You make me happy whether you know it or not
We should be happy that's what I said from the start
I am so happy knowing you are the one
That I want for the rest of my days
For the rest of my days
You're all of my days

You're lookin' so cool you're lookin' so fly,
I can't deny that when I'm staring
You down right dead in the eye
I wanna try to be the person you want
The person you need
It's hard to conceive
That somebody like you could be with
Someone like me

I'm happy knowing that you are mine
The grass is greener on the other side
The more I think the more I wish
That we could lay here for hours and just reminisce
Uh ou ou

You're lookin so fresh
It's catching my eye
Why oh why did I not see this before
The girl I adore was right in front of me
And now I'll take a step back and look in your eye
And ask why it took so long to see
We're meant to be

I'm happy knowing that you are mine
The grass is greener on the other side
The more I think the more I wish
That we could lay here for hours and just reminisce

On the good, the bad, the ugly
The smiles, the laughs, the funny,
Or all the things we put each other through
It's for you for you for you

You make me happy whether you know it or not
We should be happy that's what I said from the start
I am so happy knowing you are the one
That I want for the rest of my days
For the rest of my day

I'm happy knowing that you are mine
The grass is greener on the other side
The more I think the more I wish
That we could lay here for hours and just reminisce

...Life hadn't been looking up for Seun lately. His wife left him after she discovered he was secretly gay, and ran off with another man, leaving him and their young son to fend for themselves.  Seun didn't have the best job, and couldn't afford to put his child, Ji, through school, though he tried his best to teach him all he needed to know himself. Ji was the only reason Seun had for living, until a chance encounter with Naoki at the coffee shop one morning turned his entire life rightside up.

They hit it off almost immediately, and Ji took an immediate liking to Naoki, much to Seun's happiness. He felt like he'd found the love of his life. They decided to live together, and survived off Naoki's success at his high-end corporate job. Things really couldn't have gotten better for them.

On june 6th, three days before Ji's 8th birthday, the little boy was killed when a car hit him while he was playing outside.

That destroyed Seun completely. Not long after the funeral, he attempted to kill himself by hanging himself in he and Naoki's apartment. Naoki walked in just as Seun was stepping off the chair, and managed to save him and get him to a hospital. Seun was admitted to a mental health facility shortly after for treatment for severe depression. He wasn't allowed visitors, which crushed Naoki. He had planned to propose to Seun on June 5th, their two-year anniversary.

Naoki was forced to move on, since Seun wasn't leaving the hospital any time soon. He got a new apartment, got promoted at his job, got his phone numbers changed. But he never started dating again, since he was still in love with Seun.

Seun was eventually let out of the hospital, but now had nothing but a prescription for anti-depressants. He was fired from his job and evicted from Naoki and his apartment. He was forced to turn to a life of crime just to pay for his medication and the new apartment he bought in the slummy side of town, making a living robbing from pedestrians or begging for their spare change.

One night, Naoki was walking home from work when he gets pulled into an alley and attacked. He instantly recognizes the mugger as Seun, and breaks down crying. Naoki learns of all Seun's been going through, and desperately wants to get him back on his feet again.

And it works, for a while. Until past crimes catch up with him and he gets arrested. Naoki visits him in prison, close to tears the entire time that he's there. Naoki says he'll pay Seun's bail, and, "I don't want to see you killing yourself like this." He says, and that's the last he speaks before being forced out. On the way home, Naoki gets in a car accident that causes him to permanently lose his vision in both eyes. Seun hears of this, and rushes to the hospital as soon as he's released...

Can they fix all of these broken pieces and finally find happiness? Or all both beyond repair?

Seun yawned sleepily, ruffling out his dark hair and walking out into the kitchen. He immediately went to the coffee machine, pouting and letting an annoyed groan escape his lips. No coffee...Damn. "Finally you're up, Daddy!" A young voice yelled from behind him, over the din of the television from the living room area. Turning, he smiled and laughed, running his hand through his hair and looking over at his son, who was positioned on the floor a few feet from the TV. "Ji, sit on the couch, you'll ruin your eyes sitting so close." The young boy stood up, straightening his pajamas and stumbling over to the couch to resume watching the Saturday morning cartoons.

