General Appearance:Tannis loves to wear tighter clothing - but not the skanky kind. She likes form-fitting sweaters and skinny jeans, which is what she usually wears. A graphic tee/longsleeve, a thin sweater, a belt or two, skinny jeans and any of a variety of shoes.
Her clothing tends to be darker, but she is known to have a few lighter colored clothes.
She's in good health and, despite her small size, can be intimidating if she flexes her toned arms.
Personality:Tannis's always been a nice girl. She's sincere and quiet, but by no means is she a loner. She just likes her quiet time as good as anyone - and would pick tea-time over large crowds 8 times out of 10.
She's very slow to anger and quiet able to ignore anything she feels is annoying. However, she has a tendency to hold grudges for years on end. She's working on that, though.
Tannis is a very active person who enjoys hiking, running and yoga. She balances that with poor sleeping habits - she stays up until early morning hours with a good book - and the occasional baking spree.
Generally, Tannis won't take the first step in a relationship, but if she is interested in knowing the other person and they seem to be just as quiet or more so than she is, she'll initiate that connection. But she prefers to listen more than talk.
She's not easily emotional or sentimental. Her belief system is built kind of like a Buddhist - she believes that everything is temporary, suffering is a choice she may choose to avoid and if she just goes with the flow, things'll be okay.
Though all the above may make her sound like a quiet personality, she's got a quick wit and is very loving with people she's already built relationships with.
Likes:Tea, solo sports, sun and fluffy white clouds, old jazz and blues, and watermelon.
Dislikes:Obnoxious people, rap, trashy romance novels (it's a story in it's own), monkeys and beer.
History:Tannis is the youngest in a family of four - her Father of French descent, her mother of Chinese-Canadian descent and her older brother. She has been raised speaking English and French, though she studies in English-only. Her brother, however, studies in French and it is rare that he speaks to her in English.
Originally, Tannis was going to study Industrial Design, but experiences in the retail field as well as through volunteering with her family (mostly her older brother), showed her that she was absolutely a people-person. She decided to switch into Human Resources with an aim to help build companies who truly cared about the world.
Her love of tea also began through volunteering with her brother. He's truly an outdoorsman and
loves going out and helping farmers in the third-world with their harvests. Tannis tags along sometimes and during one trip to Africa, she and her brother were treated to some amazing Rooibos tea. Ever since, she's been the first to know about a new teashop in town and the first to recommend a tea to someone - though she admits she'll mostly recommend it based on taste instead of any actual result.
