(I'm guessing with some of this information because Yahoo search, wikipedia, and ask.com didn't tell me which tide is active when...)



The roar of the waves was fading out back into the ocean and it's golden sky as the tide began to drive out from the shore again, leaving it's usual mess of seaweed, shells, and black seafloor silt. This debris was not alone, however, as the mass of wet fur was left to settle in the wet sand, atop a dark, thin piece of wood that was soaked through, and must have been what was used as the floatation device when the dark-feathered wings had failed, those same wings now laying sprawled half over the sand, half over the feline's bedraggled form.

A soft groan erupted from the creature as she began to wake, then slowly pushed to her paws, taking a long moment to examine her current state... Of drenched... Before she started working her way inland and out of the inter-tidal zone, a little clumsy from the experience, or perhaps still dizzy from it, as she sat in one of the many long shafts of warm, golden sun from the late-afternoon sky. She didn't yet seem interested in cleaning herself, but glanced in either direction along the beach for signs of life, pulling seaweed and various other obstructions off of, and out of, the many pieces of jewelry dressing her very wet figure.

The bedraggled fae looked up at Jack's voice. Her wings hung limp, the longest feathers giving the sand under them a soft bend while they dripped water into it and let the darkness of the wet sand expand outwards like water in a puddle. "Not particularly, but I don't remember most of it... I blacked out after I hit the water, my wings were so tired..." She gave a brief stretch before she began wringing the multitude of water from her tail with her paws. "Have I run aground somewhere safe, at least?"

Chirran leaned away from the pirate, her eyes shifting narrower as she stared at him. "Could you wait until my fur's not full of salt and I can get the taste of seaweed off my tongue before you start pushing buttons?" She asked, clearly a little irritated by Jack's manner. She slid back and out of his reach a little, returning to wringing out her tail. "I had to try... These strange beasts attacked my home with their... Strange little almost-chandra monsters on ropes and started killing and caging my people." She looked out over the water again, some small glint of hope in her eyes. "I just hope some of the others found safety..."

She looked Sideways at him through accusing eyes. "Yeah... Sure..." She grumbled, rolling her eyes and trying to push the salt out of the fur on her shoulders. "Better you and a bunch of rabid Chandra than whatever those things were..." She muttered, nearly ignoring him, now. She sighed as she gave up on getting the salt out of her fur for now and just gave a good shake to send the water over the nearby folliage, and Jack. "So... Are the denning spaces near here, then?"

Chirran took her turn at the eyebrow quirking, staring at Jack and his odd little ego. Despite their salt-laden dampness, her wings folded closer to her shoulders as she shivered some before standing to follow, now coated not only in wet salt, but in wet sand, on her hindquarters, as well. Oh, yes... She'd be having a nice long get-to-know with her tongue bath later. "... Um... I DID just get dragged through a tidal wave... I think..." She glanced at the water again and gave another shiver, this one less from the chill in her wet fur, before sprinting to catch up with the male.