"Daddy, I'm hungry." Ji pouted, falling over onto the sofa and groaning slightly. Seun laughed, padding over to the couch and plopping himself down next to his child. "Whadd'ya want for breakfast?" "Do we have any Cookie Crisp?" "Um...I don't think so." "I want that!" "Gah!" Seun laughed, ruffling Ji's hair and standing back up. "Well, I'm gonna pop by the store real fast on my way to the coffee shop..." They only sold his favorite kind of coffee at the cafe down the street. "I'll get you some then!" "Yay!" Ji sat up, smiling happily. Seun smiled back, walking back into his room and quickly dressing himself to get ready for the day.

He dressed himself in simple jeans and t-shirt, with a gray hoodie to battle the morning cold outside. Grabbing his wallet off his nightstand, he walked back into the living room- slash- kitchen. "Alright, I'll be right back, hun. You know what to do, right?" Ji nodded rapidly, turning his eyes from the TV and looking over at his dad. "Lock the door, and don't unlock it for anyone but you!" "Good boy." He laughed, kissing Ji on the forehead goodbye and walking out of their small apartment, not moving until he heard the door lock from the inside. With a small smile on his face, he walked down the hall, heading for the coffee shop first, then planning on stopping by the grocer afterwards.

Without a sound we lose sight of the ground

Naoki turned over in his bed, staring at his alarm clock. He didn't really understand why he had one, he always found himself waking up before it much of the time. Yet, as he wrapped his arms around his pillow, he waited patiently for the alarm clock to sound. Four more minutes left. Rolling over so he was facing the ceiling, he let out a satisfied sigh. He'd slept like a baby last night, the first time in over a week, so he just laid there and reveled in the comforting well-rested feeling that washed over him. Beeeeeep, his arm stretched out calmly to press the sleep button. And, his day finally began. Naoki stretched for a moment before sitting up in bed. His eyes ventured to the mirror as he smiled at his reflection, hair as messy as ever. But, it didn't look that bad that day, so he didn't plan on brushing it as he got up. No point in giving himself more to do in the morning if it looked fine the way it was.

Lethargically, he got dressed in an aqua shirt and pulled on a pair of dark jeans. Shrugging into a dark trench coat, he began to exit his modest home and headed straight for the coffee shop. It was tradition, after all. Either way, he enjoyed going there everyday. Somehow, it always left him with an encouraging feeling, which he saw as a perfect start to the day. Stretching his arms for a moment, he let himself yawn one last time before heading out the door.

The crisp morning air greeted him coolly as he stepped outside. He smiled as he looked around at how calm and peaceful it was early in the morning. One or two cars rushed passed him on the road, but for the most part, it was a quiet morning. Just the way he liked it. Turning on his heel, he began to head down the street, content on walking there rather than driving. It wasn't very far, he didn't see any point in polluting the planet any more than deemed 'necessary'.

Seun drew in a deep breath, cold air filling his lungs and making him shiver slightly. He probably should have worn a warmer coat...But hopefully the coffee would warm him up a bit. He stopped and waited patiently at the upcoming crosswalk, though thankfully he didn't have to wait too long due to the lack of cars driving this morning. It was rather nice. There was none of the regular din of the city that set in around noon; cars and people made so much noise. It was nice and calm when all that stopped. Sometimes Seun considered moving out into the countryside to just get away from it all. He knew Ji would like that- he could get out of that small apartment they lived in and have space to play and make friends; and even go to school. But, Seun just didn't have the money to do that. Homes out there were expensive. And he could hardly keep up with the rent on their current residence. But maybe one day.

All he wanted was to keep Ji happy. He was the only positive thing that came out of marrying Kira, his ex-wife. Seun wanted the boy to have a better life than he had- which, so far, wasn't working out so well. But he'd work his hardest to keep his son as happy as possible. Letting out a small sigh, Seun soon found himself at the front door of the little local coffee shop. Getting lost in his thoughts always seemed to make time go by faster than normal.

He pushed the door open and stepped into the warm, welcoming atmosphere, grateful to see that not many others were there that morning. He would have loved to stay and just relax there for a little, but he also had to walk to the grocer for Ji. Though...Surely he wouldn't mind if he relaxed for a tiny bit? Ji had plenty of cartoons and toys to keep him occupied. "Um... Just a Grande cappuchino and these, please." He said to the woman behind the counter, also purchasing a bag of their coffee beans for future coffee needs. He stepped to the side, idly adjusting all the bills(a bunch of fives and ones) in his beat-up wallet as he waited for his order.

