Hito Residence A large and widely visited shrine at the outskirts of the Inaba area, near the woods that blanket much of the countryside. Much grander in scale and interest than the local one in the Downtown District, the Hito family has owned it for a long time and the belief that the Shrine affected the weather has caused it to become extremely popular, especially after last year's fog incidents. Well maintained but a number of shrine maidens who have dedicated themselves to simpler things, the place features an aura similar to older Japanese styles and is a soothing place to relax for many. The Priestess or proprietor, depending on the way one asks, is Mataki Hito's mother, the hard working owner who has seen the development into recent success with her keen attitude. Though well known, the Shrine is not dedicated to any particular god and instead to good weather and health for the area around Inaba, which leaves rumors as to weather or not there could be an actual deity presuming over the area (for Summoners, or those who might be interested). Regardless, the prayers have done little to stem the tide of fear lately, but those who stay at the Shrine have seen unusually good fortune, leading it to once again become a popular spot during these troubled times. Front (Just at the top of the stairs, and with Inari Shrine under the red gates)Main Shrine, In FrontRight from entrance*May or may not feel incredibly lame for using this as reference.* XP Well, kind of like that, anyways ^.

Inside of the large complex that made up the often visited Shrine of Inaba, there were many adequate rooms for the people who worked at the humble home, most of which overlooked the broad courtyard leading to the stone stairs which could be climbed in order to reach the temple to pray, a zen garden and the real thing present, a fortune stand nearby with the lead-in gates that marked it's holy sanctity. And leaning in a window overlooking this beautiful garden now was someone who was unable to see any of that, the young future head of the Shrine, Mataki. Mataki sat in the chair, his blank eyes giving the impression of looking out through the clear glass to the world, even though now he could see nothing, whether it was the passing shrine maidens who were hard at work praying and hoping for the best to befall Inaba, or the numerous visitors he had once welcomed himself, hoping to receive a blessing today. "What a beautiful sunset..." Mataki said, the profound words having nothing to do with the keen light that no longer invaded his senses, or the happy chattering that continued inside of the garden despite his own capture within the walls of the building where men were meant to feel the most free. Behind him the door to his room was still locked, and he'd sent away any prior visitors with a pleasant apology while asking them to leave him in peace, few knowing that there was something wrong with him for now, assuming that the student simply faced a hardship that they couldn't assist him with via cooing words and heart-warming friendliness, things that he'd taken for granted before. They were right, it was something that no one could help him with, but no one could have guessed the severity of the tear that was left in his very soul...

Mataki left his bag laying to the side carelessly as he closed the door behind him, sealing himself off from the others in the Shrine who were becoming truly worried at this point. He'd managed to attend school for the Mid-Terms, but his complexion was beginning to pale thanks to the experience at the Carnivale, and while he was no longer wracked with pain, he felt a different sensation, an emptiness in the depths of his body that felt as if eating would be impossible; that using his mouth at this point was pointless, and that it was no longer his own. It was a sobering experience, to have lost control of his own fate, and he was beginning to think he might have lost his mind. What he saw now, what his eyes...saw, were things that did not exist, and even though he thought he could rid himself of his own delirium with the help of his friends, and the others, no one had bothered to think of him in the three days, no one had even spared a word. And slowly he began to wonder if it was just his mind crumbling in around him, or if the world was just filled with such blissful ignorance, in and of itself. "What are these things I see? Is it an illusion?" Mataki thought sitting and raising his hands to either side of his head, clutching them as if to press on it until his own doubts were forced out at last.

Lewis Keys - Mysterious Gigolo"My, you're looking worse for wear," a smooth voice came from the window sill where, if the grape-haired Senior looked, sat a handsome man in fine clothes, lips curled into an easy smirk as his arms crossed over his chest. Surprisingly, there was almost a hint of sympathy in the eye of the unflappable Gigolo, but it was barely there if it was, just enough that if you looked hard enough you could suspect it. His mirthful expression focused on the boy who was suffering in front of him as he pushed up from his position of rest, uncrossing his arms as he looked him over. Mataki had certainly been through a lot; perhaps it was time to let him know what it was all for. "The venom of Skadi's snake is particularly potent. I must say, it's a pleasant surprise you were able to endure it this long," the man called Keys continued as his long fingers slid into the breast pocket of his vest, pulling out a small vial of something and holding it out in the palm of his hand towards the Senior, "Drink this. The other symptoms I could do nothing for, but for this, a tonic should suffice to soothe it. I hope you'll accept this as my...apology."

