A silent but eerie breeze rustled through the swaying grass as dawn approached, a dim violet light illuminating the horizon, causing Zigana's heart to feel constricted for a moment. In the silence before the birds began to sing, after the crickets had ceased their strumming all seemed silent as the sun began to rise. A silent moment in time that seemed beautiful, but somehow also slightly melancholy, for yesterday was gone and not knowing what tomorrow would bring. Recalling other dawns of days that had gone by, it nearly brought tears to her dark purple eyes. She had chosen her path, but sometimes her heart ached for what she had left behind, yet stood proudly to greet yet another new day. She felt even more alone when no one was around or awake to watch it with her, yet the traveling group she'd been born into hadn't really been quite right, and she thought she'd finally found a niche in life. Yet she still felt as though something, some part of her was missing or not quite filled.

Anytime her thoughts gave way to even the slightest hint of melancholy, it was the music and the dance which easily took her from momentarily feeling blue to feeling joy throughout her being. With the tambourine in her maw she began to shake her head, the soft tinkling of the pieces hitting one another soothed her soul, as she stood up and turned as though she chased her tail. She cared not how others might have seen her, for she was at heart truly a gypsy, with a carefree air. With a leap she twisted before landing, picking up the tempo of the tambourines rhythm. A leap to the right, the left and then right again, almost somersaulting before landing. It was almost like being somewhere else, in her mind when the vibration of the music moved through her body and the sweet sound captivated her, usually she would not stop until she was nearly exhausted. However, she slowly came to a stop, as a strong wind ruffled her coat.