Without a sound we lose sight of the ground

The sound of rustling leaves and sweet birds chirping from above left him feeling a little nostalgic. He didn't understand how the sensation of yearning for the past came along, but that satisfied smile quivered in uncertainty as memories danced around in his mind. Memories. Ones of his childhood, oh how carefree those days were, ones of the times when his parents used to gush about his future. How he would have a family, such beautiful children, and an absolutely stunning wife. Yes, a wife..... Sometimes he found himself lying awake late at night, wondering what happened. What changed? What could have made him into the person he was today?

"Hmph, there's nothing I should be ashamed about," Naoki reminded himself aloud as he continued on his way. From the leisurely, rather sluggish pace he was walking but moments before, he suddenly went into a swift, hasty stride. Why was it that this subject would come into his mind at least once daily? Did his parents really drill their disappointment into his brain, his very core; being? Absentmindedly, the young man, if he could still be considered that at his age, began to button and unbutton his coat feverishly, as if such an act could put his mind at ease. Stopping mid-stride, he couldn't continue any further with the state his mind was currently in. It resembled a burning flame, he wasn't keen on putting anyone else on fire that day. Suffice it to say, he needed to put out the fire before he went anywhere.

At first, he was very determined to find a proper place to sit. Alas, it seemed there was nowhere that someone would consider 'proper' as he found himself sitting at the curg of the sidewalk. It was still much too early for many cars to pass by as he rested his head in between his knobby knees. Just a few deep breaths, he reminded himself, then we can keep going. He inhaled as calmly as he could, breath sounded shaky as he exhaled. The walk there was the best time to think, but he didn't want to dwell on that subject as he took a few more deep breaths. His eyes were half-open and didn't focus on anything in particular as the world seemed to blur into a colourful mess around him. Checking his watch, which began as a dark blob before materializing properly, he stood up swiftly.

You don't want to be late. He nodded at this thought before running a few blocks more. Then, as the smell of freshly baked food and strong coffee washed over him, he knew he was there. Now, it was time. Time for the relaxation to begin. And, with that encouraging thought fresh as the morning bread on his mind, he headed into the coffee shop. A soft bell echoed around the shop, as it always did when a new customer arrived.

Glancing around like a curious kitten, Naoki gave a smile to a few of the regular customers that arrived at such an early hour. He raised his eyebrow at a different character, he'd thought he saw the man before, possibly, but never had a conversation with him. Still, he wasn't sure if the other man would welcome his company.

"Good Morning, Naoki, would you like the usual?" The woman behind the counter asked him with a bright smile as the dark-haired man nodded.

"You know me too well!" He replied with a soft laugh, about to continue conversing with the woman until he glanced behind him, realizing there was someone else waiting to order. "Could you put extra milk this time, though?" Naoki added quickly before moving aside for the other customer to order. Awkwardly, he began to scratch his head, eyes forever wandering. He didn't understand why he felt so peculiar as he chanced a quick glance at the other man also waiting for his order. He let out a childish sigh at his own immaturity before attempting to concentrate his eyes on the marble floor. It really was no use as he grew bored quickly and began to look around once again. I should have worn sunglasses....

Seun yawned into the crook of his elbow, blinking his slender eyes in attempt to blink the tears away. He wasn't crying, but his eyes always got overly watery when he yawned. It didn't take him much time at all to rearrange his money 'stockpile' and slip his wallet into his back pocket, where there was something in there obstructing him from doing so. Pouting to himself, he pulled the other object out first and then slipped his wallet back in its familiar position. Oh, hey! That's where his phone went! Oops. His pout was replaced by a small smile as he pressed the on button, but even that quickly faded when he saw that he had one recent missed call from home. Crap! What if what Ji was having a problem or was in trouble? He quickly dialed his house phone number, leaning against the arm of the coffee house's leather couch and tapping his foot nervously against the marble floor. His eyes watched the ragged shoes he always wore.

