Give me some background.: Kai grew up in an orphanage, never knowing his father. His mother had given him up on demand from the government due to her lack of mental and physical attention to him. Her financial bills had piled up and her love for Kai dissipated. The government had arrived after a claim of domestic violence against children, landing Kai's mother in jail, and a bounty on his father, though he was nowhere in sight. Kai then entered school after being adopted not too long after. His adoptive parents died 10 years later when Kai turned 23. Since then, he has worked with his mecha suit, doing the jobs he loves.
