The female had wandered away from her pridelands for a brief time this morning. She still enjoyed exploring, and sometimes a little solitude was a magical thing. The further she got from the lands, the less the voice in her head echoed. She almost missed hearing it right now.. She was so used to it.
But she would return to the lands, and then she knew her muse would be raring to go. Maybe it just was hard to have a muse when you were excited about exploring. Juno was a sweet girl, having never been the angry type. She was more a tomboy, than a lioness, and she preferred to get dirty and play silly games. She was carefree, and she enjoyed a little mischief now and then.
In her new life, however, she had calmed a bit and had taken over as a huntress in her new pride. She was happy there, and she knew that she would always be..
But she felt alone, and it was something a new pride had not fixed.

The girls were napping for the afternoon, after a long romp in the tall grasses and then a hunting lesson, which he was quiet sure he was failing at, Xanthus rose to his paws and moved towards the sound of water that didnt seem to far off.
He wasn't worried about leaving his girls alone, he was never far from the pair, and they knew it as well.
The sight of a lioness not to far off in the distance, caused him to pause, ears pulled forward as he gave a listen.

She began humming to replace the voices she now missed in her head. She smiled as she hummed, lime eyes gleaming with excitement. She had always been an excitable girl, always wanting fun. Though observation of others had her knowing when to not say certain things. She had once always said what was on her mind.. though sometimes it slipped. She just had to get it out sometimes!
"La Dee Dah, La dee dah," She began singing, swaying side to side. Once the words were sung, she began humming once more.
Though her ears perked and she stopped dead after a few seconds of her song.
Seeing the big lion wasnt hard, he obviously dwarfed the lands he stood in. But she herself was a bigger lioness, as she had hailed from the Kunanda lands.. Lionesses were meant to be large and built. She was no different.
"Hello!"

His brow arched curiously at the..humming lioness, he couldnt help but chuckle and give his mane a shake of amusement, to be so young! He thought with a grin, he didnt generally feel his age, but after a good romp and then watching her for even this brief moment, he did.
"Hello.." His deep voice boomed out, he was used to the reaction his voice had on the wild-life around him. His head fell in a deep bow of greeting, he knew not many still did this but he felt the manners and beliefs his parents taught him still within his bones.

She did not shy from his voice, and instead came forward. She had a half grin plastered to her face. Her eyes seemed to dance as she approached, excited at her new find. A new lion.. yet somehow he was a tad familiar to her in look. She arched an eyebrow, craning her neck to look at him as she got closer.
"Have we met?" She asked, flicking her tail and admiring his yellows. Yellow was her favorite color. It was bright, yet gorgeous. She felt proud of her yellow spots, even if they were very few.
"You look familiar.." She knew this might be rude, but being the youth at heart she was, she chuckled.
"Sorry.. Im Juno."

He couldnt help but grinned as she didnt shy away from him, though he didnt like it when any did. The mother of his daughters had fled from him in fear the night they had first met, he didnt enjoy that memory.
"I do not think we have miss, for surely I'd remember such a stunning lioness." He said with a nod of his head, he was a friendly lion, and felt lionesses deserved to be complimented since it seemed not many knew what gems they were these days.
"I do?" He pondered for a moment.
"Its a pleasure Juno, I am Xanthus."

She had never been teh type to fear others. It was sort of her flaw in life, as sometimes there were others who needed to be feared. She paid it no mind, however, as she felt sure that she would never run across anything she couldnt handle. Up until this point, she had been right.. but who knew with her future.
She nodded, looking him over and smiling at the cub she clearly remembered. What a sweet little thing she had been.. Talking about finding someone for her father, and being close to him at that. Juno loved to hear others being close to each other.. She hadnt really been close to her family, and in turn, she had longed for nothing more than a family of her own.
"Indeed! A little cub I met not long ago. She looked just like you, though.. She was slightly different." She chuckled.
She hoped that made sense, though she knew clearly it may not.
"Xanthus, what a nice name. Tis a pleasure to meet you as well!" She smiled at the handsome male.

At the mention of the little cub who looked like him, Xanthus let out a snort of a laugh and grinned. So, his girls were out making friends while he was busy were they?
Pride for his girls swelled within his chest at the thought. They were taking after him quiet a great deal it seemed.
"Her name wouldnt have been Zarimunia would it? Zari for short? And if so, that would have been my daughter, up to no good of course." He said with fatherly pride echoing in his eyes.
"Xanthus Rami is my full name, it means golden boy or something like that..Though, I never, or almost rarely go by it. Zari tends to use it when she thinks I need to be punished." He chuckled. "And aye, it is a great pleasure indeed meeting you." He smiled at the beautiful female before him.

"Yes!" She cried out in a childish way, but then lowered her excited tone and blushed.
"Sorry, but yes! Adorable little thing she was. I liked her a great deal, and I told her I would just have to see her again. I guess I kept to that, by meeting you."
She said with a smile, though she couldnt help batting her eyelashes.
He was handsome, and she liked him. Her eyes lit up, and she too swelled with pride at the mention of his daughter. She liked her a great deal, and Zari had seemed to like her alot as well. She had made a friend, be it a cub or not. Cubs were just as capable of being friends.
"Oh I bet shes just a handful of adorable." She chuckled, and flicked her tail side to side.
"One day, I shall be a mother too. If any male could stand being around me long enough I guess." She giggled.