 Mataki Hito Student Council President
Mataki glanced at the window sill as he heard the voice of his most unpleasant guest. There it was again, the madness within his mind playing with him as he saw both an unrecognizable figure, and the body of the Gigolo who had rigged the end of his Carnivale to punish Mataki in this manner. Neither was a sight for sore eyes, and considering the fact that he was sitting on the window sill as if reaching it were an easy task for any human, Mataki had to doubt his own mind again. Was all of this an illusion, or some torture caused because he'd crossed the paths of the gods? "I realized that you weren't normal, but...is that what you truly are? A demon sent to cause people to suffer, or do you just have some fascination screwing with me!? Sending your poisonous snake after me, was that one of your jokes too!?" Mataki gripped the small alarm clock on his desk, throwing the item towards the Gigolo, causing it to shatter on the wall near him instead as he barely pulled back his grip.
If he wanted to protect the others, but didn't even have enough power to avoid a freak like this, then what was the point!? Either way he no longer had any reason to pretend to be strong. He'd done everything he could for his friends, and he'd entered the Carnivale for Minori and Amelia. Where were they now though? Maybe...maybe it was for the best though. If he was forgotten, then maybe they'd found another friend, or something that made them happy, happy enough for him to be forgotten. In that case, he'd done what he wanted to...even if he was forgotten in the process. He had no more use for a body that did nothing but wrack him with pain, or a mind that showed him these fantasies, to the point he couldn't even attend Yasogami's classes and care for the others. Pretending he'd been struck with some sort of illness had already caused his mother more worry than he ever wanted, and if that was all he could offer at this point, then something had to change..."I don't need your false apologies, or your fake sympathy. All I want is an answer, and the only way to get that...is by playing another one of your damn games." Mataki grabbed the vile, and drank the elixer quietly. Lewis Keys, he was the person Mataki despised the most. But at the moment, the distance between he loved, and what he hated, was becoming irreconcilably small. Whether the Gigolo intended to torment him or not further, if his focus lay with Mataki, then the Senior could at least be satisfied knowing that no one else was being subjected to the sick jokes of the many who fancied himself a lover of humans.

Lewis Keys - Mysterious GigoloAs Mataki hurled his clock towards the Gigolo the man didn't flinch, the pieces shattering in such a way that he wasn't even touched by the debris. His lips remained curled in that same smirk as the boy berated him, blamed him, piled on all of his frustration onto the obvious target...such things were only human, he supposed. And the Gigolo was no stranger to a hot-headed person jumping to the wrong conclusions. "As I said, the snake wasn't supposed to be there...and my fascination is with all people...you are of no particular interest to me save that you won my game," he chuckled to himself enigmatically, "of course, I've given you no reason to believe me. You are free to believe whatever you like." Having given the vial to the boy, he had no real reason to stay any longer in the shrine where he lived. Stepping back and leaning himself against the window for a moment, his arms crossed, eyes appraising the suspicious young character with a hint of mirth inside of them. My, he certainly liked to hear himself talk...or maybe he just wanted to make sure he knew who he blamed for all of this.
"So you want an answer?" the Gigolo smirked once the boy had finished his rant, chuckling under his breath at Mataki's vitriolic disposition, "to what question, I wonder? There are plenty of things I know, that I'm sure are of...interest to you. But I must admit, I'm not particularly keen on sharing them with someone who expresses their gratitude in such a...lukewarm fashion." Watching the boy's reaction a moment longer, he pressed off the wall and started towards the door of the room, apparently ready to leave. At the door he paused and glanced over his shoulder, catching sight of the grape-headed Senior one more time. "I thought they taught you better manners in a shrine, no? Well..." he opened the door, turning his head away, "...soon, you'll more than want those answers. Perhaps then you'll be willing to ask a little more nicely."
Having said his piece, the door closed behind him. Mataki was healed, for now, and the Gigolo was gone.

