Topic.

Do you spend hours breeding until you get perfect 31s?
Do you go for whats passable? (ex. 21/24/19 ect)
Do you put any effort in IV breeding at all?

Whats the best method you have used to IV breed?

Do you spend hours breeding until you get perfect 31s?
Yes, I have for the extensive Flying-team of mine. Will I do it again? Only if I find something worth the time.

Do you go for whats passable? (ex. 21/24/19 ect)
I aim for at least two most important stats to have 30-31. Everything else can be passable stats.

Do you put any effort in?
Effort in what?

*Any effort into IV breeding at all?

Sorry, I'll fix it.

In that case, then yes.

Whats the best method you have used to IV breed?
Of course, IV breeding has become easier with the release of Heart Gold / Soul Silver unlike the hell I went through back in Diamond when it came to my Flying team. In HG/SS, all you have to do is attach Power Items to the parents being bred, and that specific individual value (that corresponds with the held Power item) will be passed onto the baby.

Nope, but you still stand a standard chance of having the IV passed.

Do you spend hours breeding until you get perfect 31s?
Yes. But only once for all 31s. And my mighty Shai-Hulud has yet to be born.
Do you go for whats passable? (ex. 21/24/19 ect)
Same as Kyrenx. 30-31 in the inportant stats, passable in the others.
Do you put any effort in IV breeding at all?
Sometimes. Pretty much when it's something I actually care about.

Do you spend hours breeding until you get perfect 31s?
Yup, if that's what it takes.

Do you go for whats passable? (ex. 21/24/19 ect)
If three stats aren't 31, I'm doing something wrong. Very wrong.

Do you put any effort in IV breeding at all?
IV breeding is the easy part. I have a harder time coordinating Natures + Abilities, to be honest.

Do you spend hours breeding until you get perfect 31s?
Sometimes, mostly on needed stats and defenses.

Do you go for whats passable? (ex. 21/24/19 ect)
Sometimes but if it gets me the needed Hidden Power type I need then yes.

Do you put any effort in IV breeding at all?
Hidden Power, nature, and ability.

1 Q: How can you tell the amount of IVs your Pokémon has? IVs are so confusing, unlike EVs which are kinda easier.

Take a look at the characteristic. If you know you're breeding with at least one 31 IV (which you can tell via calculators or the man standing in the Battle Tower in Platinum), look for the following characteristics in the baby:

31 HP: Often Dozes Off
31 Attack: Likes to Thrash About
31 Def: Capable of Taking Hits
31 Sp. Atk: Mischievous
31 Sp. Def: Somewhat Vain
31 Speed: Alert to Sounds.

Also the IV guy in the battle frontier gives you a rating based on how good your IVs are. I wish pokemon could be trained to have perfect IVs, like I think they did in RBGYGSC.

Zetshimaru, what is that cape called? x_x;

There is also the Wi-fi battle method, but that takes longer.

Zetshimaru is using the enchanted book as Zetshimaru's cape.
