Since Ieyasu and Osusuki are moving in with Nyxa and Lucius, we figured we'd make our own thread to have private RP sessions in just to keep things simple. Of course, playdates and the like can still be held here if you have spoken with Ieyasu or Nyxa first. This thread is considered their "house" and whatnots.
The home on Cetalu is rustic yet charming. As with all the usual village houses, this one is two stories; the lower level houses the bathroom and living area while the top level, connected by a simple ladder, is the sleeping quarters.
The 'curbside' appeal of the home is a startling mix of simplicity and functionality. Since the volcano, however, there are singes and broken windows, though everything is slowly being put back into place. It is a rustic home with little extravagances; a small garden is slowly being nicked into a clear area next to the home, soon to be nurturing a variety of seeded vegetables and flowers- a touch of Nyxa's home in Durem. The small shed near the village house is filled to bursting with wood and kindling. A ring of large stones creates the perfect setting for an outdoor cooking fire.
Upon entering the simple home, decoration comes in bursts of color. With scraps of yellow and green fabric from a small shop in Durem window covers were created; small orchids decorate two windowsills. A zen garden and a small fountain occupy tabletops. Paper lanterns litter the ceiling in splashes of color. Family pictures are lovingly set on windowsills.
This large room splits into the kitchen/dining area. A small wooden table is set near a wall; two seats bracket the table. In the center of the table a small tin cup provides a vase to wild flowers that are kept replentished on the table. The hearth and cooking area are both left clear. Near the hearth on a roughly woven mat rest split logs perfect for a fire in the later cool evenings.
The bathroom of the home is small yet functional. There are soft, fluffy towels, washcloths, and sweet-smelling soaps. A paper lanter hangs staidly from the ceiling. Leftover fabric from the curtains have been woven to form a simple rug. Though decor in the bathroom is sparse it doesn't detract from the over-all cozyness that carries throughout the two story home. Since Nyxa's return to Cetalu after a long, unanticipated leave, there are more rugs scattered about the floor, and thicker, sturdier curtains replace the thinner textiles that were perfect for spring.
Upstairs there is a screen that separates the large room into two smaller ones. To the left of the ladder is Nyxa's sleeping area; to the right, Lucius' own private area. More colorful rugs are laid across the floors to protect bare feet on chilly mornings.
This house was one of the lucky ones.

Well, now she'd gone and done it. It'd been a long, long, long time since Nyxa had lived with a man, and having Ieyasu move into the house was going to be purely interesting.
Of course, there was some cleaning up to do. Window replacements would have to be ordered, as well as some new rugs. Clothes for herself. Towels, and a couch. Her current one was pretty charred.
And maybe a king-sized bed. Sure, it'd be impossible to get upstairs, but in all honesty flirting with the idea was more fun than one would think. A california king would be even more interesting. Heh.
Shaking her head, Nyxa chuckled to herself and made her way back to the house.
Luc was hot on her heels, worriedly casting looks behind him as if making sure that Osu and Ieyasu would follow in their wake. He was soooo excited that his bestest friend was gonna be moving in with them. Maybe Nyxa wasn't so bad after all.
"Well we gotta clean up in here, Nyxa, cuz Osu can't live in a dirty house.. an' we'll need some blankets for Osu, too, and a bed for his kitty." As if he was taking on a large, overwhelming task, Lucius sighed, shaking his head with arms akimbo.
Nyxa could almost picture him in a pink frilly apron fretting about Cleaver-esque issues. That was alarming. She'd never figured Luc for a worry wart, but that's all he was doing now that Osusuki was moving in.

