((Hoping for a bit of pup-rp for my girlie, Myris'ti)) Tail in the air, legs stretched, mouth widening in a large yawn, Myri greeted the morning. The young pup hadn't slept well after being told, last night, the story of the lake monster. A glimmering creature, with eyes are big as tree stumps and teeth as big as pups! It would gobble up any pups who strayed to close to the lake, they'd been told, so they should be careful not to tempt it close by running around in the waters at the shore or venturing deeper!
She hadn't slept badly because of the idea of a big monster eating her, though, she hadn't slept well because she was excited. She suspected, just a little, that the storyteller had been telling them fibs and wanted to find out. I mean, how did they know there was a monster if it ate all of the wolves who went into the deep water? Who had seen it? Were they sure it was a bad monster?
Teeny paws grasped the well-worn trail, tail helping to balance her descent, as she pootled down towards the lake.

Par'tari wasn't sure why he had followed his sister down towards the Lake - he didn't really think the story they'd been told the night before was true, but why tempt things eh? Why go about trying to prove something wrong when there was a chance..slim though it was that it was true. Or maybe he was just being a bit superstitious.
In any case he'd decided to trail Myris'ti down to the lake, and by trail he meant sneak along behind her without her knowledge. Or at least that was the plan, when he tripped over a tree root and went skidding down the trail directly towards her with a yelp that plan was ...well pretty much done for. Not that Pra'tari had much time to think about that, he was far to busy envisioning the terrible death he was going to have when he hit the lake and got eaten by the mysterious lake monster as he rolled down the hill bearing down on his sister like a furry mudslide.

Intent on her task, Myri did not hear her brother behind her. In fact, so engrossed was she in plotting, that it wasn't until a tumbling ball of fur careened into her at high speed that she became aware that her brother was in fact 'here'.
'Here' now being.... on top of her. Legs splayed, everything feeling like it was up the wrong way, Myri was a little dazed for a minute. "UGH Paaaaar gettoff me!" she cried, trying two wriggle her way free. "What are you doing, anyway? Following me? Did mom send you" she almost whined the last part, sure her little trip had been found out. The last thing she wanted was for her plans to be curtailed.
"Jeeeez you're heavy! Oooof".

It hadn't taken long for Am'Arice to realize that two of her siblings had gone off, and not wanting to be one left out of any fun she quickly picked up their trail. As she followed the trail that lead down to the lake Am'Arice was quite curious as to what those two were up to. They couldn't be investigating to see if the monster was real would they? And if that was the case why hadn't they told her about it? Did they think she would tell their parents and get them in trouble? Absolutely not, Am'Arice would never tattle on her siblings if it meant ruining not only their fun but potentially her fun as well.
Easing her way carefully down the hill Am'Arice spotted her brother and sister piled up together, Pra'tari covered in mud. When she was finally close enough to talk to them without drawing attention to themselves from any nearby adult she spoke up. "What are you guys doing?" Coming to a stop not far from the two, though her eyes did move in the direction of the lake for the moment.

He didn't plan on watching the group at first, trotting aimlessly in their direction with ears poised and a half-hearted desire for some company--beside his family. But it ended up that way, Meinrad's golden eyes hidden craftily behind dying foliage that had already turned a banana yellow color. He watched with peaking interest, taking in every movement and motion the puppies made.
And even when he thought he should enter the scene, his bottom planted itself further against the soil. His mother taught him something as of recent weeks that all but left his thoughts. She was a fascinating storyteller, reminiscing of a life she had lived as well as lives others seemed to have lived in the past. She told her sons "If you ever plan on having children of your own one day, know the world. Know it to the best of your ability so as to teach your children of it, and to tell them tales so grand...that they almost seem a silly lie! And when they start to grow up and refuse to believe you anymore, then tell them more!"
Meinrad wanted to tell stories; he wanted to learn of this world just as his mother had and to do that he had to witness it. So he would wait until the right moment, perhaps after the group had settled a bit, before his lightly colored paws would press against the mush of a sandy riverbed.

"Augh!" the young female exclaimed, glaring now at her sister, who seemed to have appeared from nowhere as Myri had untangled her limbs from her brother's. She wasn't really angry at them, she loved her siblings, just annoyed - she had planned to come here alone and investigate, now she would have to be worried about them messing things up!
She completely failed to notice the paler pup - she had never seen other pups in this area and unless her other brother hadn't decided to stay in bed, she didn't expect to see any more. Turning to her siblings, she eyed them critically. She grinned, slowly, as a plan came into her mind. She hadn't actually thought of how she was going to see if the monster was real before heading this way, assuming inspiration would strike and it had.
"Well, if you're here now, you can help me!" she announced, happily, looking from Pra'Tari to Am'Arice.

"sorry! sorry!" Pra'tari apologized, trying to wiggle out of the way while his sister righted herself. He busied himself with trying to clean the mud from his fur as Am'arice joined them - which he didn't find all that surprising, if he'd noticed his sister leaving then it stood to reason that his other sister would as well.
"Mom didn't send us" He told his sister once he's managed to get his coat a bit cleaner "But...help you with what exactly?" He asked somewhat suspiciously, if she was worried about mom sending wolves after them then she had probably planned to do something they weren't supposed to. Maybe she wasn't just going to the lake - but had some other hijinks hidden in her fur.

Tyr'azi hadn't intended to spy on his siblings. Honesty was supposedly best, but he liked to know what was going on before he entered a situation. And, in this case, it seemed to have benefitted him greatly. As he trailed in Am'Arice's wake, far enough back that he wouldn't intrude on her personal space in any sense of the word, he contemplated just joining and thought better of it.
Instead, he trailed around to the side, giving his siblings wide berth as he trotted through the underbrush. His steps slowed as a light patch of fur stood out against the dying underbrush, and on paws as soft as he could manage he crept up on it.
Another pup, one he hadn't seen, and definitely not one of his siblings. The stranger appeared to be assessing the situation to, and Tyr'azi straightened his shoulders, holding his head high so he would have some extra height on the pup as he inspected him almost suspiciously with his bi-colored eyes.
"What interest do you have in my siblings?" His voice carried at a normal volume. The time for silent perimeter watching-- that was what he had been doing really, right?-- was over.