Amelia M. HeartillyNow being in the outskirts of the town, having passed some woods which was basically a whole different thing than what she was use to, Amelia waited for the swift Sleipnir to lower itself down in order for her to hop right off and regain her footing. She wobbled a little, yeah... because riding a speed demon wasn’t exactly something that she does daily. Her legs felt like jelly after that, but she never thought it was that exhilarating! Left her with a wide grin, no doubt! “Argh!” Amelia took a moment to try and regain her balance, looking around to take in this new environment in the meantime. Green. That was all she could see in the area of the Hito residence. This whole kind of atmosphere was nothing like that of the inside of Inaba or even the city life that she was use to. This was where Mataki lived? A very quaint place indeed. Perhaps the most welcoming thing that she seemed to like about this was the...silence. Looking over her shoulder from where she came, then back to the front of her where the shrine rested, Amelia patted her chest for a moment then stepped forward. Is he alright? Has his sickness worsen? Has it been cured? Those were the top questions that came to mind of this girl. Lewis said that he was going to be fine and that the venom wasn’t going to kill the poor guy. But... still, she had to check on him just to make sure. It was then that she spotted a shrine maid, Amelia giving a wave to her to grab her attention. “Excuse me, but... May I see Mataki Hito?” she asked the maid.

 Mataki Hito Student Council President
The Gigolo's last joke was enough to finally break the wasteful tension as Mataki laughed, even though the other had already disappeared. If he thought flimsy lies, a mascaraed about 'being interested in nobody', and some bad reverse psychology were enough to pull the wool over everyone's eyes, then he wasn't as great a conman as he apparently considered himself to be. Mataki draped a hand over his eyes as he hid the humored expression, the fact that he hadn't gotten any worse from the concoction already evident in the pit of his stomach, where he felt the change. Even if Lewis Keys had managed to ruin what Mataki had been before, he had no intention of becoming a guinea pig much further; he saw a checkpoint where it was, and if he didn't rely on a forked-tongued figure like that, then he wasn't likely to become worse. What had come with this unusual gift, he couldn't quite understand...but he had seen another side of everyone's 'mysterious Gigolo', and it seemed he was a bit less omniscient than he would have liked everyone to believe. It was enough to make the already distraught teenager spit at the very name. Mataki's curse had originated behind the Gigolo's gate, and if Lewis Keys didn't want his little pet's fangs to go to waste, he would have to come back to see Mataki's change through, not the other way around.
Amelia meanwhile had an run-in that was probably a bit more interesting then she'd imagined. The long haired woman she spoke to smiled calmly when Amelia captured her attention, and took the moment to exam the person she'd crossed paths with before laughing just a bit, though without any harm behind it. "Perhaps. Is it your first time visiting this shrine? The main house is up those stairs over there, at the end of the courtyard. Please follow me, I'll escort you there." She said, bowing her head kindly and then turning towards the large steps, rather than stairs, that led upwards maybe ten or twenty feet before leveling off again, into the walled off and beautiful courtyard. On one side was a large Inari Shrine to pray towards the future, and near the front was an offertory box for praying for higher Intelligence, or the well being of others, while nearby was a rather quaint and token luck charm stand; a location where one could pay 100 yen, and might receive any blessing from a warning of the day's impending bad luck, to a boon to their health that could turn one's tiredness into vigor instead. Though this was all superstitious of course to those who believed, it was still capable of catching the eye for a moment, whereas the large buildings behind all of these had the shrine itself, the enormous home of the Hitos who owned it nearly hidden in back behind the active courtyard with dozens of people coming and going, and the separate structure which housed even more rooms for the dozen others who stayed here as servants to Heaven, and who now filled the compound with enough chatter to make Amelia forget that just outside was a large forest and all the green she'd been so surprised by. Even then, there were dozens of Inaba citizens who were praying one last time before returning home for the day, showing that in these days faith had become even more important to the citizens of Inaba, who feared the recent attacks.
The dutiful guide however led Amelia quickly and fondly through the crowd and into the back where normal guests were prohibited, and finally the two came to the large three story building in back that almost made a picturesque home given it's humble origins. "I hope you weren't too bothered by the long walk, I hear the place has been renovated quite a bit recently, so it's much larger than it use to be. You wouldn't happen to be Mataki's girlfriend, would you?" The girl asked as she opened the door, leading Amelia into the living room, far from the bustle that had taken place in the courtyard outside. The ordinary decorations, family heirlooms and such showed quickly that this building wasn't a part of the actual shrine, but the home itself, and pictures of various people as well as Mataki and his mother hung on the wall. Motioning for Amelia to wait, the young woman bowed again and turned to leave the room. "Please wait a moment, I'll call for Mataki and Ms. Hito now." She said, exiting the room in a graceful shuffle in the unusual clothes (well, normal for the place and her job), while more than a few eyes secretly peered into the room from one odd angle or another, near the window, doorway and such. After all, at least a few of the girls had heard the 'girlfriend' remark, and now Amelia could probably feel a few piercing glares as they examined the unfortunate 'competition'.

