Kiran grinned cockily as he stared at the other Lunarian before him. He wouldn't have imagined his day turning out like this when he first set out to visit the Main Street to search for a birthday present for his sister. But his encounter with this snooty Legion follower had left him in a foul mood. Now he looked forward to a fight against this Lunarian and showing him not to look down on a Noble.

"If you want to see what I can really do, then come at me," Kiran taunted, slipping into a defensive stance in preparation for a fight. "I'll show just how brutal I can be." This man seemed to like that term well enough, though Kiran didn't see how he had been brutal at any point in their encounter.

Kiran felt a swell of confidence as he looked the man over. His opponent didn't look like much to him. He grinned and beckoned the man to come at him by curling and uncurling two fingers of his right hand.

Zhong furrowed his eyebrows and brought his hands up to chin level. His fingers were curled into tight fists and his eyes concentrated on the other before he slid another foot back on the dusty stone road. People were looking at the two of them and as a clearing formed around them the Lunarian frowned. He hated people noticing the more rugged side of his personality but with some one as brutal as this, it couldn't be avoided.

Drawing a deep breath from the murky air he lunged forward at the other and swung his foot hoping to meet it with the others legs. "Fall." he whispered.

Kiran moved when he saw the man coming at him. He jumped back out of the way of the sweeping kick. A tactic as simple as that wasn't going to catch him off guard. He had enough experience to avoid a move like that after getting into fights when he let his mouth run a little too much. But he hardly saw this fight as his fault. After all, if this other Lunarian hadn't made such a fuss about their run in, he wouldn't have argued back. He saw no blame on himself for this fight.

"Is that all you've got?" Kiran demanded, hoping for at least a little bit of a challenge in this fight. He slid a foot forward as his arms circled. Then he thrust an open palm forward toward the Lunarian's chest. He wouldn't fall to this Legion. He refused to fall to any Legion follower. His eyes narrowed at the man.

The palm of the others hand made contact the instant it was outreached toward his chest. Zhong attempted to dodge by swinging his hand to avert the Kiran's but only empowered the attack. With the force of contact the Lunarian reeled back and attempted to stable himself. A broken cough sounded deep in his chest and he met the other with hardened eyes. One strike sent him fuming, no matter what battle he might end up involved in.

Tugging on the lace around his waist the Lunarian quickly shed the band and his light-weight top before taking stance in front of the other. They were resistance to his fragile movement. With a smirk the Lunarian ran for the boy but jumped just before contact and grabbed onto a hanging sign post. "Catch me." he looked back and waved before leaping up onto the building roof.

It was his specialty to be an agile and tactical warrior. If the other could catch up to him, he would appreciate his opponent. However if the ill became of the challenge he knew instantly any small room for pride for the other would be diminished.

Taking stance upon an abandoned shop rooftop he awaited his challenger. He was high enough and on a great enough slope that it would provide a challenge for anyone who hadn't been trained on such terrain.

A smirk slipped onto Kiran's face when his attack connected, quick and precise, like Uncle had taught him. Zhong's attempt to block it had done little to diminish the power of his attack. He waited for the next attack, ready to counter anything that Zhong might throw at him. When Zhong came at him again, Kiran moved in preparation to dodge or block. But he hadn't expected the man to leap over him.

Kiran's right eye twitched as he watched Zhong climb to the roof top. "You're greatly mistaken if you think I'll be stopped by something like that!" he called up to Zhong, hoping the man didn't think he had won any type of victory in moving to higher ground.

He leaped to the hanging sign post, copying the same path Zhong had taken to the roof top. Kiran was an expert climber after spending many years climbing not only trees but buildings and mountains as well. Zhong wouldn't be able to escape him that way.

"You won't slow me like this," he told Zhong as he landed on the roof top. He was used to fighting on a flat terrain. But he wasn't going to let the angle of the slope stop him. At least, he hoped he could still attack well enough on this roof top.

Shifting his feet around to support the roofs strong incline Zhong stared at the other. The scales on his skin still had a stronger red color and his eye brows remained furrowed in disgust as he overlooked the other. Zhong was able to gather that Kiran was sufficient in fighting on buildings but his stance lacked the support that was needed on a rooftop.

Sliding his foot backwards the Legion flung himself towards his opponent. His body pushed off the ground and over Kiran before turning and swinging a backwards kick towards the other's back. It was a risky move providing that Zhong hadn't established his footing but he hoped to catch the other off guard. Doing that would enable some unbalance and possibly the others fall.

Zhong knew the end of the battle wouldn't be because of a fall but because of one of them giving up to the other, or an injury of some sort.

Kiran followed Zhong's movements and twisted around to block the attack. But he lost his footing on the awkward rooftop. Zhong's foot swung toward him as he tried to steady himself in a crouch. It connected, knocking him back on the rooftop.

Kiran gritted his teeth as he got back to his feet. Turning to face Zhong, he glowered at the man. He was too angry at his own error to throw a barb at the man. He knew he should have been more cautious on the unfamiliar terrain. But he had let Zhong throw him off balance and land the hit. He wouldn't be making that mistake again. One hit was all he would allow this man.

His footing was a bit better now, his body unconsciously finding where best to stand as he directed his rage at Zhong. Rushing toward the man, Kiran swung his arm around, aiming for a well place hit at the ribs.

A split second after his own attack Zhong was thrown out of his comfort zone. Kiran was a front-end fighter and that challenged Zhong to fight out of his norm, as did Bataar. Scowling at the other a quick hand pushed aside the fist but it was too late. Already the boy had connected another punch and with an attack to the ribs the Lunarian flew back into the lip of a higher roof.

