Hinekiri woke up early and exited the den that she shared with her siblings, they were all adolecents now but just barely. She knew that soon her siblings would be moving out on their own, and going about their lives, and she woul be alone again. Then again she had felt alone an empty since she had lost her mom and Kana.

The bright lioness shook her head trying her best to shake the negative thoughts from her head, something she had been trying to do since she had come from this place and had yet to succeed. The bright lioness made her way to the edge of the pride, looking out into the savanah where she had travelled before, she wondered what else might be out that, or who.

Eztil was bored, and wandering the edge of his lands. He had an itch to scratch that day, with the naive leopardess quickly beginning to irk his nerves, and even worse the lioness who had caught his interest and found her way with others... but he wasn't through with her yet. And he would find a way to have her, like he would have everyone else.

"What to do today..." He wondered, hoping he would come across... some way to get out all of his irritation. The problem with leading a pride was that he couldn't take violent action against one without catching the attention of many. He needed to... outsource, as it were.

As Hinekiri sat at the edge of the her pride, she tried her best to keep her thoughts away from her mother and the lonliness that now overwhelmed her orange eyes scaned the horizion. Hinekiri wasn't any sort of security for the pride, she was after all a very pitite lioness, but it was good to look anyways.

As she scanned she spotted a tan lion moving not to far in the distance. Hinekiri cocked her head and watched him move, she didn't know all the lions in the pride by any mean but she was fairly certain that the lion she had spotted didn't belong to her new home, she was intrugided but cautious at the same time.

He saw her around the same moment she saw him. A pretty blue lioness, though quite young. Not his usual he supposed, but these days he wasn't picky, so he supposed that she would just have to do for now, wouldn't she? Desperate times called for desperate measures.

"Well... hello there." He said, completely friendly when he approached her, turning on his every possible charm. There was no need to make this unpleasent, though if it came to that, he supposed it didn't matter. They were far enough away from his pride that they would never know anyway.

Hinekiri felt her lips stretch into a smile, it had been awhile since she had really smiled, the young lioness had no idea what the male had in mind for her, she was rather niave about the ways of males. Hinekiri didn't really understand why this lion was making her happy, but she felt that he was the first person to talk to her who didn't have to in such a long time, most found that she was far to much of a owner.

"Hello there" she said in a small sweet voice, she fell completely for his fake charm. "My name is Hinekiri, who are you?" she asked.

"My name is Eztil." He said, giving her a sweeping bow, and a charming wink while he was at it. Girls tended to love a charming rogue, when it came down to it, so why not? After all, she seemed trusting enough. Perhaps this would be easy on both of them, and there would be no problem at all.

"I didn't expect to find someone so lovely out here." He mentioned pleasently, smiling brightly and taking a seat, "Are you traveling?"

Hinekiri bowed her head in modesty, she had never been called beautiful before. She knew it was true she had the pelt of her beautiful mother but still it was nice to hear. "No no I am not a traveller, my home is not far from here." she turned and looked behind herself. Home.... was that even the right word for it, it was the place that she lived her family except her mother was there, but without her mother, she wasn't sure she could really consider it a home.

"How about you. Is are you a traveler or do you live somewhere close to here?" in all honesty Hinekiri wasn't even sure that the lion standing before her wasn't a member of the pride that she was.

Eztil grinned widely, liking where this was going. She was easy enough to trick into getting what he wanted. Intelligence was wasted on youth, really. "It's lovely, to live close. I live... nowhere. I come and go as I please, most of the time." He admitted, at least giving her that. And, well, it was mostly true. Except that for now, only for now, he did have somewhere to stay.

"I like the travel though... except it can be so lonely." He mentioned, feigning sadness. Or depression. Whatever she chose to take it as, he could really care much less about that kind of thing. "I do miss talking with other creatures at time, but I do love to be on the move."

should wonder with him not permenatly just for a little while give him someone to talk to. She of all creatures could understand loneliness and how much it sucked. The bright blue lioness hadn felt lonely since her sister and mom had died.

"Perhaps I could walk with you for awhile?" Hinekiri purposed. "I would have to come back here though, I can't be gone long other would worry." or at least she thought others would worry, perhaps her father, or siblings would wonder where she had gone.

Eztil chuckled a little, happily grinning at the lioness. Naive fools were far too easy to come by in the long run. He loved them when they were like that. It was much easier when he didn't have to worry about tangling himself up in so many lies... but keeping track had never been his weak suit. And he never could get away from the little lies he loved to tell.

