I plan on making a Team of Non Uber grass type pokemon.
But I need a little help picking those pokemon, the only grass type at the moment that I'm for sure going to use is Vileplume, does anyone else know any Decent grass types? 3nodding

Ludicolo has been a good pokemon for Zetshimaru. It would help with the fire weakness but many grass types like the sun, Ludicolo being one that likes water more. Granted rain isn't bad for again lowering the fire weakness threat.

Roserade is another type which I recommend since you can create a pretty good swap combo between it and Ludicolo to take on Fire types (weather alteration move + Weather ball). It's also very speed and special attack friendly so it's worth your while.

Torterra is another to pick up along the way due to it's high defense and attack rating (not to mention besides Cradily, it's earthquake can do away with pesky steels).

Also If you love a balanced stat pokemon, I would go with Either Venusaur or Cherrim.

No one has suggested Venusaur? D:

He's very versatile.

Venusaur's weakness to EQ is devastating and the same can be said about Torterra's x4 weakness against Ice, especially since both aren't very fast and thier bulk (on most cases) don't compensate for this. Of course, Venusaur now can get Power Whip as an egg move in HG/SS which is interesting on it's own (no more Leaf Storm sets for me).

On the upside, a few Grass-types I've had some success with are: Sceptile, Breloom, Jumpluff, Ludicolo, Shiftry, Tangrowth and Tropius. Of course, most of those have gimmicky movesets but you can't argue with results when executed properly.

Although Victreebel wouldn't be recommended by most, I do. With it having the Special Ability "Chlorophyll", have it learn Sunny Day then it'll move very fast. I have one w/ others move like Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, and Sludge Bomb. Also equip it with this root-type item that allows HP draining-type moves to drain more HP. Have all of that and Victreebel will be a pesky one to beat.

I already have a Vileplume like that. ;3

Sceptile is the fastest non-Uber Sub-Seeder. Would that be useful to you?

I prefer a breloom with a toxic orb on it. Heals instead of poisoning her.

And makes a good status absorber to boot. Of course, that's only if it has the Poison Heal ability. ninja

I see no one's offered my favorite grass-type so I'll put my two cents.

Abomasnow is pretty freakin' awesome. It has good defense and very good attacks, plus.. Snow Warning makes it hail, which makes Blizzard 100% accurate, and it can learn Water Pulse for those pesky fire-type weaknesses.

I have one, and I love it. ^ ^ It's simply beastly.

On the down side, it's hella slow, and it takes long to level one up, but if you're willing to give it love, it will love you back. ^ ^ heart

The only drawback I see with Abomasnow is its 4x weakness to fire as well as a number of other 2x weaknesses.(like fighting, flying, poison, rock). It also might be counter productive because of that Snow Warning ability. Your other pokemon will take damage if they aren't ice types. It's also terribly slow(base 60 spd) so odds are even with water pulse, your Abomasnow is toast.(literally)

To answer the topic, I would highly suggest Breloom with Poison heal and the toxic orb. It gives you some healing every turn instead of poisoning you. Give it spore(100% sleep move) and focus punch and it will own other pokemon with its super high attack stat(130). If you want more defense, you can give it Substitute so it has a sort of SubPunch set.(Like the name? Came up with it right now)

I just find it funny that if someone uses Weather Ball against Abomasnow, the Ice-type Weather Ball caused from Snow Warning lands for super effective damage against it. I mean, what kind of Ice-type Pokemon can't even take Ice-type moves. xd
