 Adrian walked through the forest, following the tracks some animal had left behind. He didn't care much what it was; he didn't expect to catch up to it, he was just bored. He wasn't looking at all where he was going, either, and it was kind of surprising he hadn't run into anything yet.

 Makoto was out in the forest that day with his sketch book, looking around at all the animals in the woods hoping to get inspiration for a new outfit he was going to sew up for himseld. Maybe something with spots would be nice..

As Adrian walked along, he didn't notice the faeelf up ahead. He walked right into him, and was so surprised he fell over. "Oh, I'm sorry!" He stood up and brushed himself off with a sheepish grin. "I wasn't paying attention... are you all right?"

"Yea I'll be fine, might need a new sketch book.." looks over and notices his book with all he had sketched so far had landed in a puddle "Well good thing was it was a new book so I didn't have much done... bad news was its a new sketch book.."

Adrian looked crestfallen. "Oh, I'm sorry... well, I guess I can fix that by buying you a new one? Hopefully the pages you've already used will be fine." He quickly fished it out of the puddle, carefully opening the first couple pages to make sure they didn't tear, spreading them out so they would dry. "What were you drawing?"

"Nah I probably have a few at home" nods "Hmm? well just trying to get some ideas for new outfits like this ones ok and all but I've also wanted something with like animal spots and all" nods.

"You like animal spots?" He looked at the sketches on a couple of the pages. "But does that mean you're looking for animals? I was just following a trail, my dad taught me how. Although it's an old one... I might be able to find some things for you to look at, though." He was pretty good at tracking animals when he was actually trying.

"Yea that be great!" smiles, maybe there was still hope for his outfit after all! "What kind of animal do yea think made the trail? Maybe one of those black and white rabbits? I like the spots on them, just need to figure out a way to copy it on to fabric..." because he would never use real fur, he liked the bunnies to much.

"No, the tracks are too big for a rabbit, see?" He brushed away some of the undergrowth to show where the animal's foot had made a good impression in some soft ground. "Based on the impression, I'd think it was probably a deer. But these are really old, we won't actually catch up to it. I could find you some rabbits, though. I think there's a warren near here."

Makoto shrugs "What ever you can find would be great" nods "its getting a bit late though... will they still be like, awake and all?"
Makoto looked up grinning. "Oh, then that's perfect! Rabbits are more likely to be awake at dusk than in the middle of the day." He stood up and brushed his hands off, before looking around. "Hm, I think it's... this way!" Actually he didn't have a clue, now that he thought about it, but he was sure they'd find something. If not rabbits, maybe a deer or fox.
Makoto picks up his sketches books, shaking tyhe wet one off and follows the other one, hopes he knows what hes talking about, as much as he liked them he'd never seen a wild rabbit before.
They walk on for a while, as evening sets in. Adrian realizes pretty quickly that although he knows the warren is nearby, he's not entirely sure where. He eventually starts noticing rabbit tracks, and manages to get a bead on which direction to go. It results in a really roundabout route, however, so that they reach the warren as the woods are getting dark. The regular sighs in relief as they finally get there. "Ah, here we are! Told you I'd find it," he says with a grin. A rabbit sticks its head out, nose twitching as it looks at the two.
"Oh my Gosh! Its like adorable!" Squees and find a dry sketch book at draw a picture of the little rabbit in front of them, making notes along the side.
Adrian grins, then holds a finger up to his mouth. "Be very quiet... I might be able to catch it for you." As carefully as he can, he starts to inch forwards. The bunny wiggles its nose again, and takes one hop out of the warren, apparently not noticing him.
Makoto eeps "No no I can see him just fine from here! No need to hurt him or anything!" nods, is almost done the rough sketch anyway.
Adrian shrugs. "All right then." He backs up to stand beside the other fae, and starts looking around as Makoto finishes his sketch. "There are probably more rabbits inside the warren, but I don't know that they'll come out while we're standing here... I might be able to find something else for you to sketch. Although it's starting to get dark, and that'll make it harder." He feels like he's paid the faeelf back for ruining the sketchbook, but he rather likes him. And Makoto was so excited about the rabbit, it would be fun to find other things to show him.
Makoto nods as he finishes up "Yea its like almost dark, its so not a good idea to be in the woods at dark right? Thats when the ghosts and stuff come out right, we should like wait till tomorrow or something, that is if you'll show around again" smiles
"Ghosts? I've never seen any ghosts in these woods." He just shrugs though. "Sure, it'll be easier to find things during the day. And I'll be glad to meet up with you tomorrow!" He smiles back. "Um, how about right here, do you think you'll be able to find your way back?"
Makoto looks around "Heh yea where not to far in to the woods I should be like able to see you tomorrow, but if you wanna walk me out of the woods that be awesome!" gives a thumbs up and smiles.
Adrian grins in response. "Sure, I'll be happy to walk you out. Maybe you can even show me where you live, and I can just meet you there tomorrow." He looks around to get his bearings, and then with a gesture for Makoto to follow him, he starts off towards the edge of the woods - this time sure of where he's going.
Makoto: "Oh right that makes sense!" giggles and nods.Follows him to the edge of the forest "Hmmm... this way!" Makes sure the others following him this time.
Adrian follows the faeelf once they get out of the wood. He keeps an eye around them, to make sure he knows where they are.

