I don't think I'll ever do a "post on page __" contest again for a while. Yesterday I posted ten, ten straight pages a good while before the nearest prize, which was a small one. I left after that, figuring I had already won a small prize, somebody else deserves it. Then, when it reached the prize, someone who hadn't posted before ((that I saw, which was a lot of pages)) comes out of the blue and tries to take it. They post once, and wound up being second on the page. And left. This alone annoys the hell out of me: People who take advantage of other peoples work and don't even hang around afterwards. I could understand if they just logged on and wanted to post. No, this person didn't even bother posting more than once. Then, I came back about 7 pages later, and started posting with everyone else who was there. This was about 20 pages away from the major prize, the final one, the biggest one. And then, someone who hasn't posted in forever just comes in and steals it. And Roland would have freaking won the prize.
