 Aika was adventuring this day, hanging out in trees. being near the birds that shared her love of the sky she couldn't get to~ the beads of her necklace made a sort of chime like music as the wind tussled the trees. the little cellphone at her throat beeping to the tune. This was fun, but...she was getting tired!
Like a hummingbird, Aika had little wings and could move much faster than the average bird, or wind. But that also meant she needed more energy than them as well! She jumped awkwardly out of t he tree and surveying the forest, looking for a fruit tree, a large expanse of sweet grass a large flowering bush, something!
Then...THERE~!!
Between the canopy of green that made up the forest, a bright flash of color, orange~ and what looked for all the world like a GIANT FLOWER~!!
She trilled happily and went for it, splashing down in a small stream, not far from where she had seen the orange flower...she looked here and there, tucking her little wings in so not to get caught on any branches
She clopped musically in the general direction she had seen the color, humming to herself. Food food fooood~

He had wandered a good distance from his camp today. He was normally a night walker, but for some reason couldnt sleep today. The day was warm, almost too warm to his liking so he stayed in the deeper areas of the forest, almost near the mountains, and certainly close to the streams.
He was yawning wide, annoyed he couldnt sleep, and otherwise just wandering before he decided to lay himself down in a rather shallow, but wide stream. It was surprising how much he loved land and water considering he could fly higher than most.
For a moment his ear flicked with what almost sounded like music, and something different than what a bird would produce. He couldnt place what the sound was at all, perhaps he was too tired tho, or maybe it was the water playing tricks on his ears. His wings flopped to his side and he lay his head down so his dark pink hair could cover most of his face. The cool flowing water actually felt so good against him, he just purred deeply as a smile spread across his lips slowly.

Aika cantered through the trees, finding it a rather beautiful place. Good weather for a good snack! she decided and followed the water through the foliage, the trees and bushes in the area now in full bloom. It was nice, maybe they would make for a appetizer...but she wanted to find that orange~!!
She chirped quizzically and peered through a giant hanging bunch of wisteria and gasped...there it was~!!
It seemed kind of strange for a flower, while vibrant it was growing in a strange place, well, it WAS near water. She looked closer and noticed other smaller flowers growing on this one. SCORE~
She smiled and tossed her little mane, causing her jewelry to jingle as she walked up to her prize, sniffing one of the smaller flowers curiously...
It wasn't until she was about to take a bite when she realized...the flower was breathing o__o
She took a few steps back and tilted her head, chirping another note..." errrrr....hello?"

He had finally dozed off a bit in the cool water when he heard someone speak, his ears perked and he opened an eye, his head lifting a bit as the water ran down his chin and his neck. He stretched a bit, his wings starting to flare out as he shifted to where he heard the voice. 'Hello?' he asked back, a little disoriented for the moment as he was just waking up.
Finally he saw the young mare who was staring at him, she seemed a little taken back at his presence and he offered a small chuckle. 'Ah ahaha... Hi there. Sorry, I was just taking a nap in the water. Odd as that might sound. And how might you be?'
He was still blinking a bit to clear his vision, she blended so perfectly with the green foliage around them it took a moment to focus completely on her.

Aika was feeling two things at the moment,
one, it wasn't a flower afterall~!! it was a very VERY bright winged stallion. And he seemed friendly enough.
and two, well there went lunch...
She tucked her little wings in and chirruped at him " taking a nap in the water?" she smiled " how curious indeed~!!" she laughed musically "it is kind of warm around here, i dont blame you~!!" She wiggleed her nose " well i was originally looking for lunch, but my lunch turned out to be a stallion instead~!!" She flicked her tail, beaming at him "Well while we're here~ my name's Aika~ nice to meet you?"

Well this one was certainly lively enough, however, when she said that he was intended to be her lunch he couldnt help but to chuckle. 'I was going to be your lunch, hm?' he looked her over a bit, 'you think you could eat something as large as myself?'
He finally stood, shifting his massive form and spreading his wings. Not to show off, but merely to stretch and yawn wide. His bones made a faint popping sound as they shifted and he rolled his shoulders a bit before looking down to her, shaking some hair from his eyes.
'Im Requiem,' he nodded, 'And it is nice to meet you as well. Im sorry to have ruined your thoughts on lunch, though.'

