Chapter Sixteen: Something Wicked This Way Comes
Night falls at the Guild of the Sun, young Pokemon are tucked into bed and the older Pokemon stroll about waiting for sleep to take them.
It is a cool night, peaceful even and peace is well welcomed at the guild as of late.
Surrounded by enemies, Sun and Moon cross paths to eclipse and join forces.
If only for the time being
"NO!" A sharp retort escaped the Espeon as his sister gave a sinister smile.
"That's right, Solaris. It's over. You didnt think I'd play your game fair now did you? That I'd just drop my guard and play nice? You are more foolish than I thought."
Solaris inhaled sharply and then lifted a paw to his face.
"Why do you insist on cheating everytime we play Poke'nopoly? You did this when we were kids too! And I want to be the race car this time!"
"No way, you are nowhere near cool enough to be the race car."
The Espeon started to whine, a loud protest bubbling up when the flap of wings made him pause and turn around.
A Swellow adorned in armor soared through the window and landed nearby.
"Sir. We may have a problem..."

  ~ Armand~ Veronica~ The deafening alarm echoed throughout the area as the two members of Team Lunar Curtain made their way to their leaders. A small group of higher-ups had formed, surprisingly they were early. That was a first. Unsure of what to do, they stood by waiting for some information pertaining to as to why the alarm had been pulled and what they should do about it. After last time, they expected the worst.

  Roland + Morpheus
As they arrived into the main corridor, they joined the rest of the group of Pokemon, all of which seemed to be readying for something.
"What's going on here?!" barked Roland.

  "Ocelot"---&--- "Lynx""Lynx" started to make her way to Alfred, but her brother grabbed her arm.
"Stay with me," He snapped.
The Gardevoir looked down at the floor. LucyLucy muttered some things and crossed her arms.
"Oh joy, can't wait to see my loving brother again," She spat. SpikeSpike appeared with the Moon Guilders, cracking his neck.
"I'm going to blast this ******** to next week," He said.
Devices in his shoulder began to whir and buzz.  Jessica---&--- SiggySiggy and Jessica both arrived in response to the alarm. NicoSuddenly, the barricaded door was sent crashing down.
"Well now! It seems that my little playthings have put up a bigger wall. Dunno' why, it didn't seem to do much good!"
Nico laughed as he step into the guild, his mutated arm snapping around wildly.
"I seem to be feeling a case of whiplash!"
At that, he swung his arm, which extended and grew to swipe at all of the guilders.

Solaris---Selena---Spira---Alfred---Jasper---Storm
The Espeon leapt up with a yelp, dodging a slash from that arm.
Selena was far more unlucky and went hurtling back across the room where she collided with Spira and knocked them both over.
"Dammit, Sel!"
"Sorry!"
Solaris snickered softly and let loose a Psybeam.
Alfred shook his head at the two with a smirk and threw up a Protect shield to stop that arm from sending him to join the others on the floor.
MAN! It felt great to be able to use his psychic again.
With a snarl of rage, Storm moved into attack but was cut of by his father who brought his Iron Tail down over Nico's arm as it got in range.
"Let me get him!"
"Dont be an idiot and rush in!"
   
Xavier---Jazz---Sleet---Rayne
Rayne kept her distance, hiding behind Jazz.
Holy hell that Weavile was trippy now! She recalled seeing it before when she was a Pichu. It had creeped her out then too.
Jazz, now a shield, frowned and found himself keeping out of danger to keep guard over Rayne.
Sleet, was not keen to battle either, so she remained behind the Raichu as well, but Xavier was right in the fray, twisting and dodging with no expression and firing out Shadow Ball attacks.
Almost on autopilot.

Roland + Morpheus
"Holy fu-" Roland was cut off when he was hit by the arm and sent into the air. He hit the ground with a soft Thump! "Morpheus...Do something?!"
"..." Morpheus first looked at Roland like he was the strangest thing he'd ever seen. then, he turned towards the Weavile, his eye glowing. A horrible, echoing noise came from his body. It seemed to emanate from him. Roland cringed at the noise, and watched as the Ominous wind picked up, slashing at Nico.
Roland stood "Nice one Morpheus, keep it up!" and with that Roland ran into the fray.~~~

