Aphrodia had been having the most wonderful dream. She had met a lion. Dark and strong. But she knew he was soft inside, not as scary as he looked. She had gotten a kiss and had been accepted as the males mate in the dream. She smiled and snuggled into the cozy fur under her face....wait...fur? She opened her eyes. Black as night fur greeted her sight as she sat up and looked down at the large, rather sexy male next to her.
It hadn't been a dream! It was all real! She had someone in her life now! Someone to help look after herself, when she got clumsy. And someone to keep her safe from the bad carosel's. Her heart fluttered as she remembered that the kiss had been real and she snuggled back into his neck, her tail flicking happily as she thought about this, still hoping that it wasn't a dream like she had been thinking it had been.
She lay there with him. Looking around the cave and wondering if his sister would be back soon or if she would get to enjoy more alone time with Lust.Spicy Marmalade! Now that it's exploded into being, seize hold of this evening's chance.

As with most cats lust had spent most of the night catnapping, a semi-sleep state that allowed all his sences to be on full alert while getting some rest. It was an ideal sleep, not as restoring as allowing himself to sleep deeply. But that would come with time, with trust... plus Desire was still no where to be seen. That angered his Lion's heart. He didn't like not knowing anything. As the saying went - Curiousity killed the cat. He was sure one day that would be the truth.
Yawning a little, more for show than need, he let his mate ruffle his mane and fur as she got to know his scent and smell. In truth lust didn't mind, it would make their scents mix, covering her in his -there was no better way of protecting her. Anyone who smelt her would get the 'Piss off' vibe that his scent would produce.
A soft purr rumbled in his tummy and up his throat. The very idea really did please him.
"Morning." He said to Aphrodia.

Aphrodia looked up at him as he yawned and said morning to her. "Oh hello. I didn't wake you did i?" she asked sitting up not sure if he liked her snuggling his mane. She smiled and swished her tail around her feet and looked at him. "Did you sleep ok?" she asked softly as she looked around again, making sure that they were alone. She smiled and shook some dirt out of her fur from sleeping on the ground and looked at Lust.
"Should we go hunt soon? I'm a little hungry now." She said with a giggle as she looked over her mate. Her Lust. She smiled and wiggled a little, her brain and heart so excited over the idea that she wasn't alone anymore.

"No you didn't wake me!" He said, hiding a smile. How could she not have realised he would stay mostly awake all night? He couldn't risk letting anything hurt her -that and Desire wasn't home. He nodded to indicate that he had slept well, he didn't think she would appreciate being told that he didn't really sleep at all -just catnapped.
At the mere mention of food he felt like his stomach was in a knot, yet Lust was used to hunger. Maybe he just felt hungry because his mate -what a strange word to say- was with him. "Sure." She had confided that she didn't usually hunt Deer, so maybe an easier kill would help? Rabbit? Hare? Something small, but with a bit of kick so that he could still enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Hunting Rabbits and Hares was much different to Deer, they required a longer chase... bursts of energy. A completely different thrill.
Aphrodia was still beside him and so he couldn't move just yet, not that he was in any rush to. In fact he felt a little disappointed that she had moved away from him a little already.... did she not want to cuddle with him when she thought he was awake? Or did he still scare her? Either way he would have to correct that later. He wouldn't have his mate scared of him.

Aphrodia smiled at him and stood, spinning once in a circle and then kiss's his face softly. "Ok then lets go! What should we get? The hares are big at this time of year arnt they? And its almost noon so they will be out feeding." She said as she stood aside enough to let him stand. She smiled at him happily as she waited to hear his answer.
She hadn't felt this happy since she left the carousel. She looked over her new mate, hehe she had a mate now, and was still taken away by how powerful and gorgeous he was. He was simple in color like her. But he still had blood on his chest and feet from his kills. It created a lovely smell that she couldn't get enough of, mixed with his own musk she melted every time she smelled him. She giggled and looked away, feeling odd for having such thoughts. She looked at her mark and her heart beat faster and she looked at Lust again and went in and snuggled his chest. She didn't know why, she just wanted to love on him some more.

Lust got to his feet, a little taken back by her kiss but accepting the sign of affection. They had only just met, but those he claimed as his own got away with a lot -he knew for them he was a push over. Currently there where only two who where his. Desire and Aphrodia.
"Hares it is." He said before starting in the direction of the exit. He knew she didn't need an invitation to follow, and would do so on her own.
Once in the wide world the sun hit him with its stricking beauty, hanging high in the sky indicating lunch time. The long grass was ahead of them, and already he could see movement and the snapping of the grass as it became lunch. He lowered himself to the ground and waited for his companion to join him.

Aphrodia smiled at him and followed happily. She had a small bounce to her walk as she followed him out of the entrance. She watched the grass happily and smelled several rabbits. She got lower to the ground near him and smiled. She was ready for this. The hunt. And watching Lust hunt was alot of fun. She had enjoyed their hunt last night with the deer, and knew the rabbits would be alot of fun too. She smiled and moved slowly along the grass away from him to catch anything that ran from his charge into the grass.