Amelia M. HeartillyMagnificent! As much as Amelia had tried to catch up with the girl, there were those moments when those curious eyes would look over to the structure and architecture of this very shrine. It wasn’t like anything she has imagined, actually... she was thinking of a more... smaller... kind. Of course from the inside that was enough to just violently shove that kind of thought away from the grand structure which this place had held along with the complementary courtyard which held most of the hustle and bustle of this place. The girl kept to her pace, the girls now going through the crowd and right afterwords that three story place. It was at this point that the raven haired girl was surprised with just what was before her, this sort of shrine mansion being the actual home of Mataki Hito along with his family. “Huh...” Amelia had to rub her neck for a moment, her eyes still taking in the so-called “house” before she heard the soft muttering that the attendant made.”Ah, thank you...” A certain word was enough to snap her back. “What? No, not at all.” she gave a wave of her hand with an uneasy smile on her. But it looked like the girl was back into the mode of duty, Amelia taking off her shoes before she stepped inside of the room. Amelia gave off a nod towards the girl, a whole calm sort of aura starting to befall the rich girl as she waited for the residents of this place to call for her. She felt that she was getting back into her roots of the high life while she waited. What, with the ways it seemed to be, the greeting and the use of a servant rather, she couldn’t help but see it as such. It was like a little trigger, and so started that little auto-play of rules going through her head in which she had to constantly hear. Stay properly where you are until you’re called in, never act as if the place is your own no matter the relationship you have with the owner of the place. And keep your mannerisms in tip top shape. Still, that didn’t mean that her curious eyes were going to be staying put, considering she just got a little sample of just what Mataki lives through, she couldn’t help but be curious with the things around her as she waited in silence. The family pictures, well, every home had them... and more than likely a picture timeline of the Hito’s son if he was an only child. Something was digging into her shoulder though, something that was starting to get at her shoulder. This was also a familiar feeling... That dig of a dagger at the back of your neck, head, and/or shoulder. But like the rules that went through her head earlier, so came another auto-play of how to handle it. Just don’t acknowledge or engage the givers of daggers. More like, drink in the envy or jealousy that they were feeling.... And so came that familiar throb inside of the girl’s head, a wince starting to show along with a rub of her forehead. Either way she had to be patient.

