"Take you wonder by wooondeeer~ Over sideways and under on a magic carpet ride!!" Echo sang happily as he spun through the newly leaved trees, a bright smile on the toddler's face. This strange phase of his was in full-swing at this point, and the fact that he was a spot-on, amazing singer only made him enjoy doing so even more. Of course, he had yet to find himself a good, suitable singing partner, so he wasn't really able to sing the duet properly. Not yet at least.
Not that it really mattered to the young nix. Regardless, he sung all of the parts of the song without feeling as though it was missing anything, causing young children he passed to fall into a trance, while women were stumbling accidentally, as though they'd momentarily lost his footing. It was still mostly only Matthew's knowledge that the boy was the one holding this power and, even so, he wasn't completely sure of the fullness of it, just that he was amazing at all things musical.
Let's not forget that, since that party, Echo had only removed his Aladdin costume to sleep, at which point his never-rested father would wash it for him as he studied his case reports deep into the night. Echo loved the fabric, how light and airy it was, along with the fact that the loose vest-top-thing practically wasn't a shirt at all. After a good amount of spinning, an off-balanced equilibrium swept the boy off his feet, causing him to fall on his back in the middle of a few strategically placed trees, though it didn't stop his singing. "A whole new wooorld~"

A day at the park with a newborn and a toddler wasn't exactly what Zee thought "rest" would include. Of course, nor did being woken up at three am each morning. Couldn't Leyla wait for a decent hour? Couldn't someone else let her feed off them while his red blood cells rebuilt? The tired elf slumped onto a bench, holding Leyla with one arm. "Go on Devin," he said with a yawn. "Go play." And maybe, maybe, he'd be able to take a nap. As long as Leyla didn't demand food--again. He had only shut his eyes for a moment when a voice hit his ears.
It was a nice voice, he supposed. He didn't notice Devin was making his way over to Echo. He seemed to be in a trance, compelled by the music. It was a familiar song; but that didn't come to mind just then. It was beautiful; and surely the singer was as well? He had to see.

"A new fantastic point-of-view!! No one to tell us no, or where to... go..." Echo's voice trailed off when he finally noticed the other boy who was walking toward him, tipping his head before he gave a large smile, pushing himself up off the ground and then hopping to his feet. He smiled at the newcomer, brushing a few stray pieces of grass off of his veil-like vest.
"H'llo!" he said happily with a sickly sweet smile to match his diet. His memories of what his musical talent did had faded already and he was completely oblivious to the previously hypnotized state of the other. "I'm Echo~ What'cha doin' here where there's no playgrounds or nuffin'?"

Devin shook his head once the singing stopped, and seemed to snap back to reality. "Daddy brought me to the park," he explained, studying the other boy. "He wanth to retht. He been thleepy." He gestured to the bench where his father was resting. "My baby there too. Thee?" The toddler wasn't about to attempt saying "sister".
"Wanna meet her?" he asked, with a smile and a tilt of the head. Golden eyes continued to study Echo; Devin had never met a boy like him. "You 'mind me of Unca Matth," he said vaguely.

Echo gently rocked to either side with the continuing music in his head, listening patiently to what it was that the other boy had to say with that same smile on his ghostly pale face. He nodded a couple times. "I know that; my daddy'th- er, my daddy's sleepy lots, too, but dat's 'cause he doesn't sleep 'cause he gots too much work t'do," Echo explained, sympathizing with the boy, but not quite understanding why going to the park was a good way to rest. But he wasn't going to complain - it meant that he had friends to meet now.
Echo stood on his tiptoes to look where the other boy was gesturing, seeing the small child, but only distantly. He honestly couldn't tell a lot about her from so far away, but that only gave him more reason to want to go along with the other to meet the little girl. "MmHmm, I'll go meet 'er," he responded sweetly, letting the other boy go ahead of him before he followed, still singing in his head and humming quietly whenever there was nothing better for him to be saying. At the final statement from the other toddler, he tipped his head. "Who's dat?"