"Daddy?" Ji sounded a bit hyped up and excited, but not at all hurt. That was relieving, at least. Seun sighed softly, scratching behind his ear as his nerves began to settle. "Ji, are you okay? Why'd you call?" He kept his voice rather hushed, so as to not disturb anyone else in the coffee shop or miss his order. "I'm okay! But, one of my teeths fell out!" Seun smiled brightly, a small laugh escaping him. "Really? Cool! Which one?" Ji had been trying to get all of his teeth to come out ever since his first loose tooth. He just really wanted grownup teeth like his Dad. "The fourth one! It looks so cool, Daddy. But it feels funny..." "Well, make sure you're not dripping everywhere." "Don't worry, I'm over da sink!" "Good boy!" Seun heard Ji laugh, then spit out some of his bloody saliva into(what he hoped was) the sink. "Can I call Mommy and tell her?" His face immediately fell.

Ji desperately wanted to keep in contact with his birth mother, but that woman wanted nothing to do with the poor child. Seun wanted him to have an perfectly normal family, but that was hard to do without a mom. He didn't necessarily want a female mother figure around, just...someone else to make Ji feel like he has a whole family. He knew the boy wouldn't care if it was another man or a woman. Just someone else. Seun grew up without a father, and it was awful knowing there would never be another person in that empty space at the dinner table, or in that empty space he slept in sometimes in his mother's bed. "U-um...I think Mommy's at work right now. You shouldn't disturb her." He lied, chewing on the inside of his cheek and hoping he would buy it. "Oh...Okay." Ji didn't sound convinced, but he trusted his son enough to know he wouldn't go off calling his mother without permission.

"Put your tooth under your pillow so the Tooth Fairy can find it tonight, alright?" "Alright! Gotta clean it off first though..." "Okay. I'll be home soon to help you." "Kay. Bye. Love you!" "Love you." He hung up and pocketed his phone, face a little solemn, just in time to hear his order being called. He looked up, pushing away from the sofa and walking over to get his coffee. Mumbling a soft thank you and bowing his head slightly, he turned to walk off when a person he spotted earlier caught his eye. He didn't pay much attention at first, since he wasn't that close, but now Seun felt like he couldn't tear his eyes away from the other man. Who might have been glancing at him for a brief moment, but that was probably just a trick of his own eyes.

Hoping to not seem too weird, Seun quickly cleared his throat and threw a nice, polite smile the stranger's way and quickly averted his eyes, trying his best to ignore the feeling that his heart was all the way in his throat. He took a seat on the large sofa up against the large window of the coffee house, setting his coffee on the table in front of him for a moment and glancing around for a clock. Ah- he had quite some time before Ji would get mad at him for lack of cereal products. At least he had the day off today. He could easily make up for late cereal with a trip to the playground and ice cream vendor.

Without a sound we lose sight of the ground

He tried not to stare, tried not to seem like he was very aware of the other man as he began to fiddle with his cellphone in an attempt to busy himself. Really, he had no one to call this early in the morning, so he found himself looking again, watching his entire conversation on the phone. This isn't weird, he tried to convince himself, not weird at all. It didn't work in the slightest, he knew that he shouldn't be so nosy as to listen into someone else's conversation on the phone. His parents didn't raise him to be so meddlesome, but his curiousity got the better of him as he discreetly listened.

Why did he find himself so interested in what the other man was talking about? It couldn't have merely been curiousity, for he wasn't prone to eavesdropping on anyone's conversation. Yet, he continued to do so, a soft smile pulling at the corner of his lips at the way the other man seemed to light up while talking to the person on the phone. He found himself feeling a ting of envy, but it faded quickly just as it came upon him. He knew better than to think that way about someone he didn't know.

When the man gave him a smile, he didn't resist smiling back, only to be called up seconds later to grab his coffee. Thanking the woman genially, he took his coffee and tasted it, making sure they'd made it properly. Though, they always did. He found his eyes venturing to the couch near a large window of the shop, watching pensively the man who sat alone in it. It can't hurt to offer him some company, he thought encouragingly before making his way towards the male.

Naoki must have looked awkward as he stood before him, a gentle smile present on his face as he spoke. "Uhmmm... would you mind if I sat with you?" He asked, doing his best to sound confident, though he wasn't so sure if he came off as such.

Seun reached for his coffee and settled into the overly cushy, yet still comfy sofa and crossed one leg over the other. He took a sip of the hot liquid, wincing slightly. Still waaaay too hot. Ow. He stuck his tongue out a bit in attempts to heal the third degree burn he had just given himself, resting the beverage against his leg to let it cool a bit. Jeez. They couldve warned him. Seun stuck his tongue back in his mouth after the sting receded, a small, content sigh escaping his lips. Ah...This place always relaxed him and made his mood alot better. He took Ji here sometimes, but he couldn't sit quiet nor still for very long, and people tended to not like that when they came to the coffee shop to relax or do work.