He could only chuckle, "So, your what she was whispering about to her sister. Apparently I was not to know.." He could only grin and give a shake of his head, his girls were a pair of trouble sometimes.
To bad for him, he wasnt aware of their plans to find him a mate, and that they had set their eyes on Juno.
"Aye, she is..so much spirit and feisty, I doubt I'll have any troubles when it comes to males sniffing around her. She'll put em in their place all on her own.." He couldnt help but shake his head, taking away his fatherly duty she would indeed.
"Ah Juno, I doubt you have trouble with finding males. Your a very beautiful lioness, and seem to have a heart of gold, if my daughter liked you well enough to share her day with you with her sister,than its true. She has an amazing judge of heart already.."

When he spoke to her, she felt her cheeks redden into a blush. Something that was a first for her. The tomboy had never really been prissy or much for the cutesy talk.. But she liked this alot.
"Oh well then she remembers me!" She said happily, glad she had made an impact on a young ones life. Of course, she remembered the conversation that they had had before and she chuckled with a bemused grin.
"Well they did say something along the lines of they were playing matchmaker for their daddy. If thats you, then I assume you have little troublemakers on your paws." She teased, though she knew they were no troublemakers.
"And thats a good thing. Its how I was raised, and I think I turned out just fine. Of course, Im alone in a new pride. So maybe a new life was what I needed."
She resonded, and looked at him with a gleam in her eye.
"Thank you.. Youre quite handsome yourself. I dont see why someone like you would have a hard time finding anyone to be your mate. Id think the female should have to feel honored." She nodded, and she was telling the truth. He was a large lion, of pretty color, and seemed to also have a good heart. Something that.. she had been looking for for a long time.

He noted the light blush to her cheeks, darkening the already dark color, he couldnt help but grin at the sight, feeling like a young lion once more.
Though her next set of words, make his golden orbs widen greatly. "They're doing what?!" He said in complete and total shock. "Oh those two.." He shook his head, now he was embarrassed, his daughters were mate hunting for him! What would any right minded lioness think of such a thing? That he couldnt even get a girl on his own without the aid of his very, cute, very much in trouble offspring.
"Aye, you seemed to have grown up just fine indeed. Though, I do plan on threatening any male interested in any of my daughters within an inch of their lives. As every father has the right to do.." He grinned, he was a gentle fellow, but hurt those he loved, and you would see a very different lion hot on your tail.
Now it was his turn to blush, he couldnt help it! "Ah, well..It just seems fate has had other plans for me. None of which I regret, but you cannot know the worthy feeling of love, until youve felt the pain that can come along with it." He nodded somberly for a moment, before eyeing her, something about this lioness, seemed to be pulling at him..like only one other in his life had, and he had failed her...He'd never forget that.

She smiled and pawed at him gently.
"Oh they meant you no harm. In fact, I thought it was rather charming. It shows how much they love you, you know. Most cubs I see, dont want their father or mother getting with anyone else. Its sort of that..Hes mine and you cant have him sort of mindset."
She chuckled, and sat on her rump, looking up into his eyes, and feeling her heart beat a little faster. Oh dear heavens..Was she crushing on this male? She knew she should just walk it off, but she had never really had a crush on anyone before. She hadnt really given anyone the chance to get that close to her. She had been too ready to forget her old life, that when something came into her life at that point... she had just tried to push past it and ignore it.
"Ive aged well, though I have scars on me that are less than visible." She smiled, and let her tail flick behind her legs, and into the grassy lands.
"I am sorry you have lost so much." She replied when she saw the pain in his eyes. She stood, and nuzzled into his neck. Not really as a show of affection, but to show him that someone out there did care that he felt so hurt. She would be there for him if he needed.
When she realized what she did, she backed away and blushed again.
"Oh my, Im so sorry." She giggled nervously.

"I love my daughters, all four of them are something I treasure more than my own life. And I know they think Im lonely, and they know well and full that their mother and I, are not meant to be more than friends..Ive not got an evil bone in my body, and shes got a demon within hers. It just wouldnt ever work." He nodded, "But, I am thankful theyve learned to share.." He chuckled with a grin, shaking his head with slight amusement.
Xanthus had done many things in his life, and none of them he would ever forget, it was what made him, himself. And trying to forget things, would change what he was, and that, he would never be willing to do.
"Aye, Ive got many scars on this rough hide. Each one a memory, or lesson I needed to learn, one way or another." He nodded his head, as she nuzzled into his neck, his heart swelled into his throat, the sweet scent of her drafted into his senses, and he couldnt help but nuzzle the top of her head lightly, affectionately, he was an affectionate male.
He couldnt help but stare after her as she withdrew from him, but he understood, and smiled. "There is no reason to be sorry Juno..none."

When he nuzzled her back, she was surprised, though she couldnt say she didnt enjoy it. She enjoyed it alot, and it made her heart swell.
She almost squeaked out her next response, but did her best to gain control of her voice.
"You dont think its too forward of me? You must think me not much a lady."
She replied, though it was true..She wasnt very ladylike and she knew it. But she didnt want this male seeing her as some ruffian.
She liked to react on instinct, and her instinct had made her..need to touch him just then.
"I..Its not like me. Though, I dont think I regret it."
She replied.
