, after all!
Assertive ✦ Leon isn’t afraid to walk up to someone, introduce himself, and take charge of a conversation or situation — ‘shy’ is the farthest description from this cat. Some may say that he’s too forward in his actions, but he sees it as opening new opportunities. If there's ever an opportunity to turn a conversation to be about him, he's all for encouraging it! If something were going badly for an ally, he wouldn’t hesitate in offering assistance to them. Leon feels that this confidence of his gives him an edge in the world, and will ultimately enable him to survive through tough times.
Enthusiastic ✦ Almost to the point where others would think he’s being fake, Leon shows great zeal for just about everything, whether he does it, or if someone else is doing something and wants to share their excitement with him. He’s most passionate about his adventures, but will also parallel that in his duty to the Senshi he’s responsible for. He loves being able to meet new potential teammates, and will excitedly try to explain why a cat is talking to them before they can run away, or try to kick him. Leon is all for being the team cheerleader, especially when morale is running low and they need a little boost to keep going.
Adventurous ✦ With rarely matched energy, Leon is always up for new and unknown adventures. The world is full of possibilities and opportunities, things to explore and investigate, and he’s ready to take it on! He rarely settles for staying in one place for very long, picking up a sort of vagabond nature. Where he ‘lives’ is just where he’ll sleep and keep his stuff, but other than that, it’s a useless space. While he does prefer to remain clean and spotless, he is more than aware of the hazards his adventuring could pose, often times leaving him covered in dust or other debris. He does his best to avoid such messy situations, but he's not against finding a sink to wash off in if it gets too unbearable.
A silly dream of his is to be on a reality TV show, such as The Amazing Race or Survivor — sadly, the tail and ears are a little difficult to explain. He loves the idea of testing one’s skills in order to win a contest. He’s also not shy in trying new things. He would one day like to try skydiving! People bring pets to skydive, right? Anything new and exciting, he’s up for!
✦ Flaws ✦
Overbearing ✦ Because of his friendly disposition and extreme enthusiasm, Leon can come off a lot more forward than he intends. What a friendly nuzzle of greeting would be for any other cat, it’s a pounce and a headbutt for Leon. He doesn’t really understand that sometimes he needs to back off and tone things down unless he’s told so. He also takes it into his own business to make sure those around him are okay, often meddling in affairs that don’t involve him. He insists that he’s just trying to be helpful, and doesn’t fully understand that there are times in which help is not required. Don't even start trying to explain "personal space" to Leon, because it won't compute.
Vain ✦ He’s hot stuff, or at least that’s what he believes. Leon spends a lot of time cleaning his fur or brushing his hair, depending on what form he’s in, making sure that everything is perfect. He spends a lot of time making sure his body is in tip top form and that his clothing is carefully chosen to his tastes. Primping and preening is just part of his daily routine, and is often caught looking at his own reflection whenever a shiny surface is available. His vanity has made him rather flippant with his comments sometimes, not really putting forth the effort to censor his words for someone else's feelings. If it's not about him, then why does it matter? Oh, right... because there are bigger things... He might have to be reminded of that from time to time...
Envious ✦ He enjoys being beautiful and doesn’t like it when there are other beautiful people or cats to compete with. If he feels like he’s falling out of the spotlight in favor of someone else, he’ll do whatever he can to rectify it, even if he has to be a drama queen to get the attention. He will still be more than friendly in his actions — a grin, a rub against legs, and purring — but those actions would be more pronounced than usual. Pouncing will more than likely be involved in this reclaiming of his throne. He tries not to show his resentment for those stealing his spotlight, but sometimes it might slip. If he does happen to show his discontentment, he does his best to cover it up by changing the topic... probably to something about himself!
Enigmatic ✦ While he is quite friendly and enthusiastic by nature, there is also a certain aura about Leon that makes those around him think that there are things he does to cover up his true thoughts and intentions. Is he really that air-headed and didn't hear a question, or is he avoiding answering for other reasons? Leon will talk about himself for hours upon end — his beautiful hair, clothing, complexion, etc. — but he never talks about his personal business, and much less about his past. He will claim, with a grin and flip of his hair, or cocky tilt of his head, that he simply doesn't remember, or that it was too boring to talk about, but there's something about the sparkle in his eyes that makes it seem forced.
Leon, although he may really try to seem approachable, never feels truly connected to anyone. He is unable to focus his attention on one person long enough to form some kind of meaningful relationship with them, and is often re-introducing himself to Senshi and other cats, even if they have met time and time again. Because really? He can't bring himself to care enough about anyone to get to know them. Why? Because he — doesn't he have such lovely hair?? (He's not going to say! Or he really... just doesn't care! Who knows!)