 Mataki Hito Student Council President
The unfortunate air around Amelia didn't stay long as the word seemed to get around that she'd declined the idea that Mataki and her were in some sort of relationship and after a moment the prickly feeling seemed to go away. Shortly after shuffling could be heard and then muffled voices, before the doors opened and a number of girls found themselves almost falling through the door (well one actually did) as they ended up in the same room as Amelia, apparently shirking their duties. "Oh, hello! Please excuse the intrusion." "Wow, I didn't know there were still such cute girls at Yasogami! You're Ms. Heartily right? l've seen you around Junes before." "So what's Mataki look like in his school uniform? He always leaves school early and we're busy with the visitors in the afternoon so we never get to see him!" "Does he ever study with you? He always gets excellent grades, if only I hadn't been a year older than him in school. I bet he leans in close when he shows you problems~!" "Kyaaa!" The chatter was more or less what you'd expect of a number of girls, most of them seemingly just out of high school or slightly older, the common age here obviously much younger than a normal shrine. Still, everywhere had one or two unusual aspects, and the talkative girls had to be much different from what Amelia had been thinking a moment ago as she tensed up; a friendly atmosphere amidst what seemed like one of the tensed jobs, though that was true in many respects. It seemed that despite Amelia's apparent concern since the introduction had been a bit less than friendly, they were after all nothing to be taken seriously with a lighter, friendlier atmosphere than she could probably have guessed; more like a group of classmates from school talking about the boy they liked, rather than the jealous types, not old enough yet to have matured to go about their job quietly. "I think you all have duties to attend to, please leave our guest alone. Last one out has to wax the floors for a week." Sadly the chatter was ruined as all heads almost instantly turned towards someone dressed differently, a woman who clearly carried a more mature air about her than the others with long, flowing hair and an ornate design rather than the usual haori and hakama the others wore. Though the design made it seem different from others, Amelia probably wouldn't notice, and the air in the place was fairly different than at other temples, if not perhaps for the better with the kindness that seemed to greet guests who wished to seek help from the Heavens.
After the room cleared the woman smiled, having heard a bit about Amelia before she came to the living room, and motioned for Amelia to join her sitting down as she did so herself. "Please, have a seat. I made some tea, if you'd like to have a drink. You're miss Heartily, right? Mataki's talked about you before, so I recognized you right away. I'm Sumire Hito, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She laughed after introducing herself, apparently happy to have met someone from Mataki's school after so long. There had been people before of course, but it seemed like Mataki had talked about Amelia and Minori a bit more than the others, and his mother had taken note of this at once. "You're just as he described you, and I thought that son of mine was good for nothing but describing every girl as the most beautiful person he'd ever met. I guess this time he didn't exaggerate much though. I apologize for the others, they can tend to be a bit...exuberant at times. Mataki seems to be a bit ill right now, but if it didn't bother you too much I wanted to meet one of his friends. Hardly anyone comes to visit him here at home, and these last few days he's seemed especially distant. I hope it didn't trouble you too much coming out here, we're so far away from the center of Inaba." She said, laughing and taking a sip of the tea after she poured a cup for both of them politely, though she didn't seem too attached to manners now that it was just the two of them. Despite the way she made her living, in this home they were just an earnest family, and more effort had went into separating her job and taking care of Mataki than anyone cared to admit. Even so he'd apparently become a kinder person than most expected, even though a few people had jested to the Student Council President's mother that were he a delinquent, he wouldn't be any less popular. Unlike Amelia however, the person sitting before her now was trying to be as kind as possible, while inwardly none of them knew what had caused his most recent illness, and worry dampened the atmosphere that usually seemed much more jovial, though few were around enough to notice that. In the end, only she knew what had happened to Mataki, and even his mother was beginning to be affected because no one knew that he'd been bitten by the snake, except Amelia.

Amelia M. HeartillyAmelia didn’t know what hit her when the daggers left her, suddenly seeing herself being surrounded by girls with anticipated questions, statements, compliments... chaos. The girl was taken off guard by this wave, her hands lifting up in some defense as she tried to keep her cool from the sudden river of words hitting her all at once. The poor girl was getting an ear-full, that trapped voice never escaping her mouth to answer the questions and question the statements that these girls were blabbering about. Weren’t these girls just a tad little older than she? Especially Mataki? They were starting to talk like first to second years by the way they spoke, including the one who just squealed out. Ouch! Amelia took a step back, feeling herself being cornered with nothing but these words until the chatter was suddenly silenced by a much more mature sounding voice. This gave Amelia to move away from the girls, taking a breather of relief and space until she was able to look up at the woman who spoke. The student tilted her head to the possible head of the shrine, noting the difference in wardrobe and just how she addressed the very servants that just now started to skitter off like mice from a cat. The girl couldn’t help but sense some sort of warmth from this woman, having a look of wonder to her before placing together that this was most likely the mother of Mataki. Being motioned, Amelia bowed in her properness then did as she was told. “Oh, thank you.” Amelia sat herself down on the table, placing her bag and parasol at the side of her and would nod to the question of just who she is. “The pleasure is mine.” Another bow of the head. And as the kind woman spoke, Amelia couldn’t help but have a bit of a surprised look on her face along with a soft tint of pink on the cheeks. She didn’t know that she was mentioned, nor described as such... Still, it didn’t help but bring some uneasiness as Mrs. Hito spoke to her with a clear worry forming into her voice as Amelia watched the home tea being poured for the both of them. She didn’t know, did she... Mataki never told her? The girl couldn’t help but feel a little something stir up in her chest, a rather unpleasant weight that seemed to get heavier the more this mother talked. It was in definition of a guilt trip going on within her along with the mental kick that she should’ve visited the day after the incident. Or maybe even tend to the parents that it would be alright, but she didn’t know that Mataki was going to be secretive about it. It was possible that he wanted to keep the image of the good boy in his mother’s eyes. With an apology of the trip that Amelia had taken to get here, the girl would only wave her hand with an easy smile to her. “No, no...” she urged, reaching for the cup of tea to bring to her lips. “It wasn’t a problem, I assure you.” Especially when you have a demon horse of speed at your command, who needs cars or buses? Go out in supernatural style! A sip was taken, that herbal warmth starting to fill her with a wonderful, calm luxury that it gave off in her body as if to settle down her unease. “Mmn... It’s good.” she sighed, placing the cup down and then nodded to the woman. “Thank you. But, if it’s alright with you I was hoping to check up on him myself to see how he has been doing.” Amelia smiled some, running an idle hand through some strands of her black hair. “Being a friend of his, couldn’t help but worry, yes?” She was hoping that she didn’t come off as rude...

