Daruka and Velrati: RP Romance
Pawing at the ground, Daruka was digging for roots and any insects he could find. It was an easy meal, he wasn't in the mood to hunt. Using his teeth he pulled out a root from a plant. Nawing on it he kept a look out for intruders.
Slowing she chewed up the root. Licking his lips he slowly sat down. His ears flicked side to side listening. It was a quiet afternoon. Some birds could be heard but nothing out of the ordinary.
Scratching behind his ear he let out a sigh. For many months he had been searching for a pack. But none to be found. Or even another wolf for that matter...

She was, in a word, tired. Tired of moving about scrounging for food when there was hardly any there. Tired of searching for a place to call home. Tired of being alone and having no one. But most of all, tired of feeling hopeless. Well hopeless wouldn't be the real word to use but it was a word that would come to mind. Hunger gnawed at her stomach but she continued to search until she smelt something good, so she dug, her crawls scraping the ground until at last the root was uncovered. Now all she needed to do was eat it before someone else tried to take it from her.
It was then she saw, her eyes narrowed when she saw the black male in view and her muzzle pulled back into a snarl. Hackles raised and eyes narrowed, but within her heart she felt that this meal once again would be stolen and once more she'd be left hungry. Even a fighter needed to know when to back away from a fruitless fight.

Grinding his teeth Daruka stared off into the distance. He snapped back to reality when his concentraction was broken. An odd sound was heard from behind. Digging? Lower himself to the ground he crouched to the floor and stalked steedily to the noise.
As he approuched he saw a figure emurge. A female. She was long and slender...but very skinny. Her tan and orange coat was dull and faded. Her eyes swollen, she was like a skeleton. As he studied her he noticed she had spotted him. Her eyes burned into his.
Straightening up Daruka walked towards her. The females growled and bared her teeth. She was to weak to fight but it seemed she would die of the root.
Leaning down Daruka ran his paw over the ground. He started to dig. Soon her exposed a couple roots. Biting down he pulled some out and set them down. He pushed them towards her with his muzzle. "Eat." He sat down on his hunches.
[Find it funny I am playing a male while you play the female. XD]

{It is rather funny.}
Velrati looked to the dark male and nodded, "Thank you." Her voice had a bit of hardness to it as she bent down to grab the roots he had given her. Ravenous with hunger she chewed them until there was no more and until her stomach felt fuller than it had been in a very long time. That's when she took the time to actually look at the one who showed her compassion.
The male was beautiful with his black fur and the bits of color that splashed on it. His face was beautiful, the white and the red, and his eyes. A strong male, "I am Velrati." Her voice now more musical and lighter now that she had food, but it was thirst that was beginning to cause he body to ache. "And you are?"

"Daruka." She stood up and walked around her. "Why so frail?" He wanted to tend to her care for her. She was so sad and pitiful. Still her eyes were gorgeous, loving. "Seems you haven't eat in quite some time."
His voice was fair, silky, gentle. Again he sat infront of her. Watiing.

As Velrati spoke his name it sounded just as silky, "Water. Where to find water?" She asked ignoring his earlier questions but then replying, "After water I will answer."

He said Daruka tilted his head and started to walk off in that direction. Velrati stayied rather far behind but close enough so he could see her. He found her interesting and wanted to know more about her but that will take time...
They neared a waters edge, a stream floods above and pooled in the flat area. Kneeling her dipped his muzzle into the water and drank heavily. Finishing she stepped back for Velrati to drink.

Velrati drank mouthfuls before she looked up at him. A generous male who helped her, fed her, and watered her. A male without a pack who had at first seemed like he would run her away was instead a kind and gentle being. "Thank you." She said. Her golden eyes dancing with anticipation for an adventure with this male. He was stronger looking that her and in her minds eye she could see Daruka protecting her. Maybe if they stuck together, no she couldn't ask that of him could she? "Do you travel alone?"

"Yes." He saw her eyes shatter with hope. "But I've been looking for travelling companions but so far you are the only wolf I've seen in quite some time..." His gaze shift away from her. His black coat glinted in the sun's rays as he stepped into the shallow pool and laid in the clear water. He started to bath himself. His coat was his pride, he liked it to be clean.
"You could use one yourself." He lifted his head up at her. "Then maybe you can tell me what happened to you." He gave a toothy grin.

Velrati looked as him with sparkling eyes and had to agree, she hadn't had a bath in a while so she went into the water and rolled in it for a moment before shaking off the water. "Now that I'm clean," her fur glimmering in the light, "how do I look?" She asked. When he asked what happened to her she just blinked for a few moments. How to tell him her story? "I was separated as a youngling and couldn't find my parents. I was chased by other wolves who tried to hunt me for sport because I was the lone wolf. I had to fend for myself but even that I couldn't do. But now you've helped." She said skipping past other parts of the story to just sum it up.

She already looked better. Her eyes were brighter, her coat shined, she even looked happy. "You look like a vision." It was true, the sun was hitting her just right to give a glowing aura around her. "Ah, you sound like many of the wolves I have meet. Most lost as a pup or youngth...strange how it is common these days." Daruka didn't want to make it sound like her story wasn't sad or meanless. But it was true; she wasn't the only one.

Even as she moved the glow illuminated her, like she was chosen but for her it was just how how her fur shined after a bath, once the water dried she would no longer look like this. "I thank you for the kind words." She muttered and then listened to what she had to say. "Many of the ones I met were like me but banded together. I was... female so I was weak. That is what they said. Even when I fought back they ganged up on me and I had to leave the food I had found for them." A growl settled in her voice from the memory. "What is your story, if I may be so bold."

"Bastards..." he muttered it under his breath. Daruka was always a flatter, since he was young. "Me?" He smiled at her, it was very gentle. "My life was pampered compared to yours. I had my mother until she had another pup. So I left." He sniffed the air, checking. "Then I have been roaming the land trying to find someone..." He stopped for a breif second, "to be with." If a wolf could turn red, Daruka was.

The femme looked at Daruka, eyes gleaming when he spoke. She had roamed all around but had not heard such flattering things before and if she could blush and show it she would be. However she quickly looked away in embarrassment. Daruka was handsome yes but they had just met, she hardly knew the male. "Don't you think you're rushing it a little? I hardly know you." She responded, "I mean I don't mind but..." Velrati looked at the male with gentle eyes. "You wouldn't make a bad mate."

"I am taken by you." He had a sheepish look on his face. "You're strong, beautiful and heart felt." He paused. "I may be rushing things...but you are exactly what I am looking for." Smiling and turned to look at you. "I'd protect you and provide." It sounded like he was trying sell him to her.
[Btw discount on breeding. I will pay for most or the whole thing if needed. I just waned some pups! You wanna?]