As Ieyasu was following after Nyxa and Lucius, he felt a tug on his jeans, and heard Osu speak.
"..Yassu?"
"Hmm? What's up?" Ieyasu replied, twisting to look at the little Aerandir.
"What about 'Lex? He's not here. He's on his own - he might be all scared again." Osu said, looking around. He didn't remember seeing 'Lex after he ran away in the centre.
"Don't worry - he'll still be in the centre. We'll go find him once everything's all sorted out. He'll be ok for now - the centre's safe. Ok?" Ieyasu gave the kid a reassuring smile. Seeming satisfied, Osu nodded, grinned and ran to catch up with Lucius.
As they neared the house, Ieyasu increased his pace to catch up with Nyxa, just in time to hear Lucius' tirade about cleaning up. He grinned, faintly amused by the kid.
"Listen - if there's anything I can do to help with things, just let me know."

Nyxa merely shook her head at Luc, rubbing the back of her neck. "It's gonna take some work, doll, but we'll get it done. There's more than cleaning that needs to be done. I wonder if we can get some windows shipped in from the mainland." She was really speaking to herself, but with a thankful glance to 'Yasu, she shook her head, "I'm just glad we seem to be better off than some of the other folks on the island." A slender shoulder lifted in a half-shrug, "Everything is just a little singed around the edges, but it's not so bad."
Luc seemed to be taking inventory on everything that needed to be done. He was wandering around the house sort of muttering to himself about blankets, pillows, windows, dirt, Osu and kitties before he stopped, turning to meet his friend as he ran up to him, "Osu! Don't be scared or sad, okay? I'll take care of you." He nodded solemnly, tail lashing about behind him. "Come on, I'll show you my room!" He darted towards the ladder, pausing before he started to climb, "Well, our room." With a winning smile he ascended the ladded to the second story.

Ieyasu nodded, glancing around the room. "Maybe if we say to Alyosha, we'd be able to get some shipped in the next time an order goes out. There's probably more than a few things that I need to replace myself." He grinned for a moment. "At least it's not cold here, though." As Nyxa spoke again, he glanced back over at her, nodding his head in agreement.
Osu had been following Lucius as he moved about the house. Not sure entirely of what he was doing, the younger Aerandir had been watching him curiously. As Luc turned and spoke to him, Osu nodded his head. "Ok!" He grinned, taking off after Lucius as the other boy ran to the ladder. Following his steps, the young spellweaver climbed up the ladder to the second floor. This was going to be fun!

Osero approached the house, his brown paws padding silently down the path. He was carrying a large, bulky pile of leather and fur over one arm and a small bundle of stone-tipped and feather fletched arrows with the other. He also had a small leather pouch tied to his woven belt. Since his return to Cetalu after the eruption, the hunter had been busy obtaining what his young pupil would require. The tanned deer hide wasn't essential, but Osero thought that Lucius might like it. He had worked the skin until it was soft and supple, and he had been pleased with the result. It would be perfect for a reminder of the young one's first hunt.
The lupine Aerandir reached the door. Stopping, he shuffled the items he was carrying about until he had one hand sufficiently free enough to knock at the door. Lowering his arm again, he took a step back and waiting, idly shifting his large wings with a soft rustle. Hopefully, somebody would be about inside.

Hearing the knock on the door, Luc yawned and plopped from the couch to the floor, moving silently over to the door. Sometimes when he was alone, he liked to practice walking like Osero had taught him. He had the feeling he'd be spending much more time away from the house after the stupid girl grew up into a buggerish little flying dumb stupid ugly thing.
Stupid girl.
Flinging open the door, his eyes widened almost gleefully as he caught sight of his idol. "Osero! Whatcha doin' here, whatcha got there? Wanna come in?"

Osero smiled as Lucius pulled open the door and almost immediately launched into an excited tirade. Waiting until the young one had finished speaking, he then greeted him back.
"Hello there Lucius. I just came around here as I have a few things for you." His smile widened a little as he began to rearrange his various bundles, setting down the large, bulky, leather one by his feet. With one hand free, he flicked open his belt pouch, pulling out two long coils of sinew.
"The deer that we hunted a few weeks ago provided this. It's sinew, and it would be very good for your bow string. There's two here, just in case you need an extra."
The hunter held out the two coils to Lucius, waiting for his reaction.

