The Yakitori Grill
(Outside)
In the center of town, not too far from the hospital, there is a small restaurant that is quickly becoming a favorite of many. With an impressively well designed exterior, the Yakitori Grill boasts the greatest dining experience in the entire village. The door way is often kept open to allow the wonderful smells of freshly grilled yakitori chicken and beef to waft into the village, which would make even the most staunch vegetarian water at the mouth.
(Inside)
On the inside of the building, after passing through a narrow entrance way, the room opens up into a warm and inviting interior where the lighting and decor offers a peaceful atmosphere for it's diners. Comfortable tables are set up throughout the room in blocks, allowing for maximum occupancy, but with enough space in between each table to provide adequate privacy between it's guests. Waitresses carry plates of thinly sliced raw chicken and beef, along with various cooking and dipping sauces pace through the corridors between tables, supplying it's customers with whatever they need.
Most any type of seafood or fish is available, but the restaurant prides itself on it's chicken and beef, which is specially seasoned before being served to the patrons. Customers order meat by the plate, which comes with a variety of sauces and unlimited tea. Each table has a personalized grill that is placed in the center of the table and a long pair of cooking chopsticks, which allows the customer to marinate and cook their meat to their own tastes, while letting the restaurant worry about getting them the supplies.
The Yakitori Grill provides a unique experience and a friendly atmosphere that is inviting to newcomers and veterans of the village alike and is quickly growing to be a local hot spot in Iwagakure.

Aihi enters the grill and takes a set in a corner as the picks up a menu and starts to read. She then signals the waitress that shes ready to order. How may I help you today young lady? the waitress says politely. "yes I'd like a plate of beef and some tea please?" she replied. Ah mmkay it'll be right out. she took her menu and walked off. .. A few minutes later another young woman came and delivered to her a small plate of uncooked beef and a pitcher of tea with a sake cup. Here you are little miss and here is your tea. She then poured her tea for Aihi and sat the rest beside her. lastly she sat a small bowl of sauce beside her for dipping before or after cooking. she then bowed and left. Aihi placed some meat on the grill and let it cook until it was nice and juicy she then dipped it in the sauce she was given she wasnt sure of what it was and took a bite. Her mouth was filled with joy as it was so delicious she could hardly contain herself. she placed the rest of her meat on the grill and waited for them to cook. once all was done she sat quietly and sipped a bit of tea.

Soon Aihi's tea was all gone and her food as well so she cleaned up and left payment to the waiter as well as a tip. she then headed back to the dojo to finish up her training. "Ahh im the perfect kind of full." she said with a small burp as she left.

| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | Walking up to the new grill spot, Shinji could already smell the pleasant scents of grilling in the air as he marveled at how new and inviting the new restaurant looked. Stepping inside past the inviting outer foyer, Shinj and Yamatano walked through the narrow entrance way, only to arrive through the doors, looking into a pristine looking restaurant, which was warm and inviting and filled with good scents. Shinji's stomach churned slightly at taking it all in, but he was disappointed, knowing that no matter how good the scents may be, he would never enjoy the same with tastes. The smell of food plagued him, as if it were a constant taunt of things that would be superb, yet never experienced.
All of this aside, Shinji managed a smile to the waitress as she lead them to a seat, as he happily sat down, Yamatano joining him on his side as they both sat across from Vincent. Leaving them with menus, the waitress then went to get them some drinks. "Wow... nice place. Never been here before, but they did a good job." Shinji said, looking around and marveling at the comfortable lighting and nice decoration. the air was also incredibly cool, but even if he wanted to, Shinji would not detect such a thing as his senses were constantly deadened to such things. bringing himself back to the real reason they were here however, he quickly reprimanded himself and addressed his team... "Business first though, the clue says to "order a dish" and then to ask the waitress "Would you mind grilling this?". They bring you the meat here and you're suppose to grill it yourself, so I guess when she fills our order, we ask her to grill it for us."

Vincent pulled out the scroll and looked through the list to find out which one was the right clue that Shinji had talked about.
"Number 17," Vincent silently remarked and quietly read:
Looking for a place to kick back and rest, or maybe a place to be served as a guest
Don't deny yourself what all bodies need, take some refreshment, taste guaranteed
In the center of town, with rocks all around, sit down and enjoy, grill meat dipped in soy,
In this new growing hot spot, order a dish, but say to the waitress, "Would you mind grilling this?"
He could already feel his own stomach start to silently complain in its protest that it had not eaten since leaving the Ichiraku Ramen stand back at Konohagakure. Vincent wondered if he should order something himself.

| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | As the waitress brought their tea, Shinji was already pouring over the menu, wondering if perhaps 'order a dish' referred to something specific on the menu they had to order. Looking through the menu, none of it really caught his eye as anymore appealing or desirable then anything else as he knew it would all essentially be tasteless in his mouth due to the numbing, but he searched carefully. eventually, he came across one item which was referred to as the 'Party Dish' which served a little bit of everything with a variety of dipping sauces. It was meant for about 6 people... but Shinji was sure he could eat 3 other people's portion easily and thought this would be the best thing to order. In the end, even if the clue did not require such specifics, he figured it was a safer bet this way.
"Hello there." Shinji said to the waitress as she bowed to him and introduced herself... "Are you ready to order?" , "Indeed we are. Running around for these exams is exhausting, so I think we'll order a 'Dish'... the 'Party Dish' to be exact." The waitress smiled at him, knowing full well why he had ordered that particular 'dish'... as she and the rest of the staff had been warned that groups of Genin may come and do just that. It wasn't long of a wait at all before she returned with a large raised plate, another waitress bringing a series of dipping sauces to place around the table to accompany the raw meat, chicken, fish, and shrimp laid before them once it was all cooked.
Just as the waitress was about to walk away however, Shinji quickly stopped her as he smiled coyly, begging her to stay... "I hate to be a burden about this, but 'Would you mind grilling this?'... I think we would all prefer that, don't you agree guys?" With Yamatano nodding in approval, Shinji waited for Vincent to reply in kind.