Physical Description
Cat Form

Face/Ears ✦ Leon would sport a proud, confident little smile, obviously wanting to appear friendly and inviting to others. The backs of his ears are mostly black, except for the white stripe across the center, just like his breed.
Body ✦ Adult cat, lithe and long.
Fur ✦ Like his exotic looking sire, Leon's coat has the black spots and stripes of the serval. The tip of his tail is black, has a few stripes, before blending into spots. They aren't like cheetah spots, but are solid and mostly small. The coat is short, and the star on his forehead is golden yellow.
Eyes ✦ Not incredibly large or small in size, Leon's eyes are bright, ice blue. They are slightly hooded, usually, in more of a flirty manner than anything else.
Accessories ✦ None at the moment. (But I'm open to suggestions!)

Hair ✦ Salmon pink/orange in color, Leon's hair is long, billowy fluff clouds of large, mostly inward turned curls. He loves his bangs, so instead of trying to tame them and pin them back, he lets them fall into his face, covering his eye depending on the direction he's looking. His bangs are fluffy enough to not lay directly against his face, so it's not that difficult to see around them. He takes great pride in his hair, and he rarely ties it back for fear of breaking or damaging the beautiful strands, especially since his cat form has such short hair. :<
Face ✦ Matured and oval in shape, Leon is usually seen holding a relaxed expression, flashing a pearl-white smile.
Physique ✦ Tall and lithe like a cat, Leon has enough muscle to pull off his favorite poses in yoga, but he's no where near to being buff, bulging with muscles. He doesn't think it's all that bad, though, since he's done pretty well for himself for not being a body builder.
Clothing ✦ (No idea. I just know I want his hair and eyes as they are in the reference, and the hair as long as possible without being completely ridiculous, but other than that... I honestly have no idea.)

It's the Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese form of Leonard, which means “brave lion”.
Bobcat?
The first time I heard about (and fell in love) with the Savannah breed was from seeing a news story where people in a neighborhood (near where I life, actually) freaked out because they thought a bobcat was roaming the streets; it was really just a Savannah that got separated from its family.

They are similar in size and markings. Their ears definitely have the same markings, but a Savannah's tail is a bit longer and they're typically longer limbed than bobcats. The reported Savannah was mistook for an adolescent bobcat.
Savannah random fact?
Savannahs are known to be able to jump up to 8' from standing position! Of course, that's not much of a surprise after knowing that servals can jump up to 12' from standing.
Assertive, Adventurous, Excitable, Friendly?
Taken directly from the typical Savannah personality. They can be trained like a dog, are extremely sociable, and very intelligent. Obviously these traits have been adjusted for Leon.
Quirks
Stalker ✦ Leon has been known to follow people around and sit out on their stoop until he's fed or shooed away. If they have especially good food, he'll hang around more often. So the next time you think that there's someone following you... It might be Leon.
Cuddling ✦ Leon isn't a lap cat; he can't be because of his size, but he loves being scratched. If scratched in the right spot behind his ear, he'll eventually fall asleep, and until then, he'll be completely distracted from everything around him. Of course, he only allows people he knows to pet him, but still... he loves a good scratch.
Hunting ✦ It's not much, but Leon likes to show his gratitude by leaving presents on doorsteps for people who've fed him or put up with his stalking habits.
Pouncing/Headbutts ✦ It means "hello!" in Leon. <3