Lucius was stunned, and he stood quietly with no expression for a moment. He reached for the sinew before finally meeting Osero's eyes, a gleam of absolute rapture and worship in his golden eyes.
"That is so FREAKING COOL!!" The words were pure Nyxa-esque, but hearing them from the usually solemn Aerandir was unheard of, a mere measure of his excitement.
"Osero you are so great, y'know that I have just been waiting for this for so long like forever and then ohmygosh wait till IshowOsuandNyxaandYasu!!" Babbling, he skidded over to the couch where his bow was nestled and swooped it up before moving back to Osero, nearly tripping over his own feet.

Osero chuckled at Lucius' reaction, delighted that the young Aerandir was so pleased with the sinew. He was sure that it would soon be put to good use. Waiting until Lucius returned, he continued
"That's not all. I'm not sure if you've met Acia before. She's very good at manipulating earth and stone, and I asked her if she would make some arrowheads for you."
Lifting the small bundle of arrows, he held them out. They weren't perfect - there was no dedicated carpenter to create the shafts for the arrows - but they had done the best they could. At the very least, they would be good for learning to shoot with.
"Afterall, you'll need something to use your bow with the next time we go hunting." He smiled again, before leaning down to pick up the large bundle.
"The last thing I brought for you isn't for your bow, but I thought you'd like it, since it was from your first hunt." Holding the hide by one edge, he allowed it to unroll and held it up so that Lucius could see it properly.

If Luc had been faint of heart, the poor boy would have been on the floor gasping for breath. Luckily he was a sturdy creature, and with wide eyes he reached first for the arrows, drooling at the sight of the weaponry. "I only met her for a second, but these are awesome, I gotta tell her thanks next time I see her!"
When Osero shook out the skin, Luc's eyes went even wider, "Oh awesome!!" He ran his fingers over the pelt of the deer, hurriedly moving to set his things on the nearest table so that he could take the gift from Osero. "That is so neat, I can't even believe that this came from that deer."
Slyly he eyed Osero, setting the skin aside, "When we goin' huntin' again, huh?"

Osero chuckled again. "Hold on, let me get to that. The centre's beginning to run a little low on meat again, so I thought it might be best to go out again soon."
The hunter stopped to consider for a moment, his pointed ears flicking slightly. "Would you like to have some time to practice with your bow before we go out on an actual hunt together again, or would you like to do the same as before and begin your practice afterwards?"
The tall Aerandir had a feeling he knew what the answer would be, but he asked in any case. If Lucius did decide to take the hunt first and the weapons practice later, then it was no big issue. It wouldn't hurt for him to learn more about tracking and flushing out prey before beginning to use his bow properly.

Luc pondered that for a milisecond. "Hunt now. Practice later." He nodded, beaming at the other Aerandir. "Gotta get food for everyone, huh?" It made perfect sense to him. They all had to eat, and on top of that he was awful tired of sitting around the house all the time. Delta and Marli weren't ever anywhere to be seen, and he didn't want to cling to Osu all the time.
"So when you wanna go?"

Osero had thought that it might be a silly question to ask. He had been expecting the answer that Lucius had given. Nodding his head, the older Aerandir considered for a moment.
"Well, it's up to you. If you'll be ready, then we could make a trip tomorrow morning. Otherwise, it would need to be the day after. What do you think?"
Had Lucius answered that he wanted to practice first, Osero had intended on making a trip out himself within the next couple of days. He didn't want to leave making a hunting expedition much longer, as there was always the chance that it could prove insuccessful. Of course, the centre could survive without fresh meat and fish, but the hunter liked to try to keep it stocked. Not too much, of course - that would be a waste of life - but enough to ensure that the islanders did not need to go without.

"Yeah, trip tomorrow." He really wanted to go today but he didn't want to pressure Osero. Besides, he wanted to show his fur off to his housemates. And his arrows and string and stuff.
"We gonna hunt deer again? Somethin' else?" Not that it really mattered to the young Aerandir. He just wanted to get his hunt on. "You gonna come back over tomorrow and get me and then we'll go, huh?
