The Day was fresh and the air crisp. Judging from the sky it was just after high-noon when the sun would start it's descent back to the lands edge. The sky still glowed blue with fluffy clouds spread across the sky. The day had started out like any other day but as time slipped by the day seemed to be taking a turn... where the day would usually grow slowly in warmth and not jump too much it was found that there was a major increase between the n** the morning had promised and the heat that now radiated from the land and sky. A warning of the coming summer months
Zheadeos had rested through the night fairly well. He felt odd at what had previously happened between him and an odd mare he'd met and since that day he'd felt off slightly lost. Each day he spent merely roaming not caring where he went nor where it led him but when he awoke this morning he had felt an urge to once more follow the river once more as he had originally done when he started traveling and exploring. The river would lead him to the plains not far from where his family had stayed when he was a foal. His parents were still there but he knew not of his siblings. they'd split ways and such before they knew he'd be gone. Fearful that LittleWind would beg him to stay he had left just before dawn on that day. The though of possibly seeing his family while he was drawn to the plains worried him slightly. He hoped that nothing was wrong there and that he was drawn to the plains for another reason. As he traveled with the rising sun the river's water seemed to grow calmer. He knew the water would not stay calm for long, it would change depending on where he was. He was on the opposite side of the river from the plains by the time he'd reached the plains area.

It had already gotten so late in the day before Ciro even really began to notice she had just wasted another day at her father's side. Deep down the mare felt bad about dragging her father and closest child down, but she just didn't feel comfortable straying far from family anymore. She turned her head back toward the sky, watching for a while as the clouds continued to lazily drift overhead. The sun continuing it's journey back down to meet the land once more, bringing nightfall with it. She sighed and glanced over at the only family she had left that was close. The only ones she could trust to talk to and protect her.
With the heat came the yearning for something cool. There were few trees to offer shade where they lived and she didn't trust the forest after seeing a particular mare stalking the edges of it. The river was her only option left. She knew of the perfect place where a rocky outcropping offered a good amount of shade and plenty of cool water to drink. The mare took a deep breath and slowly made her way down to the river's edge, making sure to keep her family within sights just in case she would need them. She gazed into the water as she reached the edge and stared at her reflection for what seemed like forever before a slight amount of movement caught her attention. Was she imagining things, or was there actually someone else nearby?

Drawn forward Zhea continued to follow the river being pulled forth. He felt like he was needed somewhere. That someone needed him. His cloven feet began to clip against the rocky shore line of the river. He was by no mean a silent being when it came to his walking.
Zheadeos's head was muddled in thought because he had not noticed how close to the river he was till he felt the cool lap of water upon his leg. The water brought his thoughts back to focus. This was when he realized the reason he'd neared the river so much. Not far from where he was on the bank, on the opposite side was a mare. She was similar in color to the last mare he'd came across that had stirred up his life and left him lost. He shortly after realized that he was being drawn to her. He no longer questioned why he was drawn to others. He found out that there was always a reason it was just discerning the reason that was often the hardest part about his being drawn to another.
Zheadeos was uncomfortable crossing the river but he knew he'd need to unless he could get the mare to come to him on his side of the river. Once he was near enough to a relatively calm portion of the river he hesitantly began to enter but didn't get to far before he felt his hooves move on the rocks. He hated rock bed rivers. "Excuse me Miss. Are you busy?"

The sound of hooves hitting rocks and causing them to move around startled Ciro and sending her back-peddling away from the water rather quickly. She typically didn't startle easily, but having thought she was completely alone the idea of another being so close wasn't all that comforting. Especially since that other was a strange stallion she had never seen or met before now.
Ciro stared back at him in silence, watching as he attempted to cross the river and idly wondering what his problem was with it. He just...stopped. Not even that far in either. Did he really have such a problem with something she did easily on a weekly basis? The mare snorted back at him and ruffled her wings a bit, ready to turn and leave until he spoke.
"...no. Why?"