He raised his coffee up to his lips and blew into the small opening, hoping to cool it a bit before attempting to drink it again. When it was deemed safe he took another sip, and thankfully his tongue didn't get burned off. Ah...Coffee here was always better than when he tried to make something like this at home. Something always went terribly  wrong.

Seun was about to venture another drink when he saw a pair of legs enter his field of vision and a voice adress him. He glanced up, lowering his coffee so he didn't choke on it by accident. Ah...It was that guy. Seun knew that the other male had spoken, but he found it hard to stop staring long enough to form a sentence. Eventually he came to, with a slightly awkward clearing of his throat. "Oh, no, not at all." He smiled, gesturing towards the empty seat next to him with his free hand. Seun definitely wouldn't mind getting able to sit next to someone so...ahem! Seun, get a hold of yourself. He mentally scolded himself, averting his eyes to his coffee cup to avoid staring more.

But really, Seun wouldn't have been Seun if he didn't embarass himself with every alternate step. He let his eyes flit back over to the stranger, and before he could reason with the words, they were already out of his mouth. "I'm Seun." I'm an awkward idiot. Is what I should have said. He nervously scratched the back of his neck, the beginning of a blush starting to tinge his cheeks. Why, why? Now he's gonna think you're some kinda creepy wierdo...

Without a sound we lose sight of the ground

Oh, well I’m Naoki.” He didn’t want to congratulate himself too quickly, only mentally patting himself on the back for not being rejected. How odd, he wondered, would it have looked if he thanked the other man for letting him sit with him? Well, that’d definitely make me look desperate or something, he reminded himself before taking a seat almost stiffly, as if he weren’t used to being around another person before. But, in reality, he wasn’t sure why he was acting this way. He usually came off as confident and outgoing to others, but this person seemed to make him feel very self-conscious and aware of every little slip up he made. But, trying to push that thought to the back of his mind, he at least got past step one.

Putting on a gentle smile at the way the other man, Seun, acted, he couldn’t help but snicker in amusement. It was a little obvious to him that he was just as flustered, maybe even more so (if it wasn’t vain for Naoki to think so). Well, he reasoned with himself, at least it was a mutual thing. He thumbed his fingers against his cup of coffee as he spoke. “The coffee here is really good, huh?” And he knew that he was a foot-in for the award for worst icebreaker. No, idiot, it was awful. He came by here often just to bask in its awfulness. He could really go on forever, but he didn’t see it as a very good idea to be so pessimistic.

Naoki blew at his coffee before discreetly looking over Seun more thoroughly. His friends often said he had a thing for hair, as his eyes always found themselves checking out a person’s hair before anything else. And, he hated to admit, he was doing just that. The other man’s hair looked so soft and silky, he was very much tempted to touch it, but knew better than that. Ha, that’d creep him out for sure! It was best to keep from staring too long, especially since it was his hair rather than any other feature most would find more appealing. Like his face..... or his eyes.... he really could stare forever, it all pleased him. But, he knew that such an idea wasn’t something that would make the other male any more comfortable, so he quickly moved his eyes onto something else. Something far less interesting.

He began to stare at his cup.

"N-nice to meet you," Oh, how he wanted to punch himself for that stutter. It made him feel really, really...well, just plain lame. Attempting to focus less on his screw ups and more on the argument at hand, he concentrated on the other's name. Naoki. It had a nice ring to it~ he liked that about Japanese names. His name was just generic Korean blah. He never really liked it, but eh, at least he had a name. "That's a really pretty name." Seun immediately attempted to drown himself in his coffee after ue said that. Pretty? Couldve said nice, couldve said cool, couldve even said awesome. But no, he had to go with the response women used to compliment other women. Jeez...He felt like such a dork. He shouldve just gotten up and left right then.

