~*~RULES~*~

1. Semi-Literate: This means all posts must be legible, we won't crucify you for simple grammar mistakes but if your post doesn't make sense at all it will be marked for editing and ignored in the story until fixed.
2. Character Profile: Post a character profile, and have it approved before posting.
3. Cursing/Profanity: If it is allowed by Gaia's TOS it is allowed here. Try to keep it in context.
4. "Out of story" Conversations: Do not post OOS Conversations in the RP thread. We will provide separate forums for planning. We also have group chats over AIM if you use that service.
5. R-E-S-P-E-C-T: Respect! Lets be nice to each other! If you do not agree with someone's storyline choice tell the Captain (me) or one of the Vices and we will sort it out. If your problem is with a Vice, come to me and I will sort it out. If your problem is with me I will deal with you directly.
6. More Rules?: I can and will add more rules as I see fit. If you see that the title of the thread says "Updated" followed by a recent date take a look there is a new rule for you to read.

Here at Butterfly Catchers we like to keep things orderly but exciting. Here are a few steps to posting in this complicated story to help keep things organized.

1. For your first post reiterate your characters background story. In the same post you may continue into the storyline, or wait till your second post to break into the story. If you are unsure what I mean read the first posts on page 1 of the RP thread.

2. This step is a little more complicated so pay attention. Since this is a time jumping story, and since the characters are don't have a choice in the matter of time travel, like where they end up in time, we wanted to come up with a method to randomize the jumping process for the writers. (in the following post I will give a better example of this)

1. Below is a list of Eras and number next to it.
2. Starting with your first post you will use the "Random Number Generator"
3. Using the "Random Number Generator" you will set the numbers to 1- 40.
4. You will complete the post you are on (to begin with this will be post number 1) and after you hit submit you will see a number. Take this number and come to this page, look at the list of eras and match your number to an era. This is where your character will be sent next.
5. In your next post transition your character into this new era.
6. In your next post you will do one more number generator. This one will be numbered 1-30.
7. This second number determines how many RP days before your character is sent into the time stream again.
Repeat as necessary.

The number above means that you will jump in time after 18 days.
