My cousin forced me to read the R/B/Y series because I argued him down that Ash was Red. Now I know better and I just finished the G/S/C series a few minutes ago. Completely Epic, I wish the story line was more like that. So many plot twist that I did not see coming, and the characters have so much personality as well. lol I began to read the R/S series, but sapphire completely makes me not want to read it at all... Out of curiosity have any of you read the manga? And be honest. Do you think Red is Ash?

I read all the mangas series and currently at the D/P series and no, Red is not Ash/Satoshi because Red is based off from the Pokemon R/G/B/Y version main character and has an official starter, and has more battle experiences and puts it into more use. Ash/Satoshi is based on the same character but with little knowledge, has a Pikachu, doesn't seem to age, doesn't come into great danger, and doesn't have a lot of roles of actually defeating major villains (like Giovanni).

Blue and Green give him their Blastoise and Charizard before he goes to Mt. Silver to heal himself.