Adrian walked up to Makoto's home, feeling a little bit awkward. He wasn't really sure why he was so nervous, but at the same time looking forward so much to seeing the faeelf. Finally he took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
Mimi: "Hmm?" goes and opens the door blinking at the gray fae standing there "Oh hello! Can I help you?"
Adrian starts a bit in surprise. "Um, hi, I'm here for Makoto? We were going to go out into the forest to look for animals for him to draw." Was this the faeelf's mother, then? he wondered to himself.
Mimi: Giggles "Oh that does sound like fun! Alright let m go get him for you" runs off back into the house, Makoto showed up at the door a moment later.
Makoto: "Hey there!" had a few sketch book in his backpack and was ready to go.
Adrian grinned, and offered Makoto his paw. "Ready to go?" Not really waiting for an answer, he turned and headed towards the woods.
Makoto: Takes the other hand and follows him into the woods
As they started into the woods, Adrian was watching for any fresh animal trails. "So, what would you like me to find? Deer, more rabbits, birds?" He noticed a skunk trail, but decided to pass that up for now.
Makoto: "Ummm... what would look best if I copied it into a coat?"
Adrian thought for a bit. "Well... I think I see some deer tracks over there. They may be laying down and sleeping, so we could probably get pretty close without disturbing them. I bet they'd look good?" He gives the other a hopeful smile and starts poking around the trail, to figure out which way to go.
Makoto: "Oh ok, do they have spots or anything really pretty?"
Adrian nodded, a little distracted as he tried to figure out the tracks. "Yeah, the babies do. The adults not so much, I guess. But these tracks look right for there to be a baby." He glanced up at the faeelf. "I could try to find something else. There are some hawks around here with really nice patterns, but they're hard to track and find."
Matoko: "Oh thats ok, if deer are easier to find they'll work just fine." nods
Adrian smiled. "All right. I think I have these tracks figured out, the deer are this way." He straightened, and then started off down the game trail, stooping every so often to check a blade of grass, or a bent leaf, or some other sign of an animal's passing.
Makoto: Giggles and follows the other as he tracks down the deer.

Before long, Adrian slowed down, and then he stopped and held up his hand. "I think we're close," he whispered. "Try to be quiet, so we don't scare it." That said, he carefully continued on, and before long, they turned a corner on the game trail to see a deer before them.
Makoto: "oh wow you really found one!" smiles and tries to keep quite and still.
For a few minutes, they managed to stay quiet enough that the deer didn't notice them. Then something - maybe one of them shifting, or their breathing, or even some other animal moving in the brush - caused the deer to startle and look up, at which point it saw them. For one breathless moment, it stayed still, and then it bolted into the brush.
Adrian let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding, and then grinned. "How was that? It's hard to get that close to a deer." He straightened up and looked around. "Want to find some other animals, or did you get what you wanted?"
Makoto: shakes his head while writing some notes down "No I think I'm ok now"
Adrian smiled. "Great!" He looked up, it had taken a while to get out there, and his stomach rumbled. "Hey, do you want to get something to eat? I didn't think to pack sandwiches."
