Zulian prowled. He was angry, lost, and confused. Ever since leaving his homeland of Azeroth he had been in a near constant agitated state and it was only getting worse. A low and persistent growl had started up in the back of his throat and showed no evidence of leaving. He shoved his way past the low-hanging branches of a tree and continued stomping along.

Twilight had just fallen and darkness sharpened the edges of the forms around him. This was just fine for Zulian. His glowing eyes had always seen better in darkness than in light. He snapped his teeth as he continued to stalk forwards. He needed to find someone to tell him the way back to Azeroth. He needed to find someone to tell him where his rider Thekal had gone. If they weren't cooperative... well, Zulian was also starting to need a meal, too.

The lake waters shifted calmly under the gaze of the stars and moon sitting out of reach in the sky. The only movements ever scene were the ripples created by the long locks of the weeping willows, and those of the fish and bugs that swam and glad both above, and below, the mirror of the water.

One would call such a scene peaceful, but those who knew better would call it nothing but a mirage, for they knew what lurked in the depths of the lake, waiting, just waiting for a chance to pull something under.

Adalinda skimmed the surface of the lake, her back spines and tail breaking the surface to give away her current location.

She was in the middle of a meal, a fish she had caught not too long ago, but she didn't have the mind set to eat at the moment. Something had caught her attention, another presence, but this one was unlike others. This one seemed dark in a sense, angered, annoyed. It could just be someone having a tantrum, but no, she could feel it was more than that.

With eyes glowing brighter from curiosity, the kelpie quickly slid the fish down her throat before she dipped back in to the lake, her tail whipping around as it rose and slipped under water to create a slight splash and a ripple effect.

The moment that Zulian reached the edge of the lake he was immediately on guard. His intuition knew that there was something more than fish in the water even if he couldn't puzzle out where or what it was quite yet. His eyes scanned the surface of the water, searching for whoever might be disturbing its placidity.

There! A splash! Unless these strange lands had fish of bizarre and giant sizes, he wasn't alone.

"You!" he called through the silence. "You. You. You." His voice was hoarse and more like a rasping growl than a shout. "Where are you? I know you're there and I'll find you if you don't come out. I always find everyone. I know you're there. I could smell you if you weren't in the water. I could bite you if you weren't in the water too." The last sentence was added as an afterthought to a rambling tirade. Zulian had no ability to hold back the flow of words.

Adalinda couldn't help but let out a dark chuckle as she floated around in the expansion of water. The stallion sure was quick to point her out and find out what she was, but she had to wonder, would he like the answer should would give, if she even chose to give it? Well it didn't seem like that mattered much since he seemed intent on getting his answer one way or another if she wasn't going to give it herself.

"Me? Are you talking to me Kitty?" Kitty, she sure was pushing her luck with in the first "greeting". Grinning, her eyes glowed and shined through the dark waters to give away her current location.

"My my. Don't you seem like a talkative and harmful one.Well I am me, and being me I own this lake you are standing near at the moment, and I must say, I could very well bite you too and drag you to a water grave if I wanted to get close enough, but for now I push that thought away, for now."

The mare floated closer to the surface and ever so slowly raised her muzzle to take a breath before she ducked down again. "If you are so intent of finding out what I am, then you are going to have to come here, or I am going to have to go over there, and I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon, is it?"

Zulian growled wordlessly and glared into the murky depths of the water. He might not mentally function like a normal soquili but he wasn't stupid. He had taken a step away from the water when she spoke of drowning him and he didn't like the idea of getting any closer. He paced along the shore far enough out that he estimated he would have time to react to an attack. His blue eyes seemed to leave glowing trails in the darkness as he moved.

"I'm not coming over there," he hissed while prowling. "You said you'd drown me and I'm not going to let you do that. You're sneaky. I don't trust you."

His movements were restless and slightly erratic in the way that he would turn one way and then another in his pacing. "You will bring your head above water and talk to me. You will."

The mutant kepli smirked at the skinwalker's words. If anything, though she knew the danger such a creature as himself could pose to her, she still found him amusing and interesting in a sense. Maybe she wouldn't kill him. Maybe she would just play around and keep him around to entertain her for a bit. Or maybe he would just become a threat and an enemy that she would just enjoy having around from time to time, even though he might think otherwise.

"Well for someone with so much rage hidden within them your intellect seems to still be working for you, so I'll give you points for that."

Adalina's broke the surface of the lake, her glowing eyes staring straight at the stallion. Her orbs shot out of the water and danced around in the air, as if they too had eyes of their own which could be used as an advantage for the mare.

"Now tell me skinwalker, what is it that you wish to talk to me about on this fine night?"

Zulian squinted through the darkness at the figure in the water. Something about the shape of her head was familiar. His eyes traced the prongs of her spines and webbing. He couldn't quite remember where he had seen something like that before, but the eyes were what reminded him. Glowing eyes! So many creatures from Azeroth had those same glowing eyes. She was also from his homeland!

He stopped his pacing abruptly and stared straight out at her. "You! You are from my home. Azeroth. I know you're from it because you have the fins on your head and your eyes."

He kicked up a little on his front legs in his restless excitement. "You! You can tell me how to get back to Azeroth. Thekal is there. I need to get back to Thekal. You haven't seen Thekal, have you? If you've seen him and don't tell me, I'll have to bite you."

Azeroth? Such a word had become so foreign, yet held much familiarity, to the mutant. She could barely remember the lands she used to call her home, the sights and sounds of her people and those which she viewed as her enemies, but just memories were just faded images. And this, this new land as her recent past, her present and most likely to be her future, for she learned long ago there would be no more Azeroth, and it was best to just let go of the world.

Closing her eyes and shaking her head, Adalinda gave a short sigh before turning her gaze back to the Mount spewing words her way.

"Oh Mount, I do not know whether to be amused at your predicament, or to feel a bit of pity towards you. I am sure you have come across and seen many things on your journeys, but I am afraid your time in Azeroth is no more."

Her tip of her massive tail lightly flicked in front of her before vanishing beneath the water.

"It is best you forget about that world, and the one you call Thekal, because you will never see them again beyond your memories and your dreams. Because if you haven't realized yet, and you will realize it soon enough, once you have entered this world there is no going back."