Once his mini-suicide attempt failed, he rested his coffee against his leg once again and stared at a fading patch of his jeans. There was a strange sensation that a pair of eyes were on him, as stupid as that sounded, and he waited for the feeling to fade before giving in and glancing "stealthily"(He was probably pretty obvious) over at Naoki. Everything about this man seemed fantastic, just at a first glance. Seun had always had a thing for eyes, and his really seemed to catch and hold down his attention. It was hard to look away from them. They had an alluring, fascinating shape that made Seun just want to dive into them to find out what secrets they kept. But that wouldve been rude of him.

"Oh, yeah. It's great." He said smiling and chuckling softly to himself. That was sort of a lame thing to say, but Seun had no high ground; he wouldve said something eighteen times as stupid. But they way the other seemed so stiff and awkward(sorta like Seun), comforted him slightly. As odd as that sounded. At least he wasn't the only awkward one here, and they both felt a little uncomfortable. But hey, that's how all great things start out, right? Right...He hoped. Seun's cell phone started to vibrate from inside his pocket, but he didn't even notice it- he was too busy trying to stare-but-not-seem-too-obvious at Naoki at the present.

Without a sound we lose sight of the ground

Naoki found himself laughing as well, albeit an awkward ‘he’s laughing so maybe I should laugh too’ sort of laugh. At least the other man hadn’t shut him down completely; he was definitely of the kind, decent sort, which pleased him. Drumming his fingers against his pant leg, he tried to think of something else to say, something not so idiotic. And something that didn’t sound like some sort of lame pick up line either. This was, he found himself shameful for admitting it, extremely difficult. The subject of names, he found, had to be the best place to start. After all, what was more interesting than talking about names? Well.... practically anything. It’s better than stating the obvious, he reminded himself before looking back up at Seun.

Ah, you really think so?” He asked sheepishly. Really, he wasn’t sure how to respond to having a pretty name. It was a compliment, he was sure of that as he heard the other male’s tone of voice. So he would take it as such. “I think Seun is a nice name. It’s simple and easy to remember. I’ll make sure to remember it....” He found himself trailing off to an almost inaudible whisper at his own words. Did he really just say that?

Yes, he heard it. He could feel the words escaping his lips, and he hoped that this seemingly awkward situation wouldn’t become even awkwarder because of him. He doubted that was even a word. Awkwarder. Still, if he was lucky enough, Seun barely heard the last part. Or maybe he was just overreacting a little. Or a lot. It didn’t matter, the deed was done, and it wasn’t even much of a deed to begin with. He was thinking as if he said I love you to the other man, which he did not. Therefore, everything should be fine. Besides, he could have taken it as a friendly gesture, right? I’m thinking too much, brain overload! Yet, outwardly, he simply smiled in an outgoing manner. For once, he kept himself from looking panicked and, well, crazy.

Hopefully it didn't sound like he was flirting, because he so obviously was not. Or was he? Naoki took a quick sip of his coffee to calm his nerves. Until he remembered that it had caffeine in it. Which would make him more wired than anything else.

I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves

Seun cleared his throat nervously, relieved that the backlash of calling Naoki's name pretty wasn't severe. But he still berated himself for being so stupid. Any other adjective could've worked- even horrible or nasty. Anything put pretty.

As it always turned out, Seun heard that last part slip from Naoki's mouth. He raised a curious eyebrow, wondering if he heard those words right. It sounded almost like some kind form of flirting...but maybe that's what people said to compliment eachother nowadays. Hell, he hadn't dated in so long, that may as well have been the case. But Seun just let the slightly awkward comment slide with an airy smile and not a backwards glance to it; although it did make him feel kind of...ah, he didn't really know the feeling. It was a nice one, though- sort of akin to warm butterflies dancing in his stomach. "Heh. Well, no one in my family is good with names, so I got a simple ol' one." He said with a shrug, leaning back into his comfy seat and taking another sip of his coffee.

Seun had actually come up with something to say, and had his mouth halfway open to speak when his phone went off again, louder and mire vibrate-y than before. "Ah- 'scuze me-..." He mumbled, setting his coffee down and digging out his phone. One missed call from work, and Ji was currently calling him again. "Ji? You okay? ...Didn't I tell you not to open the door? Well- oh, Makoto came by?" Makoto was his way-too-serious-boss. "What did you tell him? Gah...Okay. No, I'll call him tomorrow. Lock the door, okay?...Okay. Love you." Seun spoke relatively quietly again, so as to not disturb or annoy anyone around him. Sighing softly, he slipped his phone back into his pocket and picked up his coffee again.