 Mataki Hito Student Council President
Mataki's mother took another drink of the tea and smiled, apparently glad that Mataki had such a sensible friend amongst the odd types he seemed to attract, sometimes not unlike the group that was here a moment ago. "I'm glad you like it. To be honest, he use to take care of things around here and make tea until recently, but with things like this I've had to pick up some of my own skills. I apologize if it's a bit rusty...the tea I mean, you wouldn't believe how old that dish was." Ms. Hito smirked for a moment before laughing again, clearing washing away the apparent 'concern' from a moment ago as the joke disappeared into the folds of time, just as every moment that passed seemed to quickly enough. "I'm kidding obviously. But, Ms. Heartily, I'm sure you understand. Letting you go and check up on him personally would be like letting a girl visit a boy's room all alone, just to spend some time together. You don't seriously think I'm ready to let what's implied to happen in that situation take place do you? Or perhaps you though a mature woman such as myself was older than to remember what you teenagers are like on the dating scene, huh!?" The owner of the Hito residence wore a large smile, but the twinkle of death caught in her eye, the enormous glare that refused to match her expression, and the claw like hand that rose from under the clothing showed signs that Amelia might have the life strangled out of her at any moment as a creepy laugh began to utter against the girl for a few seconds, the near death warrant of a younger girl by a mother laid bare with the still dripping wet ink of the pen that had only to sign the execution notice. There was a wrath to be felt that no one could ever possibly match coming from a protective mother, and Amelia might have tripped that line at just that moment!
A moment later though the laughing subsided and she blinked, closing her eyes at last with a sigh before glancing to the side, a forlorn gaze replacing the excitement from a moment ago. "Don't worry, I know it's nothing like that. Mataki's always been popular with girls, but I don't think he's ever really committed himself to liking someone before. In truth, he's locked his door and refused to open it for a few days. I keep knocking, but I don't think he'll respond to me. I'm worried that there's something troubling him, and he won't let me help." Ms. Hito raised a hand to her face to cover the distraught expression, bearing with the poignant emotionless distress well despite the feelings she couldn't wipe away, though experience had helped her become strong enough not to let it become too visible on her face. Still, what had been happening wasn't something that could be easily forgotten or forgiven, and no matter what Mataki had only apologized and asked for silence for now. "Even when his father and I went our separate ways he always tried to maintain his composure the best he could, and came to live with me, knowing I couldn't run this place on my own. After that decision, when he was only a child, he's always tried to bottle up his feelings and handle things without burdening me with his problems. I know whatever it is must be troubling him deeply if he refuses to let me into that room. Even so I..." She paused again, and took a moment to figure out what was going through her head before finally shaking it to clear things, and smiling again. "Look, I'm letting the tea cool. Please, I'm sorry. Anyways if you want to try, his room is on the second floor. You can knock, but if he invites you in you know how to respond, right? Boys these days are scoundrels, you have to be the one to execute them if they go too far." She said, pseudo-cracking her knuckles again with the same warning from the grave expression as before, before laughing again and letting it go away this time, clearly using it for fun rather than any serious threat. "Though Mataki wouldn't do that, I'm sure. if there's anything you can do, please help him until he's better. Thank you." She said, bowing and standing finally, with a sigh of relief. Smiling confidently as she examined Amelia again, Ms. Hito seemed a bit more reassured this time. "I have to return to my duties; running a Shrine's not like some family business you know, there are people seeking guidance twenty-four seven. If you're ever in need of guidance or just want to talk, feel free to stop by again. I'm sure you've already experienced the other girl's warm welcomes." She said, laughing as the icy glares seemed to return again momentarily before disappearing again, just as she headed for the door to the room, meaning to leave Amelia be for the time. Normally she might have asked more, but for now Mataki continued to be the thing that took her concern the most and maybe, just maybe, Amelia would be the person who could help him snap out of whatever caused him to close himself off from those he truly cared about.

