The air was warm and as usual the tropical plants around the island were flourishing. A brightly coloured female made her way around the trees, her slender frame twisting when need be. She had grown up in these forests and knew much about them, from where the tastiest berries grew to the best hiding places. Since she had grown up alone she had to learn how to take care of herself. This might indicate to some a strong female, however she was quite the opposite. Growing up with out anyone to care for her had made her quite the nervous one. She feared many things and would rather hide than face trouble, since she had not learned how to handle it well. She was a scavenger and a loner. With no family and pride to call her own - everything was a threat. All that mattered is she lived. If that life was worth living was a different story.
"Hmm, its so warm out, I need a place to cool off." She mumbled to herself. Having no one to talk to was very dull, so the female often talked to herself. To give herself a little bit of company perhaps. She wondered until she came to a near by watering hole. A small smile came onto her face as she dipped her two front paws into it. It was so cool. A refershing chill ran up her spine. This was one of the simple pleasures in life which made life worth living. "Ahh, it feels so nice, like the water is massaging my paws." She stated. Closing her eyes and taking in a deep breathe.