Zheadeos stared back at the river bed again. Surely there was someplace it was more mud then rock's. They just slipped and slid under his cloven hooves where in mud his hooves aided him. He was pleased though when she responded. He even grinned even though he was uneasy about the water. "Well you see..." He looked back down at the water and back out of it and eyed the bank to see if it seemed to give way to more of a mud bank. "...it's rather complicated... but uh..." He frowned as he continued to look at the bank till he found where he thought he'd have a better chance to cross. "For some reason I felt the need to come... and uh... talk to you miss."
Zhea nodded his head and grinned when he'd gone just a little farther up the bank from her and sure enough where the bank gave way to more mud then rock the bed did to. "And well because of this reason..." He cautiously reentered the water being careful to watch the river bed. "I'd like to talk to you..." He'd barely made it in to the point where the water leapt just below the grey marks of his forelegs before he stopped."That is if you don't mind. I was just simply drawn to you. This morning I woke and was drawn to walk this way."

Ciro blinked at him a few times like he was crazy. She didn't even KNOW him and he was supposed to come talk to her? She turned slightly, getting ready to bolt as he finally started to make his way successfully across the river. "Why would you want to talk to me?" She asked, laying her ears back a bit. "And how would you know you were drawn to me specifically? There could be some other reason you were walking this way and now you just don't remember because you saw me..." Ciro murmured, taking another step back.

Zheadeos remained still where he'd stopped as he cocked his head and looked at her. She doubted him which was really no surprise but he knew. Somehow he just knew. "I am curious. You appear to be fine and therefore desire to figure out why I'm drawn to you." He dipped his head to scare a fish from his legs before he glanced back up at her. "As for how I know it's you I'm drawn to is the simple fact that though I can't stand crossing river bed I am here now doing so." His words made him jerk his head back to the river bed as to try to make it closer to the side of the bank he desired to be on.
Zhea crinkled his nose as he took another step and one of his hind hooves slipped on a rock cause his rear to dip. Luckily he kept himself from falling in. "To explain more I typically don't stray to others without reason. That is my nature you see. Therefore I know it is you unless there is someone hiding behind or beneath you." Dipped his head in attempt not to be scary. He was not intimidating in size he was smaller then both his brother and father and almost the same size as his sister having inherited his size from his mother. "I assure you I mean you no harm."

Ciro blinked at him again as she watched his further attempts to cross the river. "You're so certain it's me..." she murmured, stepping closer to the river, much against her will. "I just...I don't understand why still, but I don't think I ever will." Ciro told him, smiling slightly from the bank. "But you...why are you so afraid of crossing the river? It's not that hard." She said, jumping in beside him, sending copious amounts of water up around them.
"Sorry..." she murmured, stepping away again, once more unsure if she wanted to get close to him. "I didn't mean to...you know..." Ciro sighed and watched the poor stallion, stuck in the middle of the river and not looking like he'd be moving anytime soon. She began to felt bad for him and carefully stepped around to help push him the rest of the way across.

Zheadeos frowned as the muddy bed seemed to have more pebbles rocks scattered across it. He then lifted his head again and caught her slight smile. It encouraged him to know that she would smile. It meant he'd made it in and she'd not flee in fear of him. "My hooves are cloven which you would think allows me to be able to cross the river easily only I seem to have to the luck of slipping because I step work on the rocks of a river bed."
Zhea smiled at her own ability to be in the river. The water that responded to her jumped went everywhere. He did enjoy the water. He was just leery of falling. He had yet to get over such a childhood fear. "It's alright." He looked back down at the river bed when he felt her push him toward the bank. With her helpful push he continued his way out of the river. He hoped one day he'd get over his fear of crossing the river. "Thank you." The bank of the river was getting closer and thankfully the pebbles in the river bed were staying the size of little pebbles.

Ciro nodded quietly and stood in the middle of the river once she was certain he was able to get back on the opposite shoreline by himself. "You're welcome." She murmured, staying put and not really wanting to allow herself to get closer to the stallion. She had been hurt once and didn't believe he wouldn't do the same if she fell in love with him so freely.
"I'm sorry...but...I just don't know what you want to know from me. I'm not really looking to get involved with anyone...ever again."

