MILD SPOILER WARNING So I finally bought my PS3 and an FF13 with it. I went through chapter 1 for now and have come to this conclusion: LeBreau is Hot. I feel sad that she is not a main character. But man~ I thought there's something wrong with me for being not able to get over Quistis and Meliadoul, and now here's another one added to the list. On another note, here's my take on the game so far:I am not feeling the battle system yet. It has the feel of FFX-2's moving characters in the battlefield, and Chrono Cross's combo. Both are great, but I'm not feeling it yet though. There's this lingering feeling that is... not right... somewhere.
"I was a Soldier." I hope this is not spoiling anything. This line caught my attention greatly. the fact that the game starts in a train and the main character goes out with a black guy. (minus the hot chic) It really tickles the senses of those who played a certain Meteor vs Holy Final Fantasy title.
I HATE the camera controls. Maybe it's the small space in the first part of the game, but the camera is very inconvenient for me. On another note, maybe it's cause I'm playing with but a standard TV. But I hate the camera control so far.
Chocobo, the chicobo is hilarious. I am liking Sahz for owning one. I expect to use him more than any other character in the game. (Setting aside Lightning)
I do not find any point in the detection mode so far. The enemy detects you and they run to you and a battle begins. It's so MGS if you think about it, only... There is no way to sneak around. When you're in range, they run to you and that's it. There's no point to it. Unless, this is utilized in the near future. I just started playing after all. So anyways... To end my quick first impression thread, I'll say it again: LeBreau is Hot. (expletive expletive)

I am around chapter 4 now and this is what I think of the game so far:
-- I totally get the detection thingy now.
-- I still hate the map controls.
-- for a while I thought that monsters do not spawn back, but they do... So I can totally grind for the CP when I need to.
-- paradigm shift! heal heal! paradigm shift! oh shi! paradigm shift! get him get him! stagger! paradigm shift!
-- potion is heart
-- gil is very hard to come by. mainly because the loot are better used for upgrading IMO. Maybe I should just sell the phoenix downs. whee
-- upgrading is hell. xd
-- I liked how I am able to use everyone cos they split up a lot of times. At least, this way, other characters are not so wasted.
-- the music is okay. I can see they are trying to go with modern music in most cases which probably is the reason why N.U. isn't there. I give it a 3 out of 4.
-- I still need to get used to this gestault mode. (so for those who are already done with the game pretty much know where I am in chapter 4 now.)
-- My favorite role is Saboteur.
-- I do not like Vanille's voice actress. As a matter of fact, all the other VA's sound good except Vanille, IMO.
-- I still think LeBreau is hot. heart

Lil kupo-kun yeah shes pretty hot..i like her guns ;P get it? ...baahh nvm you enjoying the ps3 and the game pal? 3nodding I sometimes forget that I still have to look for a new job because of it. xd I am currently on Chapter 5, grinding with Hope and Lightning. Trying to upgrade their weapons. My overall take on the game is... it's good! There are things that need getting used to, but hey, it's a new game, it can't be compared to the other titles since it's its own game in its own right as any other titles should be. The game is well balanced and at least, every spell and abilities have their uses now; like, fire is still useful, even if fira is already available. It's well made contrary to other reviews. I guess they are just not that ready to accept change. sweatdrop

Aaaaand like any other FF games where I get addicted to leveling up materia (FF7), card mods and item refinement (FF cool , Tetra Master (FF9), Full Stat (FFTactics), Sphere Grid (FF10), Dress Sphere Mastery (FF10-2), Liscences and everything else (FF12) , I am now addicted to upgrading. I will never get out of Chapter 5 at this rate, but I can't help it!! @_@
