 The silver striped mare stared up at the moon which was growing full once again and then turned her gaze to the star coated stallion who was her companion.
Hazalinia was so used to Stardust's form now that he no longer quite blended with the starry sky like he used to. Many were the evenings when they'd first begun traveling that Haze had thought that the stallion had tired of her company, only to have some small motion reveal him none too far away from her.
She gazed at him fondly now and slowly walked towards him. Her speed had nothing to do with an hesitation on her part; it had to do with the weight she was putting on slowing her down. Of course that weight came with good reason, for she was with foal and Stardust was the father.
As she walked she turned her attention again to the moon, "This is all your fault," she mumbled in joking accusation. It was a condition she had not expected to find herself in so early in her life if at all really. She wanted a family of course especially with the fond memories of belonging she had of her own foalhood. Her ear twitched and her smiled turned a little sad at the loss she had experienced. She'd do whatever she could to protect her own children from such pain. And perhaps someday... "Someday you may even meet your grandfather," she whispered.

 Stardust chuckled faintly as he stood watch. The stallion had enjoyed spending time with Hazalinia and he hadn't felt as lonely as he had since meeting the mare. Recognizing that she was joking with him the stallion kept his reply light, "if I recall the laws of nature are to blame. We both are the guilty party in this venture."
Moving forward he nuzzled Haz gently before eying the rounded bulge of her stomach. He was going to be a father. A little bit earlier than he thought ... but a noticeable thrill passed through him every time the word passed through his mind.
"How are you doing by the way? Do you need anything?" Stardust picked up on the mare's change of expression before catching a little bit of her whispered phrase. The stallion's heart clenched before he let his teeth n** softly at Haz's mane. "You seem to be having heavy thoughts tonight. Any chance I can lighten the burden?"

Hazalinia laughed at Stardust's reply. "I was talking to her silly," she said tossing her head in the direction of the moon. "After all we met on a night just like this one." She leaned into his nuzzle. He always seemed so casual and free with such affection and the contact was a delight to her. No wonder her mind was roaming.
"I'm fine, the little ones don't seem to be objecting much to their current residence." As far as she could tell her pregnancy was progressing normally. She had been very young when her younger brothers had arrived and gone by the time her eldest sister had her children.
It shouldn't have surprised her that Stardust would notice her thoughtfulness, but she hung her head guiltily nonetheless. For all the time they'd been traveling she'd only given brief hints about her family. Perhaps... with the little one's on the way... as the father of her children didn't he have the right to know?
"Its just I've been thinking about family. What it was like when I was a foal and how things changed... later... " Another nervous ear twitch and silence followed. She wanted to talk, to tell him everything, but it was so difficult...