Zheadeos wasn't use to the help it was certainly interesting. He carefully picked his way to the shore. It felt odd being back on the plains. He was unsure if it was same area his parents inhabited but it felt like home none the less. He tentatively climbed the bank and looked about.
Zhea turned around to watch the mare who seemed to be leery of him even though he'd said he meant her no harm. He frowned and then her words came out. She was confused which was understandable he assumed. It was odd at least he though it would be if someone came up to him unknown saying they were drawn to him, but when she spoke of getting involved with anyone he was baffled. He certainly held no desire to be with a mare like that, at least not anytime soon. One night it had happened and that was all he needed. He changed and had felt wrong about himself. He was still unsure why but after it nothing was right. She seemed as off as he had. "Please don't fret over such. I'm in no hurry to experience that." He avoided saying anytime soon but she'd said ever again so he felt it would be better not to add that little bit.
Zheadeos tilted his head watching the mare in thought. "To be honest I myself don't know." He oddly scratched at the ground where his hoof was cloven it dug ground away. He'd never know why he was drawn to people he'd just blindly search and the answer should fall into place as if it were a puzzle. "Have you many friends?" He found himself asking curiously. It would be a start if he could befriend her he could learn what he needed to do to help her.

Ciro moved up out of the water after a short time and scuffed her own hooves against the ground a few times as well, almost following his lead in doing so. She glanced up again when he spoke. He didn't want to experience that? He didn't want a family? Ciro had to admit that she loved her children dearly and they were the best thing that had happened to her, but other aspects are what had gone awry. She nodded quietly, turning her gaze back down to the marks in the dirt from their hooves.
"Good. ...and no. I have no friends. I live here with my father and my youngest son..." she murmured, looking out across the field at where they were still standing, completely clueless. "I never really got out enough to meet friends...there was a stallion that helped me once as a foal but that's about it and even then I don't remember his name. Just vaguely what he looks like."

Zheadeos nodded softly in thought. She had no friends. That could have been the reason behind being drawn to her. It would have made since. "Well I shall be your friend then." He nodded again as he said his statement not yet catching that it should have come out more of a question then of a statement as it had. Still being rather young he hadn't quite gotten a full understanding of conversation mannerism's being one to only talk to a select few.
Though after some thought Zhea sighed catching the way his comment would have likely come off. He'd said I shall rather then shall I. Such word placement made all the difference. "Wait you have a son?" She'd said she lived with her father and son. That was wrong though. She had to live with others. The father of her son should be there too. He had a place there and that was as it should have been. It was something Zhea didn't understand in the least being raised by both his mother and father. He'd yet to learn of the children his parent had prior to him and his siblings. He was sure his baffled thoughts were reflected on his face.

Her eyes widened in surprise at the statement. He was insisting on being her friend? She tilted her head slightly and watched him mull thoughts over. "My friend? Nono...I think you've really mistaken me for someone else you should have been drawn to." Ciro shook her head quickly and started to back pedal again until he raised questions about her family. Now she'd done it. She had said too much instead of keeping it in her mind.
"Y-yes...yes just my father and my son. I have two other children but--" Ciro sighed and looked away from him, turning her eyes to the ground. "I don't know where they are...not sure I ever will."

Zheadeos frowned as she turned him down from being her friend. Obviously he should have thought more on his words before he'd blurted them out. He shook his head as she commented that he'd made a mistake on being drawn to her. He wasn't quite sure but he was sure it was her. Call it intuition or a gut feeling.
Zhea continued to frown as she broached his comment about her son and it was his turn to be surprised. She had three kids... but she didn't know where two were... "Then they are grown? No longer little foals? Won't they come home?" Zhea had a feeling he wasn't catching something as he looked over it all again. He wasn't sure if his brother and sister had remained at home after he'd left but they would return if they had. He would have to visit them before he left to travel again. His Mother and Father would be there together still happy and such. "What of their father? How come he is not here?" Once more he blurted out his words rather then thinking over them such a thing must have been rude, Who was he to go about questioning things. He could likely be out searching for their children which had her there alone. Many different explanations. "I am sorry that was rather rudely blunt of me. I never even introduced myself. I'm Zheadeos."