At his remark, Aika just COULDN'T help herself, and nearly exploded into a cacophany of chirps and trills of laughter. " Oh~ haha~ no no~ i thought you were a big flower~!!" she exclaimed~ " it takes a lot of energy for me to fly, and flower nectar is good for such things~" she tried to get ahold of her giggling as she was proably making him a little weirded out at this point.
She watched as he stood and she had to focus on keeping her mouth shut " WOW, you're big~!!" she wiggled her nose and the cellphone at her neck beeped in agreement.
" Requiem huh? that's a nice name~ hah, and it's fine about the lunch~ there's plenty of things to nibble on down here!"
To emphisize the fact she took a delicate bite out of a hanging white wisteria. " like candy~" she cheeped ^^
" so what were you doin down here Requiem? besides napping and looking like a giant flower" she smiled against the bubbles of laughter still hangin around in her.

He eyed her over a bit, nodding as she spoke. Indeed she did seem a bit like a hummingbird really. He had never run into someone with so much energy, or that wasnt just staring at him because of his size and color, which most younger ones did. At least this one talked a little. He couldnt help but to chuckle at her amazement tho and her comment, his ear flicked a bit at the phone around her neck, tilting his head to look at it.
'What is that?' he asked in between her own questions.
Looking back up he shook his head as he yawned again. 'Ah.. I normally am awake during the nights and I sleep during the day. I couldnt seem to really get any rest so I came to lay in the water a bit,' he nodded to the stream around them. 'Its cool and calming, sometimes it keeps my mind quiet so I dont stay up hours thinking.'

Aika peeped back at him in amusement "something sweet" she responded, tilting her head " so a nightwalker huh? i'd understand on a day like this though~ it's pretty warm~!!" she exclaimed~ " i was walking around earlier, right under the sun, i would have cooked~" she stepped gingerly into the water and settled there, a big grin on her face " that's nice~" she flicked an ear " thinking too much when you're trying to get some rest~? that's tough~" she twittered.

Requiem was still amused by her energy, nodding as she seemed bright at least, getting easily what he was referring to. He motioned his head a bit to the cell phone around her neck.
'What is that?' he nudged it a bit, curious to what the little thing with lights was that seemed to have a personality of its own.

Aika arched her neck to eye the strange device at her throat which was now making a bell like din at being recognized. " Ah, that~ that's something my father gave me..." she blinked at it, wondering if it would stop anytime soon " Mom gave it to me as a birthgift when i got out of my basket, it does this sometimes" she laughed musically " it almost has a life of it's own, i do not know what magic controls it, but it doesn't bother me so much" she peeped.

Nudging it even more to see if it responded to movement, he pulled back finally deciding it did and he chuckled again. He was quite amused actually and had never seen a trinket of a sort. He finally shifted and stood his entire height as he yawned again and looked around.
'You were saying it was food you were looking for?'

The little device made a disgruntled buzzing noise followed closely by a few dings after the stallion pulled back. As if it noticed it was being admired. Aika shh'ed it and fluttered her little wings " yeah, it's interesting for sure~!!" she peeped, looking at the stalion with admiratoin " food? yes, yes yes, i was looking for food~ i traveled a long way ya see...and well, little birds need more sugar than most!" she trilled cutely, her purple eyes wide and shining at the prospect of munchies~ " do you know of a good place to find some fruit?"

Requiem blinked a bit, ears flicking to the sound of the phone, unsure really what to make of it. It seemed just as vocal and upbeat as it's wearer though.
His look softened once she started to talk about food and he chuckled again at how lively she was. Ah to be young again, he thought. He couldnt help to give another yawn, completely relaxed as he nodded. He looked over his shoulder and past the stream they were in. "Over there, is a nice meadow with lots of fruit and greens," he nodded. "Probably more than you could eat in one sitting. If you want, I'll join you before I have to get back to my own home," he added. He was indeed hungry, and for some reason, her energy didnt help that, not that he minded.

Aika peeped curiously at him " you seem tired, i'm sorry if i disturbed your nap~" she flicked an ear and managed to look a little downtrodden before he mentioned a meadow of fruit. Her ears, and spirits were immediatly raised and her violet eyes glittered " oh goody~!!" she exclaimed, trilling in excitment and causing all the birds in the area to respond in like. She turned in the direction he indicated, her little wings unfurling and stretching " you will join me then?" she smiled happily, company was nice. " Even if it's just a little while i'd be happy to join you Requiem." she chirped happily and the phone at her throat immitated the noise.
" Where is "home" for you?" she asked, knowing that home for him must be vastly different and far more colorful than the field she lived on with her mum.
