[OOC] Joining Information & Pride Member Updates

If you've read this far than there's a good chance you're interested in joining! Please fill out this form and post it here, in this thread so Uta can get back to you!

There are a few things we'd like you to be aware about and cover. Please bear with us.

1. Any species can join, be it lion or otherwise. There is no discrimination here.

2. Please make sure you realize if a lion from outside the Kitwana'antara joins, or lion-hybrid, he or she will come in contact with the plague. Whether or not you choose to have him or her infected is entirely up to you at this point in time.

3. You do not have to have an RP meeting with the Queen or King. . . but realize that ICly this will certainly take place before they are accepted members. Remember to read up all the information in the Ceremony section of this thread. :3 If you would like an official RPed meeting with the Queen, Uta is always happy to do so.

4. Remember, lions and lion-hybrids have a fairly strict self-quarantine. Entering this pride means that very few lions will get to roam. They can meet others at the border, but for those who are infected or carriers leaving the lands is STRICTLY forbidden. This doesn't mean we can't have fun though. . . ;0;

5. If you have a non-lion or immune lion or lion-hybrid that wishes to leave, you may do so by filling out the form below. I understand this isn't the place for everyone.

NOTE: Just to clear up information. Border RP is encouraged between pridal lions and non-members or rogues. All we ask is that you do not spread the disease (unless the lions are willing to join the pride or are granted permission from the mule). The disease is spread through saliva and blood only so outsiders can interact with pride lions freely and even form relationships/breed. Just no excess grooming or fighting, etc.

What rank do you see them obtaining or gunning for? Secret Keeper, Scout or Spy; Not sure yet which.
Reasons why the rank would fit them? Njeve has a cold kind of attitude that wards off most people from actually wanting to be friendly with her. She was also taught at an extremely young age that being absolutely quiet is a must. And since she's being 'raised' by Timur, she would probably grow as loyal to the pride as he.
Personality?: Njeve takes after her mother not only in looks but personality as well. She has a cold air about her, though it isn’t the nasty intentional kind, it’s more of the “I’m blunt and don’t like games, deal with it.” kind of cold. Unlike her mother though, if you can manage to tolerate Njeve’s responses and demeanor, she warms up to you in her own way quite quickly exposing the fertile nature of her being.
Brief History?: Njeve was born into a family of three, with a wanderer for a father, and a cold mother. One day while out exploring to escape her sister's loud mouths, she found herself lost and alone. She called continuously for her mother, father and siblings, but never heard from them again.

Njeve feels she was abandoned.

Description:Her body is a very pale tan with golden freckled and light spotting. She has a darker patch on her back/rump and her socks are darker, with three slightly darker than one.
I'd love it if she could have her braid. Her hair is red, the bangs covering her left eye and she has a red tip on her tail to match.
Her right eye is a bright green, the left is silver and dead with long since healed clawmarks. She also has scars over her body, not too many but enough to show that she had gotten into a pretty bad fight once.
Instead of her necklace I'd like a henna-like tattoo around her neck with the run featured on her ref sheet as the main 'pendant' and then more runes/patterns fanning out from there.

What rank do you see them obtaining or gunning for? Nanny with a possible 'promotion' to healer later on
Reasons why the rank would fit them? Because of what she has been through she has become very nurturing. She prefers the company of younger ones as it was the adults in her life who turned against her. Later on I'd like her to learn the healing arts as her quiet nature would fit well as an aid to a healer.
Personality?: While Rynnit is a cosplay of my OC Amirynth she is a character I love to RP and I think would be a lot of fun to involve and see her grow within the SoA world. Rynnit is soft spoken and shy. She prefers staying in the background and listening to others than being in the center of attention, a complete contrast to her former self. She usually keeps to the shadows, not wanting to show the scars from the pride attack that left her so ragged and skittish. Gentle and kind to younger cubs, Rynnit feels more comfortable around the unbiased, even if their questions can get a bit personal.
Brief History?: When she was born there was hopes that she would become the next seer of extraordinary power. A power that she never exhibited (whether she has any remains to be seen) She received special treatment from birth and was being groomed for important positions in the pride (who's name remains to be seen). Rynnit was gregarious and friendly to all and always was willing to give a paw to those who needed it. However fate seemed to have a way of twisting things. Everything that she touched seemed to wither after a time, the advice she gave turned sour, or things she helped with would fall apart and soon the whispers grew that she was actually cursed. Food stopped being in such abundant supply and then the rains stopped coming. One night the suspicious pride turned on her, attacked her and left her for dead. Rynn would never be quite the same after that. Bruised and scarred, loosing the sight in her left eye, she dragged herself to shelter and slowly recuperated. A loner on the outskirts of the other prides, she wishes she could return to the life she once knew but is too scared to cross those lines right now. She will be found by one of the Kitwana and brought into the fold.

Shouko: You are definitely accepted! Feel free to paw at me (Uta) if you want any sort of RP. Otherwise consider your cub a new member! She won't be official (Icly) until about a month just so no one comes seeking her out. . . Also, I don't know if you plan on her being cared for by Timur or just assume she settles with an NPC in the pride, but cubs are usually adopted out and taken in by various members or families.

I have a lion or two who wouldn't mind caring for a cub if that's your fancy. Otherwise yeah. . . welcome to the Kitwana!

Is this an original member of the pride or are they brand new to join? Since she's nowhere NEAR quiet enough to have been in the pride all along and in hiding, she'll have to be new to join. :3
What rank do you see them obtaining or gunning for? Most likely Nanny.
Reasons why the rank would fit them? Nanny would fit her the most since she's an overgrown cub herself and isn't easily brought down by even the saddest things. That and... no-one but cubs would be likely to have her. xd
Personality?: This lioness couldn’t keep quiet if her life depended on it. As her name implies, she is very chatty and loves to talk. Always happy and bouncy, she doesn’t let the little things in life get her down – and to Kubwa, everything in life that people stress about is little; even something like a deadly disease is no big deal to this female. Her happy-go-lucky nature is never brought down, and she is forever bouncy and bubbly.