The waitress continued to smile knowingly and answered, "Of course." Before she began grilling, though, she carefully laid down a set of golden chopsticks, a label around them signalling that they were "artifact #17." Pulling out another pair of chopsticks, this time wooden, the server began to actually grill the meat for the group of genin.

"Looks like that's two for us." Vincent said as he began to eat more of the dishes that had been brought to their table. All of them tasting so very delectable. "We're going to need three more. Any ideas about the next few?"

| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | Smiling as the waitress placed the artifact on the table, Shinji quickly thanked the waitress... "Thanks ma'am, I believe I can take care of the rest myself. Your help is well appreciated." After she had bowed politely and left them to their meal, Shinji up the chopsticks and stashed them away in a different, yet equally secure inner pocket of his shirt, near where he had placed the silver spoon and continued to work the chopsticks masterfully, grilling the food for his team. Unfortunately however, due to the fact that Shinji had no feel for taste or nuance in the art of cooking, he burned a good portion of the first round of meat. it wouldn't matter to him in the end, it was all the same thing in terms of how it tasted, but to the others, they would probably wish to grill their own.
Not even bothering with the sauces, for what would be the point, Shinji ravenously disposed of the food before responding to Vincent... "There are at least 2 other clues which I believe lead to areas in Iwagakure or the surrounding Country. Today, we can stay at my house to rest, and in the morning, when we are allowed to attain another artifact, we can check the parchment once more to see what is left. As we are already in the village, if any of them are near, it should not take long to find them. We should be studying the clues for more leads though in the meantime, just to be safe." Shinji then turned to look at Yamatano, "How about you Yamatano? Do you have any ideas as to where some of the clues may lead to artifacts? Perhaps any which could be found in your own village, or the surrounding country?"

Vincent bowed his head respectfully at Shinji, "You honor me by allowing me to stay in your home. And it does seem like it is quite convenient that there would be others that we can find in this area. It will save us time and energy. And speaking of energy..."
With that Vincent continued to eat with such gusto and enjoying every savory bite.

 Yamatano had barely been listening while he had been eating his meat, lifting his mask up and down so quickly that even a three tomoe sharingan would not see his face. However, things regarding the artifacts were important, So Yamatano took the list and began reading. He wasnt making heads or tails of any of the clues, but the next to last one, number 19, certainly caught his eye. "Freeze? That can only be...........the abandoned village I found on my Patrol!" Yamatano thought as he turned to Shinji. "Shinji-san, I've got one. During a patrol mission through the Land of Water, I came across a small village, covered in snow. It's the only place that fits. Earth country and Wind country are too barren, Fire Country is too hot, and the only snow in Lightning country is at the peaks of the mountains. For artifact #19, we need to go to the Land of Water, my Homeland." he finished, eating yet another piece of meat faster than the eye could percieve.

| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | "Well then..." Shinji said with a smirk on his face, "I guess that settles it. Our next destination will be Mist after we finish up in Iwagakure." Leaving the rest of the meal in semi-silence, Shinji alone consumed about half the meal, only stopping himself from eating more to be polite to the other two. What was nice about this place, even though it had no taste like every other place had no taste, Shinji found the portion sizes to be perfect and the meat perfectly prepared to be grilled quickly.
As the bill came, Shinji took it and paid with a few coins he had still from home and thanked the waitress. 'Well then, if we're finished eating, we should probably get going to my home and get some rest. The next few days may be very easy, depending on the actions of others, or very hard... I guess equally depending on that... ANYWAY, rest is good and we should have it." Scratching the back of his head somewhat nervously with a dumb smile at his own tripping up in words, Shinji waited till the others were finished and then got up, leading them out of the restaurant to the Iwagakure's shinobi houses, and more specifically, to his house.

Yamatano got out of his seat after scooping up the rest of his meat and followed Shinji, taking in everything about this new village. He followed him through the villages towards the homes of Iwagakure, admiring the unique architecture and taking note of the layout of the village. (Exit to Shinobi Houses)

His opponent had tried to fight him with an old injury, and then David had actually pitied him and let them go! He had been so stupid! He should have grabbed the artifact and been done with it, but no, he had to have mercy. When was the last time he had shown mercy?! Dropping into a chair off to the side, the boy let his staff drop, clattering to the floor. Without his gourd, he'd have to find a new way to hold it in place. At a quick signal from the boy, a waiter dropped off some food and ran back to his other customers, obviously not wanting to be near the obviously upset boy. A feeling he rather appreciated at the moment. Throwing the meat on the grill he sat and tried to think of other places they could go. Picking up a different artifact might console him, maybe. The only thing that would truly wipe this stain away though, would be to beat that Iwa brat in a fair fight, not by some stupid gash he never got fixed up. [Chakra Point Total: 19/35]