Height ✦
F1 Savannahs are sired from an African serval and a domestic cat. Leon is a F1 generation Savannah cat, and as a result he is taller than generations after him. He stands about 16.5" from toe to shoulder, although his hind legs are visibly longer than his front legs while standing upright, as usual with the species. While Maine Coon cats hold the record for being the largest recorded domestic cats, Savannahs stand the tallest with long legs, long necks, and large, rounded ears.
Weight ✦
Because of its size and lean build, Savannahs often appear to weigh more than they actually do. Maine Coon males, with their muscle, length and height, weigh on average 15lbs - 25lbs. It is possible for earlier generations of Savannah males to weigh up to 20lbs. So although a bit taller than the average Maine Coon, Leon would weigh about 12lbs - 15lbs.
Meowing ✦
Savannah cats are known to meow like their domestic mother and/or chirp like their Serval father. Sometimes they make a sound that is a mixture of the two. Leon, who is very vocal to begin with, would do all three before remembering he could actually talk. Savannah cats also hiss more similarly to a snake than a cat, and can be startling to those who are not used to hearing them.

4/19/11 Contest Attempt
Dawn was breaking. Pale orange painted the horizon of an already blue-ing sky. There was nothing special about that day, yet everything about it was remarkable. For instance — the brightest stars still speckled the darkness above, and the cirrocumulus clouds promised a gentle breeze. Such things may seem insignificant to others, but it brought so much more meaning to life for Leon.
Perched above the early morning bustle of Destiny City, a solitary cat stood, poised on the wide ledge of a tall building. It was the most peculiar sight for anyone who happened to catch a glimpse, and might even mistake him for a statue; he stood so still.
One hind leg was stretched out behind him, lifted into the air. The opposite front leg was lifted as well, reaching out in front of him. Ice blue eyes stared, unblinkingly ahead, his body frozen, save for the tip of his tail, which twitched every so often.
He was new to the city, drawn there by the darkening aura that seemed to have risen up around it. Leon knew what he was, knew his duty to the Senshi, but the lack of benefits for himself had kept him away.
Why should he bother risking his own spotted coat when he could feel the presence of other guardians?
He had been perfectly content where he’d been in the country — sleeping on welcoming front porches during the day, while exploring barns and caves by streams at night. Not to mention how the stars were seen easier outside the city.
Slowly, the front and back leg lowered, only for the two previously on the ground to lift and stretch out. His legs remained like that for a while as well, before they too lowered. His eyes slipped shut as he leaned backwards, his hind legs straight and his toes spread, as he lowered the front part of his body, reaching forward in a typical cat-like manner.
Leon hadn’t planned on moving to the city. In fact, it was the farthest thing from his mind up until a few weeks ago. The other guardians should be able to handle whatever was thrown at them, but with the surges and drops in power, his curiosity ended up getting the best of him. For now he would just look around, scout out the city, and try and determine what the situation was.
Part of him hoped he wouldn’t be needed and he could go back to his leisurely existence, but his sense of adventure and desire for action grew too strong to continue to ignore.
He straightened back up, before taking a seat, his tail curled around him as he peered out over the countless rooftops. This city might take some getting used to, but it could be a lot of excitement, too. Leon took in a deep, centering breath, letting it out slowly as he bowed his head towards the ground, a single word uttered.
“Namaste.”

First off, I love Savannah cats! They're soooo~ pretty~
And I'm laughing this entire time, so props for that.
Yoga I absolutely love that he's a cat that does yoga because there's a pose called the Upward Cat! (That's what I've heard it called at least...)
Does he go to a gym or studio to do yoga? Does he socialize there too? Cause lots of cute girls go to yoga classes and that seems like a prime place to go hunting for some ladies. wink
Eyes Do you mean "large in size"?

Anyways. Onto the critting! I REALLY loved that you incorporated the Savannah's breed personality to Leon's. It shows a lot of care not only in researching the cat, but creating the character. I also really like that he isn't necessarily standoffish at first like most Savannahs, because then you're not sticking to the mold, but branching out a reasonable amount!
The only thing I have to actually crit are the general lack of passion in his hobbies. What does he do that he LOOOOOVES? He does yoga because he likes it, he likes the beach, he likes the ladies, he likes guitar because of the ladies, but what does he do because it's his one true non-person-love? What gets him excited? What makes him make muffins with his kitty paws when he thinks about it? I'm really interested to see this development! He sounds like a really great character and whatever hobby he chooses is bound to be interesting!
One last thing and then I promise to stop. wink
Leon sounds like the typical playboy. What else? What makes him either not the typical playboy or different from the rest? It's fun to play a playboy, but he's got to have some other personality trait (whether a flaw or attribute) that sets him apart just so you're not playing the same old, same old ladies' man.
BUT. I still think Leon is pretty wicked. I can really tell that you know him like a real person, which will really help you when roleplaying. I'm very interested to see his continuing development and hopefully to rp with him one day!
Hope this helps and I really hope you get him. He sounds amazing!