"I would love to walk with you my dear. I should love to be seen with someone so lovely as you, should I be seen at all." He mentioned kindly, hoping she wouldn't be scarred off. Some were flattered by compliments, but some were scarred off, especially if they weren't used to it. But he could recover, he had no doubt.

Lucky for Hinekiri her brightly colored fur hid her blushing, or atleast she hoped that it was. "Well then a walk it it." she said a giddly little tone to her voice. She was being kind of girly her former self coming through. It was like for a moment she was being able to forget that her mother was gone forever.

"Where are we going?" the lioness asked. She was naive and didn't have a single clue that she might be getting herself into trouble.

The older lion smiled down at her, "Oh, nothing special my dear. I only thought we would take a nice little walk together. That seems like a nice idea, don't you think?" Easy, the further he got her away from home, the more likely it was that he would get what he wanted.

And she seemed to be falling for his trap hook line and sinker, which was just what he liked to hear really. "I suppose I'm just looking forward to spending someone as kind hearted as you are. It's nice to know there are caring lionesses in this world..."

Hinekiri smiled pleasently as she trotted beside the older lion. The day she was nice, and for once she didn't fell completely and utterly lonely. Perhaps this new lion could be her new friend. He may not live in the pride, but if he was in the area maybe they could meet up again and again. A secret friend that no one else would know about.

"So Eztil tell me more about yourself. Some one who has travelled so much must have stories to tell." she wondered about those creatures who wonderer the savanah, as she has always belonged to a pride a home with her family.

Ah, talking about himself. Always the trick in these kinds of situations, "Ah... I'm afraid my story isn't the happiest one. I've seen the world... I used to travel with my sister and her mate but... well, they died... a while ago. I've been alone ever since. I'm afraid I can't quite bear to be with... anyone anymore. Losing her was..." He trailed off, letting her attach whatever emotion she wanted to that.

Playing the dead sister card was the easiest, mostly because it was the truth, and thus it was easiest to run with. That, and it was much easier to add on the emotion because most of it was fairly genuine. Except in this case, he was only using it to abuse her trust. So damn easy if you were open with people and spilled all of your darkest secrets. The trick was to make sure those secrets didn't mean anything to you anymore.

Hinekiri felt her feet freeze beneathe her. She was turly amazed, this lion must be some kind of a kindered spirt. She found it hard to fight her tears back, she couldn't beleive the links that they had. "I know how you feel. Before I came to the pride you just found me out I lived in another. It wasn't to far away but it was with my mother. I was the only one of my siblings that got to go with her. I looked exactly like her almost. It was such an honour to be with her. But when my older sister went missing my mother went looking for her, and well .... they were both dead." she ended her little story quite abrubtly no longer able to fight the tears back.

Her movement forward had competely stopped, and she sat slumped over. She was sure that the lion who stood before her would comfort her some how, she just knew that he was a good guy. She was very happy that they had met.

Eztil stopped, sitting next to her and wrapping a paw around her shoulder, "Oh my dear... I am so sorry to hear that. I feel your pain..." Except he couldn't stand these sob stories, no matter what his voice said to the contrary. It was like opening the emotion-door always meant whoever he spoke to had room to dump all their crap on him. Oh well though, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

"I am so sorry for your loss... to feel as though your family..." Eztil sighed, drawing out whatever emotion he could think of. Whatever came to mind really. Any feeling he could get out would do, "I wish there were some way I could make you feel better, but even I... don't know that."

Hinekiri smiled at the kindess that the older lion was showing her. It was so nice to have someone who understand her pain. No one in her family really did, her father hadn't been her mother's mate, and none of her biological siblings had really known their mother. "Its ok Eztil I understand that there is probably nothing that can make me feel better.

The brightly coloured line rose to her feet again, ready to go on in their little walk. She wasn't sure of where it would end. But she did know that she trusted Eztil.

Eztil smiled a little, offering his paw to her, "Come with me... I have some idea of what may help you feel better, if only for a little while... a way to comfort each other." All to easy. Some people fell so easily into these kinds of traps, and they were his favorites. It was only on occasion that he felt the urge to have a real challenge.

Today was not one of those days, as he led her into a cave he had seen earlier. Yes, he liked it when things were simple sometimes...
