It was the 8th day of punishment. 8 days of being holed up inside, and the initial onset of irritation had moved onto a good case of Cabin fever. The bright side was only the shining floors. With the only real things to do being train, inside and scrub, his bad mood positively permeated the halls in the form of squeaky cleanness. Yes squeaky, ever step of his boots squeaked with the touch of water they had picked up as he moved backwards through he hall.

Kofuku trudged through the hallways, a trail of solid mud behind her; she was covered in it, and she did NOT look happy. in front of her pranced around Gizmo, who was also leaving behind muddy paw prints. Frisky as ever, the little monster was the reason to his trainer's grimy appearance. Still a bundle of energy from being out all day, he took off down the hall, turning the corner and skittering past Panther, leaving behind his smeared muddy paw prints.
"Gizmooooo!" Kofuku whined, sighing and breaking off into a jog, turning the corner as well, looking exhausted.

"Hey! you! Stop right there!" he spotted the pikachu, tracking mud right over the floor he has just cleaned. His teeth gritted and he lifted the mop, ready to whack the the pikachu if it didn't obey. It was then that he spotted fuku round the corner, completly covered. "What the hell?"

"GIZMO!" Kofuku yelled at the pikachu, pointing to the area next to her. "Get back here; NOW." Her voice meant no business, and Gizmo knew that no business would mean no cookies or other sweets from the cafeteria with dinner. Pouting a little, he dejectedly walked back over to his trainer.
Giving a glance down at her now somewhat controlled pikachu, she then gave an embarrassed smile to Panther. "I, uh, was training... and Gizmo found the mud. Things went down hill after that; I need a shower and he needs a bath now." Glancing at the mop, she frowned a little. "I thought your sentence from Seth was supposed to be over from now...."

"Shut up. I know." he growled to himself, not meeting her eye, and then began scrubbing again, furiously at the muddy foot prints. "Pick him up and go by. This is gonna take forever to clean up." Squeak squeak, scrub scrub.

And now she felt bad. Obediently, she pulled Gizmo up into her arms, feeling her spirits drop greatly. As if it wasn't bad enough she was tired and covered in grime, she'd just made things harder for Panther and he was mad at her. "Leave some mud for me, ok? I'll help you clean up once I'm not leaving a trail of muck..." Offering him a very small smile, she ran off to go get herself cleaned up.

Leave some for her? He shook his head and kept cleaning. He'd rather she simply not walk on his floors while he was cleaning. She was certainly not the first grunt to get yelled at for tracking mud onto them as he was cleaning them. Such a pain. Not to mention HQ had a lot of floor to clean. he was beginning to think they should have a a lot more people doing it on a daily bases, not just the occasional in trouble grunt. Maybe hire a professional. He gave a glance into the water bucket, figured, that much mud would make the whole ordeal worst. Picking up the bucket he dragged it down to Janitor's closet.

It was half an hour later when Kofuku came looking for panther again; she was cleaned up now, not a speck of mud on her clothes now and the scent of soap drifted from her. Having left Gizmo back in the room this time, she held on her only two pokeballs, Nina and Hercules, shoved into her short pockets.
"Paaaanther?" She called through the halls, having not found him where she'd left him earlier.

She should have looked where the erased footsteps were, for he was just down the hall scrubbing at two sets of food prints, leading up from the elevator. He just knew the lobby would be worst, but he had yet to do that floor, and he's get to it. Later. He heard her voice calling for him and groaned. "What?"

Perking up as Panther responded back, she couldn't help but grin as she turned the corner and walked over next to him, getting down onto her knees next to him. "Hey, you have an extra scrubber for me?"
Yes, she had been exhausted earlier, but there was something about being around Panther and finally seeing him for the first time since he'd been kicked out of the car on the way to the beach that had brought all the energy back to her. Simply put, she'd missed him greatly.

"No." he said simply. He didn't want help. He didn't want to be caught receiving help. His mood was still down right wretched, as it had been for days now. A scowl had seemed to plant it's self onto his face and root itself permanently there.

Kofuku still remained on her knees, but the smile and any joy was gone from her face. "Hey... c'mon, Panther, this isn't like you." Her voice was soft, and gently she touched his elbow. She looked a little worried; she'd never seen Panther acting like this before and this new mood worried her.
"What happened anyways? I thought your time was supposed to be up."

"I. Don't. Want. To. Talk about it!" he growled every word out individually, wishing she would just go away and leave him alone. He glared at the ground and scrubbed harder.

There was a visible flinch from Kofuku as she pulled her hand away from him. His words weren't what stung at her and made her feel those tears spring to her eyes; no, it was his tone of voice instead. Sitting there on her knees, she put her hands in her lap, watching him for a few minutes before speaking. "Is there a reason you're mad at me? I... I know I tracked mud in, and I want to help clean it up. Is that why you're so pissed off with me?" Her voice cracked a little, but she did her best to keep herself generally composed.

"I'm not mad at you. I don't want to talk about it, and I'm on duty." he spares a glance at her, were those... tear? awe Damn. "Don't cry." A vibration of whine entered his voice on the last note. He hated it when women cried.