Let me begin by saying ;; it's evident that you did your research < 3. I applaud you on that. One of my closest friends owns a Savannah kitty-- and I know how they are. I've owned a cat or two before, but none other than this breed is as amiable or excitable as the Savannah! So, here we go!
Personality:: I have no qualms about Leon's personality in general. Cats in general are very vain-- or the ones I've owned anyways; and you know how they like keeping themselves prim and proper. Incredibly selfish as well. That being said, I was a bit puzzled about two of his flaws; the first two. Mainly because I think they seriously conflict with 'Forethought'.
So, it is evident that Leon possesses a brain for 'street smarts', yes? He's friendly, and thinks about stuff ahead of time. Maybe this is just me, but if I was as charming as Leon, I'd be sensitive to others. On the other hand, to some extent, I can get that some might find this trait attractive? Hmm. But, mostly, I feel it conflicts with his second flaw.
Let's see, for example-- one night stands. These things should require a lot of thinking ahead of time. Perhaps it doesn't apply in Destiny City ;; and maybe I've been watching too many reality shows-- but what about pregnancy & STDs? Forget the other person, but everything comes with consequences, am I right? That's the only thing I need clarification on < 3.
Hobbies:: Hmm. Guardian cats are really old, am I correct? Much more wiser and intelligent than new senshi. You could call them "guidance counselors." That being said, a hobby such as guitar is relatively new, yes? For all of his hobbies;; I'd love to see some origins?
Etc:: Pink hair is epic 8D. I would point out more things-- but Avast covered all four bases x3. But I whole-heartedly agree ;; I'd like to see what makes Leon different? For example, let's say Leon was responsible-- that would blow my mind. One flaw can completely change a character ;; but I really like Leon.

I love Savannahs too, and I doubt I'll ever be able to afford one, so Leon will hopefully be my alternative.
And thanks for the spelling corrections. I don't know why I rushed through it. DX
I did some more research on Guardian Cats (like I should have done more in-depth before) and found that it'll be difficult for him to be in human form for very long, since they give off large amounts of energy and Negaverse agents will be able to figure it out, even if he hides his ears and tail. SORRY LEON, you can't flirt with the cute yoga girls. D:
For his guitar hobby, well, I had to drop that, too... Since it would require him being in human form to practice and that would be too dangerous. But just for a note — guitars actually date back to the Renaissance, even if they aren't exactly like the modern guitars of today. I think before guitars were gitterns? Yeah... Sorry, Leon. You can't play guitar, either.
I also nixed the Forethought virtue, as well as the first two flaws I had before. Hopefully it reads a bit better now. <3

I lke that he does yoga. But does he do yoga on the beach? Does he flirt while exploring?
Hmm. For friendly, I know he's popular among the strays, but he can't just talk to them like " Hi ". He will meow, instead.

Okay, going over this a bit more, I'm thinking we might have to reconsider his self-righteousness. Not to comment on two posts in one, but I think that's a trait that would more likely fall on Chris, not Leon. Once again I had to remind myself to call him Leon and not the name I want to call him on first impulse. I think overbearing is good, though, so I'm glad you put that in there. If you really want a fourth flaw... what about lackadaisical?? He does what he's supposed to, but because he's so adventurous and enthusiastic, he can be a little careless. Maybe?? I don't know... D:

Lackadaisical isn't so much reckless as it is careless. When I think reckless, I think brash and just kinda jumping into things without thinking them through, but lackadaisical is more, like... not paying as much attention to something, or being easily distracted in the midst of something important. Sort of absent-minded. And maybe a little forgetful??

For some reason, the definition of lackadaisical I was getting was more like... relaxed and lazy (and I know I spoke to you about this, but I just want to reiterate it, for myself) so I decided to go with Whimsical, instead!
