Has anyone ever heard of The Thief Series?

The series actually goes in this order:
1) Thief: The Dark Project
2) Thief II: The Metal Age
3) Thief: Deadly Shadows
4) Thief IV (This one they are still working on!)

The first one I played out of the series was Thief: Deadly Shadows. I did not know there was two games before this one due to the fact that it can be played on its own with the need to have played the other ones like some games do. But it is considered the third one in the series and was made sometime after the team and company went out of business. Now they are currently working on the fourth Thief game and it should be released sometime next year or so. biggrin

The Thief Series is considered to be one of or actually the first game to have started the Stealthy or First-Person-Sneak games. I absolutely LOVE stealth or sneak games! The storyline the game puts you through is a very mysterious, twisting, and even down right scary when playing it. (Although I do not know if the first two are this way cause I still have to buy them but the third one is like this!) Even better is the fact that these games manage to mix both magic and technology together. It also puts you in a time period that is similar to a dark age/steam punk middle age world.

I also have play Condemned: Criminal Origins. It could be considered a stealthy game as well and it pretty intense too. It features a modern world with twisted criminals and probably equally as twisted magical aspect as well. So I enjoyed that game as well...well maybe not the so-jumpy-I-kept-scaring-myself aspect but it was still awesome! sweatdrop But I cannot seem to find very many good stealthy, sneaky, mysterious, and mind working games.

So if anyone has heard of these or played it I would love to know! Plus, if you have any other games you would consider sneaky or stealthy games would you name them please? heart