If her best friend came up to her and told her, “I’m dying,” she’d say “Oh, really? That’s too bad. Let’s go do some fun things while we can then!” Ever the optimist, Kubwa is convinced that someday there will be a cure for every illness, that there will always be enough food, and that everyone in the world is her friend. Obviously, this last belief gets her into trouble at times, because her naivety never lets her know when to quit.

She will approach a lion and ask to spend time with him, even if he’s already said no three times, and even told her to leave him alone. Kubwa just does not get refusals, or hatred, or suffering. She sees life in an eternally sunshine-coated landscape, where everything and everyone farts rainbows and poops butterflies.

Depending on how you like your optimism, Kubwa is either the most refreshing person to be around, since she bubbles over with confidence and happiness, or the most annoying, because she refuses to shut up and back off. She’s rather like an over-sized cub who never learned how to be quiet, and nothing can make her do that now.
Brief History?: Kubwa is a rogue who has been trying to find the best home for her; a place where she can make lots of new friends and bring happiness to those around her. She's had a lonely life so far but doesn't let it get to her any more than anything else - though she is something of a horrible failure as a hunter, since her colors make her ridiculously easy to spot. By sheer coincidence, she's wandered into Kitwana lands and decided that these lions need some sunshine in their lives, and that it's going to be her new home!

Just let me know if you'd like an official meeting between Nawiri'chiwa and your lioness or not, otherwise it is assumed she's gone through the proper ritual. You can get a joining-RP with anyone in the pride, it doesn't necessarily have to be with the Queen either!

Reasons why the rank would fit them? It's what she's been for most of her life. And even if she ends up seeing her life in Kitwana'Antara as a chance to relax and do the gentler things, it doesn't change the fact that fighting is what she's good at and a skill that she can pass on to others.
Personality?: Mittere has always resented the fact that people seem to think a pink lioness should be "girly." Worse than that, she has a hot temper that tends to smolder for a long time after the initial flare-up - especially concerning those who let her fur color shape their opinion of her. This warrior not only holds a grudge, she treasures it and would, if it was not impractical, return to the sites of past victories to savor the fall of her enemies again.
Brief History?: Mittere was trained as a fighter where her temper was ideally suited to quick retaliation in battle and the calculation of revenge off the field. She has never met an opponent she couldn't defeat in the end. Of course, just because she can claim victory in the war doesn't mean she wins every battle. In her last engagement, the lioness took a severe wound in addition to the loss of every other fighter in her group.

Now she has made it to the edge of Kitwana'Antara lands, knowing nothing of the lions who live there and the plague they carry, seeking only a safe place to rest and recover, and cannot go any further due to her injury. That weakness makes her susceptible to the disease and will keep her there in the end.

Mittere is not one to sit still and accept things as being beyond her control, and she will not allow some illness to rule her life. She may submit to the pride's laws preventing her from leaving, but she will not sit around waiting to die. There were many things she didn't have time for due to the fighting, and so she might as well do them now - mate, kids, and other gentler aspects of life. It won't be an easy time for her, but her determination will see her through.

Reasons why the rank would fit them? Immune
Personality?: Stoic and steady, this large male can sometimes be mistaken for being a little dim or slow.. in reality he is an intelligent and swift-minded individual. The main reason he is mistaken as less able than he is, is the fact that he has a reserved and quiet personality, rarely speaking outside of what is required though when he does is is as polite and as soft-spoken as can be. A true gentle giant, his secret pleasure is watching the cubs at play, and when he gets a few are hours off-duty, he will go down and sit among the cubs, letting them crawl all over him and chase his tail or bite his ears. He adores cubs, and will do anything he can for them. The chance to have his own cubs has been a secret desire of his for a very long time, but none of the lionesses in the pride have ever been interested in him, and being as reserved and as shy as he is, he has never tried to approach them. Though unbeknownst to him, there are many who would love to be courted by the hansom, powerful male.
Brief History?: Sliabh had always been much bigger than most of his pridemates, even as a cub he had been the biggest of the litter, though all were relativly small since their mother was a sufferer of the plague. As they grew, he was the only one who never showed signs of the sickness, growing into a leggy adolescent and then maturing into one of the biggest lions the pride could boast. Due to his robust health and large size, his parents nudged him into the role of guard and within a few short months he had completed his training and rose above his tutor in terms of ability and strength. Both solely (according to him) because he never got ill. Though in reality he is good at his job.

Sliabh is devoted to his pride and his role within it as a protector. He realizes just how vulnerable many of the ill pride members are and takes his job of protecting them seriously. Hes not completely convinced that its a good idea for him to abandon his post, and would much rather stay to protect the pride. But he is loyal above all else and the idea of disobeying his Queen never even crossed his mind. He will do as ordered, and will complete his mission with the same seriousness and respect that he holds for all aspects of his job.

Future:
Solid and dependable, he will go out on the mission given to him without complaint, though he certainly has no intention of 'goofing off' while away from the pride. He knows just how important new blood is to the pride and will be very strict in his criteria for any prospective mother to his cubs. As yes... he refuses to break up an existing family so will not be looking to cub-nap. Instead, he is going in search for a lioness (or several) who will willingly and knowingly agree to birth cubs for him to take back to the pride. He refuses to lie about his task and so any female who agrees will know exactly what he plans, though he may or may not divulge just what pride it is he belongs to.
