|| ooc; || I was just going to double check. Was it Specklepaw and Fadingpaw that fall in love, or Specklepaw and Redpaw? The Pm virsion of the plot said Redpaw and Specklepaw. But in posted virsion in the guild has Specklepaw and Fadingpaw(hense above), so I just wanted to clear things up.
Redpaw couldn't help but grin at Specklepaw's remark. He cast a shared amused glance at Starpaw, and then to the two apprentices in front. "I'd like to see Crowpaw try and keep up back." He remarked quickly, quickening his pace ever so slightly to flank Specklepaw and Starpaw.

Crowpaw glanced around. "Guys, can you keep watch for enemies back there?' he asked, as politely as he could. "That would be great." He then nodded to Fadingpaw before falling back next to Redpaw. He whispered to the tom, "Just so you know, I put you back there because I thought it would be better to have us toms in tow places. One in front one in back. It's not like I don't like you or anything."
Fadingpaw smiled at Crowpaw. He was so great! The way he spoke to th eothers to make them feel better about being in the back! It was so awesome!

((hey guys i was thinking maybe depending on the story the toms should pick their own mates. it be better i think. it makes it more surprising. Which ever cat Starpaw mates, she will go with them.))
Starpaw narrowed her eyes. Redpaw nodded to Crowpaw, which got Starpaw startled. "Yeah." she told him. "Separate the toms so they dont fight over the medicine cat apprentice." Starpaw felt a pain. She had been a medicine cat apprentice not that long ago. What made it worse is that even though Hauntedheart was found she would not speak to her.

Crowpaw then turne dot Starpaw and rubbed his pelt next to hers. "Don't worry, Hauntedheart's a mousebrain for letting you go," he mewed and a slight purr could be heard

Starpaw's eyes gleamed. "She was." she confirmed. A raise of happiness withdrew her anger.
Specklepaw scented the air. "Fox!" she yelled.
Two beady red eyes appeared and a young fox came out from behind a bramble bush.
The fox charged at the four apprentices and headed straight for Crowpaw. Starpaw charged from where she was next to Redpaw and scrambled onto the fox's back. It gave a sharp yowl as Starpaw bit into it. The fox tried shaking the flame colored she-cat off but Starpaw clung to it. "Leave my friends alone." she spat. The fox showed its yellow teeth and its shoulder spilled blood. It yowled again running as if life depended on it. Starpaw snorted. "No fox will ever mess with me again." she hissed. "and if one does i'll rip its fur off!"

Redpaw was almost surprised when Crowpaw fell back and reassured him that the pair of toms were for safety measures. There was hesitance, and at last the fury orange tom let out a nod. His ears flicked up in startlement as Starpaw spoke up bitterly. There was a trace of sympathy for the she cat as Redpaw gave her ear a flick with the tip of her tail. "Crowpaw's right, it's their own loss." The tom meowed softly.
|| ooc; || Gasp! That makes me think of something deviously evil. xD Perhaps Redpaw and Starpaw could have a liking for each other, and end up mating sometime on the trip. But as the journey progresses, Starpaw and Crowpaw start liking each other, and Specklepaw/Redpaw can like each other. Starpaw goes home with Crowpaw, but she has kits later on. They think it's Crowpaw/star's kits, but they turn out to be Redpaw's from back on the journey? Hah, I dunno. Just brainstorming, disregard the idea if you guys don't like it. Starpaw and Crowpaw can always have another set later too, I dunno. xD

Returning back to Redpaw she gave him a few swift licks. There was concern in his eyes from the fox chace. "Im fine." she promised.

((Well, I don;'t really like that idea because it's kinda copying Erin Hunter. Since she did the whole Leafpool Crowfeather, Squirrelflgiht, and Brambleclaw thing. Maybe instead, Redpaw and Fadingpaw could fall in love.)) Crowpaw took a step back as Starpaw padded over to Redpaw. He fell abck into the shadows and flicked his ears. Something growled behind him. His amber eyes glanced around and was met wiht a ppair of yellow eyes. He felt his whole body go still. The she-fox's mate! He jumped back as the male fox lunged. He lashed up with his hind legs and kicked hte fox into the tree. Crowpaw spun around and lunged for the dazed fox. he felt it's fur in hsi calws and it's sharp teeth bit hisleg. He winced before sinking his teeth into the fox's neck. He herd a gurggled yowl before the fox fell limp under him. He backed up a few steps and began to likc his scratches.

In Character:
Redpaw let a ghost of a smile find it's way upon his lips, but just like that, Specklepaw yowled warning of fox. The orange tabby tom bristled in surprised stress as Starpaw leaped upon the tom. There was a moment of frozen panic before he pulled himself together and lurched forward to n** at the canine's heels. And then it was gone. Pelt in a fray, Redpaw crouched down, looking back to the others. "Great job."
EDITED.
It was then that the other fox appeared. Once again with a jump of his heart, Redpaw shook off his shock and threw himself around the paws of the male fox. And then it was limp.

Starpaw's eyes widened. "I saved you, you saved yourself." she muttered stepping closer to Redpaw. He was the only cat she could trust so far. And there was something about Fadingpaw she did not like.

Crowpaw watched as she went back over to Redpaw. He sighed and huing hsi head. She didn't evne care!He turned around and contiued on. "Come on lets go..." he muttered as he walked on. Why didn't she care? He tried ot be nice! He tried to impress her but all she cared at was Redpaw.
Fadingpawfetl a sharp pain as she saw how much Crowpaw hurt form Starpaw being wiht Redpaw. She took a deep breath and turned toward Crowpaw, making it look like she was speaking to him. She then turned back toward Redpaw and Starpaw. "Starpaw! Crowpaw wants you and me to switch places, she mewed and headed for the back. She glanced at Crowpaw befor ehs eleft, who gave her a confused look but only she saw it. she trotted to teh back and stood nexk to Redpaw. Yes, she loved Crowpaw, buthe didn't love her back and she was a medicine cta apprneitce.

Starpaw gave a long glance to Redpaw. "I'm okay." she mewed briskly. Now she disliked Fadingpaw even more. How dare she! Starpaw thought. Its obvious Crowpaw does NOT want me with him. Does she have to make this long journey worse?

Releasing a breath of relief as the fox ordeal was dealt with, Redpaw was nearly baffled when Crowpaw suggested they head out right away. He cast a swift glance at the others, to be sure none of them were hurt. Nodding to himself, he fell in pace with Starpaw, and the same positions were assumed, with Crowpaw and Fadingpaw in the lead.
However Fadingpaw fell back and told Starpaw to go up with Crowpaw. Glancing up in surprise, he partially wondered why, to himself of course. But that was there business. In Redpaw's eyes, he'd, in the short time, had made nice friends with Starpaw, but she was to lead with Crowpaw now. Murmuring a quick fairwell to the she cat, Redpaw lifted his head to nod in greetings to Fadingpaw. "Hey, Fadingpaw." The orange tabby greeted the medicine cat with a trace of a smile. If they were all going to be stuck on this journey together, why not get along?
