I've a few questions I'd like answered if you guys dont mind. 3nodding I'll list them here and number them.
1. I've heard attaching an ever stone to the female in HG/SS would carry on the females nature, is this true? Tentae - You can pass certain characteristics from the father using the "Power" items. (Brace, Belt, Lens, ECT) Anara_xx*Supported by bulbapedia* - Having the female hold an Everstone allows a 50% that the baby Pokemon has the mother's nature, and it isn't just for HG/SS. It's from Pokemon Emerald and on.
2. To get a specific egg move, is the male the only one who needs to have the move? Can the female pass on skills aswell? Tentae - In order to learn unorthodox moves, the dad needs to know the move. But for moves learned later, through level up, both parents must know the attack.
Example: Vulpix doesnt learn Energyball on its own through level up. So the dad would need to know the move to pass it on to the baby Vulpix.
Vulpix DOES learn Flamethrower by leveling up. So if you want that move earlier, instead of dealing with the dreadful Ember.. both parents need to know Flamethrower to pass it down
3. How can I hatch my eggs faster? Jerzeeboii*Supported by experience* - By having a pokemon in your party with the ability "Flame body/Magma Armor' you cut the footsteps needed in half. Also riding your bike on the faster speed will decrease your egg hatching time, since you'll be moving at a much faster pace.
4. Can all TM's be passed down to the new born baby?
Note:If you are answering questions, please support your answers with some sort of source. Let it be from experience, a link, or rumor you've heard. Thanks for the idea Ana, this will help much. 3nodding

Also if any of you have any questions about breeding you'd like to ask the guild post them here, or PM them to me and I'll add it to the list. 3nodding *I prefur PM's*
I plan on making this sort of like a Q&A for breeding and such for our newer members, and for members who are confused such as myself.
When answers are given from our more knowledgable members, I'll update the questions post with their answers and Gaia username.
Think some of this stuff isnt noticable enough? PM me and let me know how I could improve by adding some color, underlines, bolding, etc. I want this info to be in plain sight , but also easy on the eyes for everyone to see and understand.
Also feel free to PM me/post commonly asked questions about breeding so you wont have to be answering them over and over again, I know I've asked a few questions more than once LOL.
Aside from all this. 1. Follow the Gaia ToS 2. No flaming 3. Type legibly please. 4. Be respectful to your fellow guild mates, this is a learning experience. We're not all expected to learn or remember everything as good as some of you. 5. Please try not to quote anything too large, if your quoting a question to answer it, then that is fine. 3nodding

1. See question number 2..
2. Yes, only in HG/SS.. the previous games is all about luck. You can also pass certain characteristics from the father using the "Power" items. (Brace, Belt, Lens, ECT)
3. In order to learn unorthodox moves, the dad needs to know the move. But for moves learned later, through level up, both parents must know the attack.
Ex: Vulpix never learns Energyball on her own through level up. So the dad would need to know the move to pass it on to the baby Vulpix.
Vulpix DOES learn Flamethrower by leveling up. So if you want that move earlier, instead of dealing with the dreadful Ember.. both parents need to know Flamethrower to pass it down.
4. You covered it. Also.. action replay? lol

I put yours in there Ana along with Tentae's, I'm not sure which is actually true since I've never personally tried it. Once more people come in and start correcting, I'll update the Q&A. 3nodding

Flamethrower is a TM move and all TM moves can be passed down,

Scroll down to the Everstone item information.
It tells you right there. Also, if it didn't work for any other game but HG/SS, I wouldn't have a bunch of Timid Pokemon. x3

Flamethrower is learned by Vulpix by leveling.
Vulpix learns Flamethrower at level 24. Proof is right here.

I cant find it in that link Ana. I checked the 1st area, only talks about evolution, oval stone and such. Next area - The anime? Last area - The manga? I sort of didnt even bother looking at those 2, since the anime/manga are...well not the game. xd
Also remember I am blind for certain things. 3nodding

It is right above the "In the anime" section of the article.
