Mora's paws carried her through the large, sparsely-tree covered field with hushed sounds. It was so hot out that even the birds had stopped singing under the stifling weight of the day's heat. Mora had very little energy in her to walk, let alone put any effort towards looking for a meal, a , or paying attention to her surroundings. It was a little dangerous, but Mora had been a loner since puphood (technically), and she wasn't too concerned about being set upon by anyone else.

Aside from walking, her only energy was being dedicated to looking for a good shady spot along the edges of the woods or a stream somewhere in the forest a good distance away from her. She could do with a drink of water and a place to cool off until some of the heat of the day had passed. What had possessed her to make her come into a scorching field on a summer day like this? She smiled wanly and lowered her head to look at the ground briefly, giving her neck muscles a rest.

It was a nice change from the usual trees, even if it is hotter. Still...

With a sigh that was more of a pant, she altered her path to go diagonally towards the shady treeline. She'd be more likely to scent a stream in the woods if she was actually in the woods.

Tarie was rolling around in the mud. Normally she loved warm weather, but to day it was just too hot. She thought the mud might cool her off for a little bit, it would just mean she would have to clean herself later that night. After she finished rolling around she got up and headed down the path.

It bugged her that it was so quiet. She liked it loud and noisy, with a little bit of chaos thrown in.

It would be nice to travel with someone This 'loner' stuff isn't as fun as I thought it would.

She headed into the forest. As she walked she felt bugs making their way threw her dirty fur. Occasionally she would have to stop and scratch herself because of the bugs.

Maybe it wasn't the best of ideas to roll around in mud. I guess I need to find some water to get this mud off me.

Mora discovered more than just a stream. As soon as she caught the soft burble of a stream she also caught sight of another wolf. She stayed still a moment, knowing that her pelt gave her a distinct advantage in summer settings, and stared at the muddy figure walking some distance away. From some of the semi-clean patches, it looked as if the wolf were likely bright, but it was hard to tell when she was so filthy. Mora tilted herhead, judging from size, movement, and overall appearance that her company was female.

Why was she so dirty? A fight with another wolf? She didn't look injured... Mora mentally shrugged it off as not her business. Still, the female seemed to be heading the same way, so Mora prepared herself for a potential confrontation and continued moving. She easily caught up with the other wolf, getting close but not infringing on the female's personal space. Hopefully this would be a positive encounter; it was far too hot for her to get into a fight, although she knew very well she could take care of herself. Aunt Elaine had taught her plenty when Mora visited.

"Hot afternoon," Mora noted without smiling or acting submissive, but still being friendly and attentive. "Heading for the stream?"
