There was this waffle maker. It had three press-plate parts and closed like a book I was making blueberry waffles but the waffles kept getting smaller and flatter. Then the waffle maker wasn't made of metal any more, but wicker, and it wasn't square shape, but kind of oval like a slice of artisan bread. The waffles were now coming out about 3" in diameter and flat, like underdone pancakes. I opened the wafflemaker and it wasn't wicker on the inside anymore, but all spongey like something between foam and bread and there was a separate compartment in there for toasting crackers whaile you make waffles. The crackers inside were all hot and toasty but the "waffles" were coming out smaller and smaller, flat and less and less cooked

I don't regularly read dreams but to me it sounds like a stress dream because you were trying to toast waffles but they were shrinking out of your control. I also think you are some what of an engineer because you looked inside and identified the cracker compartment.