Groaning he attempted to re-establish himself but instead slipped by his first step and fell to the ground below. In a hoarse cough the Legion attempted to clear his vision but only worsened it with the smearing of blood over his eyelids. Groaning he pushed himself up and listened for the footsteps of Kiran.

If he couldn't see he would have to rely on hearing. Side-stepping into the center of the street Zhong attempted to isolate all forms of noise that might corrupt his ability to hear. He could not get hit another time, yet risk a broken limb.

When he saw the other man fall to the ground below, Kiran wasted no time getting off the awfully angled rooftop. He moved to the edge of the rooftop, careful not to misstep and risk falling. If he fell like Zhong had, it might cost him the win to this battle. He wouldn't let victory fall to his enemy because he made a second mistake. Reaching the edge of the rooftop, he leaped to the ground and landed with an almost catlike grace. He was used to jumping from high rooftops like that one, when he was in a hurry or simply too lazy to scale back down the building.

Facing the man again, Kiran noted the blood smeared over Zhong's eyes. He smirked at the advantage that could provide for him. He rushed toward Zhong, wanting to put a quick end to this battle. When he neared Zhong, Kiran stomped his left foot onto the ground. He brought his right foot up as he twisted around then aimed a kick at Zhong's chest.

Mistake two. Lifting his arms up the Lunarian blocked the kick and stumbled back a few steps. His breaths were unsteady and the balance on his legs were off. Zhong was losing the battle, and it had become obvious. He no longer had the strength or energy to maintain his form against his opponent. Attempting to listen for the other's footsteps he side-stepped himself. In order to turn this body around he would have to strike Kiran's weak-point, which happened to be unknown to Zhong.

Although the Legion knew this battle was long lost, his pride forced him not to give up. Taking a deep breath he sensed the presence of the other not too far from him. This would have to be the final attack- or else he would end up in bed for weeks.

Stepping back the Lunarian grunted and rushed forward, freezing just before he got to the other, and gave one final onslaught of attacks.

It was over.

Kiran felt the kick connect, but he had failed to land it exactly where he wanted. Zhong had blocked the kick, saving him from receiving the full brunt of the kick's power. Lowering his foot, he placed it a step behind him as he watched the other Lunarian stumble away from him. He had hoped to finish this fight with that kick. But it seemed that saving block had resulted in prolonging the battle, even if it were just for one more attack.

Kiran snorted, carefully observing Zhong's movements. He could see clearly that the blows he had landed took their toll on Zhong. The one hit that Zhong managed to score on him hurt, and Kiran expected it to bruise something fierce, but the blow had done nothing to weaken Kiran. It was nothing more than a throbbing that fueled his anger at Zhong.

His mother would be angry when she saw the bruise. She never liked when Kiran started a fight, but she couldn't stop her son from letting his mouth run and provoke other Lunarians. And this certainly wasn't the first time his mouth had gotten him into a fight like this one.

Then Zhong rushed at him. Kiran bent his legs and extended his arms before him. He blocked has many punches and the few kicks that he could. The onslaught was more than he would have expected from the weakened Lunarian. He could deflect every punch or even dodge them all. Zhong was certainly no slowpoke when it came to swift movements. Kiran wasn't either, but when he ducked one punch, a second punch scored.

Staying on the defensive wouldn't get him anywhere. Kiran grunted as another punch glanced the side of his head, hit about the same spot where Zhong's earlier kick had scored. He slid his front foot between Zhong's legs and hooked it around Zhong's left leg then drew it back toward him, hoping to offset Zhong's balance. When the next punch came at him, Kiran knocked it aside. Then he pushed forward, thrusting his elbow dead center at Zhong's chest.

The battery of attacks had worked to shift the tides of battle little in favor of Zhong. The Legion was running near on exhaustion and his cleared vision had done little to alleviate any worries he might have had about his loss. His own pairs of eyes had found the caked blood on his hands and the salty taste of it on his tongue to be taunting him, mocking him for being so weak.

Coughing up a bit of blood he spit it on the ground and took his pose just before he attacked again and missed. This time his own attacks were turned against him.

One could say it happened to fast, Zhong would admit it didn't happen fast enough. The moment his body had been caught off balance, time halted for the Lunarian. Catching a breath might have been his end for the moment he opened his mouth his chest was met with a rock hard attack.

With no will or energy left his body fell back and bounced against the ground before laying still. Blood oozed from his swollen wounds, and his limbs refused to act accordingly. Only a faint groan escaped his lips as a hazed fog encased his vision. Zhong felt no pain, as it had long since fallen away to exhausted. Instead, he groaned in what little rage he could keep burning.

'It is over, I have lost.'
he admitted as his head rolled back. Exhaustion and wounds had taken their toll on his body, and now, he rested.

Kiran fell back a step after his last blow. He watched with cold, angry eyes as Zhong fell back, landing on the ground with a thud. With the battle over, his concentration was no longer on what move to make next or waiting to see how his opponent would attack next. Aches and pains began to set in, making him feel almost as sore as he did after a training session with Uncle. The double hit to the same spot on the side of his head was going to leave the ugliest of bruises.

He relaxed out of his fighting stance then walked over to stand over Zhong. Usually, he would have some response to make, but words seemed to fail him at the moment. He had won the fight, like he had been so confident that he would. But now that it was over, he wondered why there was no happiness over his victory. He still felt a rage boiling inside him.

Any thought of finding a birthday present for his sister was lost. He wouldn't be able to focus on looking for something nice to buy when there was still this anger buzzing through his veins. He would have to return home empty handed and try to find something special another day. And that only made him madder. His fingers curled, his hands forming fists clenched so tightly that they began to ache.

Kiran shook his head and turned away from Zhong. The man was down, and he had won. There was nothing more to say or do. He folded his hands behind his head and started walking away, ignoring the stares of the people who had witnessed the fight.