Amelia M. HeartillyThat woman is nuts! Basically the impression that she’s gotten from Mataki’s mother, having herself gone from a defensive to a sudden open ear and listening type. It didn’t help, though, that the icy glare had gotten to her from the mother before she left the girl alone, Amelia at a loss on just how to respond to her protective ways towards her son. Though, gathering the information from the stories, the good, seemingly bipolar woman she guessed that perhaps she was merely clinging to the only thing that she had left. Well, Mataki, good luck in introducing a girlfriend or a fiancé to the good mother. For some reason that very thought reminded her of a foreign movie... But enough about that, now was the time to get in touch with the unfortunate Mataki. Thinking about him and the little life story, Amelia never thought that he would bare that much pressure unto his shoulders, what with the responsibilities and the like. Going through the events of the school, taking care of a constantly busy shrine, studies, and the Man-Of-The-House bit? Must be tiring... “The second floor...” Amelia had started out of the room to get herself to the second floor through a flight of stairs, still starting to wonder if perhaps Mataki has gotten into a state of depression through the bite. But what was it that his mother meant by “You know what to do.” and the whole execution bit? ... Amelia had to tilt her head for a moment before shaking it and started through the hallway to find his room. He shouldn’t be that bad... Her pace got a little faster. What if it was bad? What if it had worsen? What if he’s been suffering? What if, what if, what if– cool it! Amelia took in a breath to try and suppress the thoughts that were leading to a darker road, patting her chest for a moment before she found herself in front of a door, her hand now reaching up. There was a moment of hesitation, but then a audible knock was done. “Mataki?” she called through the door.

 Mataki Hito Student Council President
A clicking sound alerted Amelia that the lock was being undone, and then...the door behind her swung wide, as Mataki emerged from the shower he'd been taking a few minutes ago. "Hey! What are you doing here?" Mataki asked with a towel draped around his waist, with another hanging over his long purple hair as he continued to rub his head dry for a minute, as if he were oblivious to the condition he'd just come out in. "What's up, something you wanted to talk about?" Mataki asked quizzically, showing no sign of embarrassment despite the unchanging level of dress as he continued to wait for Amelia to respond. Was he in reality aware of just what he was doing? Perhaps. But if so, was he doing it for a particular reason, or was he just seeing what kind of reaction he could provoke from Amelia with the sudden sight of somewhat toned physique and few clothes to greet her? Well, lets just say the mysteries deepened. "Say, you haven't seen the slime in a purple suit lately have you? I suppose he thought I would end up asking for his help after I got bitten or something, but as it turns out, not everyone's willing to trust a snake in the grass so easily. I'm sure he's fuming somewhere right now." Mataki leaned against the doorway beside him on the arm that had been holding the towel on his head, the cloth falling to the floor while his purple hair now hung freely behind him, still filled with drops of water here and there, not yet addressed and thus different from how it usually looked at school.

Amelia M. HeartillyNow, this was a complete one-eighty in what Amelia had originally expected. From the way that Ms. Hito had spoke of her son, what she was expecting was a Mataki looking drowsy, dragged, pale... Maybe with some serious baggy eyes and unkept, greasy hair! Sick and weak! Something that wasn’t... this! Her face was fuming with bright scarlet on the cheeks, her eyes instinctively taking in the sudden eye-candy that was before her. From the damp wild hair, to the toned physic as well as that note that he just had a towel on, the inexperienced girl couldn’t stop that hot red. That worried mind now joggled and turning to some mush, she didn’t know what to say now with her mouth open. Even his words went over her. Amelia suddenly shook her head, having a moment in trying to rebuild that calm before she spoke. “You... you!” She suddenly turned away with a frustrated tone, her hand rubbing her head at that embarrassing display while she tried to collect herself. At least this way she wouldn’t have to look at him! “Go put some pants on! I swear, when you have someone knocking on your door, you should be polite and have some decency!” Didn’t help that her face was so red, it would make even the roses jealous of such a hue. Hell, that heat was practically radiating, off her cheeks but the newfound frustration was enough to cool her down now. “Sheez, have... some... courtesy!” Cool, calming... she was getting there. “Put on a shirt, too!” It was as if she was making sure that she was going to be caught in that blushing mess with him. Seriously now, just what was all that about. Even by her voice, he could’ve gotten the hint that it was her at the door and not one of the attendants or his own mother. It’s like he did it on purpose!
