Wolf sighed as he looked out over the cliff to the wooded area below. Noone knew exactly what world they had ended up in and Wolf couldn't have honestly cared. He just seemed satisfied with the fact that him and the others were finally at a social distance. Occasionally looking back at the others, he could notice Mistro was more sociable than his usual self, sharing stories and flirting, seeming to completely ignore his best friend. Some friend, huh?

Feeling bitter and betrayed, Wolf headed off to explore the more wooded area. Maybe with some luck he could actually figure out WHERE they are, hell, maybe he could find the key to getting home. These ideas came to his head, but he paused in place, his body trembling slightly.

“What's the point?” he muttered to himself, looking down toward his left arm. “It's been 2 years, dammit!” his voice grew louder and angrier. “Everyone's either gone or have forgotten me!” He began to sob uncontrollably, muttering under his breath. “I don't have a home to return to anymore! It's probably all gone by now! ALL OF IT!!!” Out of blind rage, he summons his large runed blade and slams it into a nearby tree, nearly chopping it down.

Wolf takes a few deep breaths and he slowly pulls the sword out of the side of the tree. He soon hears a voice which he recognizes.

“Wolf? What are you doing out here?”

It was Eli, as Wolf had guessed, probably attempting to escape the madness that is the club as well. Eli looked concerned as the young paladin tried to quickly tried to wipe his tears and regain his composure.

“N-n-nothing...I'm fine.”

It was obvious Wolf was lying, his voice still slipping and trembling with each word. He quickly dismissed his sword as Eli came over and grabbed his left shoulder. Wolf naturally reacted by pulling it back, but since he wasted his energy earlier, it wasn't strong enough to pull his hand off.

“You want a moment to vent? I'll listen.” Eli asked.

Wolf was prepared to reply with a standard angry snark, but as he looked at the boy in front of him, he calmed down and just nodded.

Eli led Wolf to a slight clearing in the area, it was still as dark as the rest of the woods, but atleast here Wolf could express any rage without causing any more harm to the area. Wolf took a seat on a nearby rock, Eli taking a stump that was right next to it. Eli was staring directly at the boy in front of him, but he seemed to keep his head hung downward. Without being asked anything, Wolf began to rant.

“I suppose I don't need to explain to you that I'm sick and tired of being in this mess. In all my life, I've never seen people who have been so self-absorbed!”

“Then why do you keep coming back whenever you get that chance to escape?” Eli asked curiously.

Wolf sighed, and lifted his head up, only to turn if off to the side. “I honestly don't know, nor does it matter. Clockwork sent me here for SOME reason...”

Eli grew more fascinated. “Clockwork?”

Wolf seemed to be glaring abit, finally facing Eli. “Yes. I'm here because of him. He claimed that I've owed him over a lifetime of service, for abusing powers over time for personal reasons. While I'd rather not get into detail of how I got those powers, in my own defense I only used those powers to protect those I loved! If I went back in time, I never modified anything! I've been framed!”

Eli was in a shock. He never thought Clockwork would sink to such lows. The idea of a guardian ripping a mortal from his life to serve as a weapon made him sick to his stomach. He was ready to express his own distaste, but he needed to stay calm, for Wolf's sake. “Tell me about those you've lost. Family? Friends?” he asked, his voice slightly stirred up from Wolf's earlier statement.

“The only family I have left is my little sister, Angel.” Wolf began.

“Just a younger sister?” Eli's attention was once again sparked.

“Yeah, a year or so after the accident, me and my sister were reunited and she stayed with me.”

“Were you two close? What was she like?”

“Of course we were close! She was always very active and upbeat. If you met her you be surprised we were related.” Wolf couldn't help but chuckle. “Why ask? You're surprisingly interested her...”

“Well...” Eli began. “I had a younger sister too. Ariella...” The boy shivered in his spot.

“What happened?”

“She'd died after I was taken in by Fate...”

“I'm sorry...I didn't realize. It IS hard to live with losing those close to you, isn't it?”

“Especially when you know it's all your fault...”

The two paused for a moment and stared at each other. It never occurred to them that someone in this club could ever understand the pent-up emotions they held. They both blushed abit and Eli quickly tried to move the conversation along. “So...what about your friends?”

Wolf smiled when he heard this question. While he was still depressed at never seeing them, he still enjoyed to reminisce about the past. He seemed to go on and on listing names, events, and places. Eli simply nodded and listened. He was amazed someone could remember this much stuff and be a normal person. Though something didn't feel right. With events and places, Eli was able to see clearly, but when Wolf listed names things got more foggy. It wasn't like they died, but had been wiped off the face of the earth. It was all blank. Eli could feel a slight pain in his head.

“Hmm? Something wrong?” Wolf asked concerned.

“I'm fine...” Eli replied, shaking off the pain.

“Well...thanks for listening...” Wolf sighed. “Hey Eli...”

“Yeah?”

“I know you have some power. Tell me, do you know what's become of them? My sister? My friends?” Though he wasn't expecting much of an answer, Wolf looked expecting of something.

Eli sighed. “You're sister is safe and sound...and I'm certain you'll be able to see her again!”

Wolf smiled.

“As for your friends...” Eli bit his lip. How do you exactly tell someone that their friends have been wiped out of existence? Simply, you don't. “I'm afraid I can't see their fates...”

“Oh...” Wolf sighed dejectedly. “Well I suppose I should have saw that coming...”

He merely shrugged it off, rather used to disappointment. Wolf was already satisfied that he found someone around who could listen and understand him. As he smiled at Eli his mind raced a bit. That's what he needed at this time, someone willing to listen, someone willing to understand. Someone like Eli. Gender shouldn't matter in the equation. Could it just be his own heightened emotions playing tricks on him? Well there was only one way to find out for sure. Without warning, he had hugged Eli around the shoulders.

Eli seemed startled by this sudden action. Wolf isn't the type of person willing to express himself freely to another person, much less to a GUY. Wolf eventually moved closer, pressing his lips against Eli's. Eli was ready to push back but stopped. This might have just been Wolf's way to ease his mind. Also, even he had to admit that it felt rather nice.

At a brief pause, Eli made a fairly short statement. “I thought you were against this sort of thing...”

“Oh just shut up...”

With that, Wolf had locked his lips back against Eli's. After a few hours had passed the passion died down. The two regained their composures and began to make their way back to the club.

“So let me guess: 'Pretend this never happened'?” Eli mocked at Wolf, smiling.

The other boy merely blushed and lipped for him to shut up.