~ Armand~ Veronica~ A pair of guilders that were new to Armand suddenly came into the room. The Growlithe of the duo shouted a question, and the way he addressed the higher-ups appalled Armand, he was about to say something in the ways of manners, when the barred door burst and a mutated Weavile waltzed right in. Armand cursed, "So this must be the Weavile Kai spoke of." Veronica lessened her fight-ready-stance a bit and cocked an eyebrow, "What? Really? What did he say about...it?" Armand shook his head quickly, while the Weavile spouted some banter, "Just that this guy is real bad, and to watch out for his-" Armand gasped just as the Weavile began to slash out at all the guild members. He quickly grabbed Veronica by the arm and yanked her about 10 feet into the air, barely out of reach of the huge, mutated arm. Armand dropped Veronica when the attack was over and fired a Will-O-Wisp at it. Veronica landed with a "thump" and faced the Weavile. She brought all her energy into the center of her body, building, building, and building until she finally released it in one huge orange beam. The Hyper Beam was making a bee line for the Weavile, despite Veronica's enthusiasm, she shouldn't expect to make much more that a scratch. [[ 2 hits (burn?)]]

Roland + Morpheus Roland dodged the attack, barely. It glanced his side, causing a slight pain in his side to manifest. Turned out he was bleeding.
Morpheus moved to the side, dodging the attack completely, acting as if this were quite boring to him.
Roland leaped at Nico, trying to hit him with a Flame Wheel. He succeeded, though it cost him dearly. The wound in his side was not getting any better. "Damn it..." he thought.
Morpheus, still seeming quite distracted, kept up his previous Ominous Wind. He hoped that it would help to slightly distract Nico ,so other, more battle-hardened fighters could hit him easier.~~~

Solaris---Selena---Spira---Alfred---Jasper---Storm
"Incoming!"
Selena dove to the side, rolling across the floor and then leaping back to her feet next to Solaris. The two exchanged
glances and frowned before lunging at the tentacles with their teeth.
Jasper snarled from nearby, Thunder attacks flickering and lighting up the air above them. Focused on attacking, he didnt notice when Storm went barreling towards Nico in a Volt Tackle or he would have stopped the foolish kid.
Standing near Spike, the Lucario female chucked Aura Sphere after Aura Sphere at the Weavile. Getting too close to those sharp whips would be dangerous so she was keeping her distance.
Distance wasnt good for Psychics at the time.
Alfred, Protect Shield still up, was pondering how to get in a good hit without getting in range of that arm. His Psychic attacks would do no good against the dark type, but his fighting one would.
That would require getting close. Meh, damn.
He formed a few Psycho Cut blades and sent them hurtling at Nico instead.
Xavier---Jazz---Sleet---Rayne
With a longer range, it was obvious that keeping back was not going to help them any longer.
Realizing this, Jazz leapt forward and pounced on one of the tentacle blades, tearing with his teeth.
Sleet followed up with a Flamethrower, watching Xavier out of the corner of her eye as the Umbreon slashed away with his claws.
Rayne moved to hide behind Siggy.

~ Armand~ Veronica~ The Weavile suddenly began striking all the guild members with razor sharp claws. Armand narrowly dodged one, having it only glance off the side of his mask. He rushed towards the Weavile and whacked him, the Faint Attack doing minor damage, he quickly returned to Veronica's side, aware of how much damage it could do at close range. As for Veronica, as the Tentacles came close, she summoned several sharp stones from the ground and shot them towards the mutated Weavile. The Stone Edge sliced through several of the tentacles, including the one aimed at her, and a few hit the thing. [[ 2 more hits...yay o3o]]

~ Armand~ Veronica~ Veronica was getting pumped, everything was going nicely. Well that is, until a mutated tentacle cleared the space between her and the Weavile in a matter of seconds, smashed into her with enough force to shatter diamonds, flung her into the nearby wall with a sickening CRACK!, and knocked her unconscious. Armand cursed again, "VERONICA!" He quickly withdrew his Explorer's badge and shone it's light on the unconscious Veronica, sending her quickly back to their room, hopefully she'd be okay in the morning. Armand decided to try a different tactic, something he'd seen Veronica do once or twice before. He focused all his Ghost-type energy into a ball in the center of his body and let it build until he was bound to burst. With a rush, it was released from his body is a big purple wave, the Ominous Wind striking the Weavile head on. He didn't expect an actual reaction, but the fact the attack made contact was satisfaction enough. [[Meanie, Nico :< / 1 hit.]]
